Installation and/or maintenance of these products require good technical understanding. For your safety, SW-MOTECH recommends having installation and/or servicing carried out by a specialist workshop. SW-MOTECH assumes no liability for damage caused by improper installation and/or maintenance work.
Carefully follow all directions in these mounting instructions and pay attention to relevant information in the vehicle manual. Nonconformance can lead to vehicle damage or endanger the driver. These instructions are based on the current state of knowledge; legal claims for accuracy do not exist.
This product was developed for vehicles in their factory setting. Compatibility with original accessory parts or other manufacturers' parts is not guaranteed. Before installing, ensure all moving parts (e.g., chain) are in their original state of maintenance. Installed accessories can change driving behaviour and/or stability.
Observe country-specific regulations concerning vehicle registration/operation and applicable TÜV regulations. If required, register installed parts in vehicle documents through an inspection authority.
Preparation: Read instructions carefully, ensure all parts from the list are included. Park vehicle safely. Turn off engine, remove ignition key. Let engine/exhaust cool if necessary. Disconnect vehicle battery when working on electrical systems. Use appropriate tools. Have assistance from another person.
Mounting: Reinstall removed parts as per vehicle manufacturer specifications or replace with SW-MOTECH parts. Secure all threads with medium-strength liquid thread locker unless otherwise specified. Obtain torque specifications not defined by SW-MOTECH from the vehicle manufacturer or a specialist workshop.
Function Check: After installation, ensure all removed parts are properly replaced and no moving parts are obstructed. Cables and hoses must not rub or be pinched. Perform a comprehensive check before riding. After the first 50 km and at regular intervals, check the tightening torque of all screw connections and the proper fit of the product.

Mounting Instructions
- Step 1: Remove the original screws, passenger footrest mounts, and plastic fairings on both sides of the vehicle. ➡️ [Remove original parts]
- Step 2: Attach mounting tabs (1) and (6) to the vehicle using screws (2, 4) and spacers (3, 5). ⚠️ ATTENTION: Use liquid thread locker. Do not fully tighten the screws yet. ➡️ [Attach mounting tabs]
- Step 3: Attach the crossbar (9) to the license plate mount using screws (10) and spacers (11). ⚠️ ATTENTION: Use liquid thread locker. Do not fully tighten the screws yet. ➡️ [Attach crossbar]
- Step 4: Mount the side carriers (12) on both sides to the mounting tabs (1, 6) and the crossbar (9) using the quick fasteners (13) and lock washers. ➡️ [Connect side carriers] ⚠️ ATTENTION: Dismount the side carriers when travelling without luggage. Once all parts are evenly positioned without excess tension, tighten all screws according to the manufacturer's specified torque. NOTE: The anti-theft device is sold separately.

- ATTENTION: The indicated maximum load is inclusive the weight of case/luggage and adapter kit! The maximum vehicle load specified by the manufacturer must not be exceeded!
- The side carriers are designed exclusively for the use of SW-MOTECH adapter kits.
- Dismount the side carriers when travelling without cases/luggage. Always use the side carriers in pairs.
- ATTENTION: Make sure that after attaching the luggage to the vehicle it is not in the exhaust flow! Dangers of burns!

Mounting Instructions
- Step 1: Mount the parts onto the PRO side carrier (sold separately). Tighten screws as specified in the parts list. ➡️ [Mount parts to side carrier]
- Step 2: Adjust the latch hook (1) over the elongated holes to ensure the proper fit of the TRAX ADV/EVO/ION side case. Make sure the side case's latch engages properly when mounted. ➡️ [Adjust latch hook]

Security Information
- The TRAX ADVENTURE ALU-BOX is designed exclusively for mounting on SW-MOTECH QUICK-LOCK side carriers, QUICK-LOCK adapter plate, and STEEL-RACK adapter kit.
- Modifications to the cases will void any warranty.
- ATTENTION: Riding with TRAX ADVENTURE ALU-BOX may affect the motorcycle's driving and braking performance.
- ATTENTION: TRAX ADVENTURE ALU-BOXES M & L must be used in pairs. Ensure even weight distribution.
- Maximum load: Refer to the mounting instructions of the SW-MOTECH QUICK-LOCK side carrier, ALU-RACK, or STEEL-RACK.
- Maximum speed with mounted cases: 130 km/h (80 mph).
- ATTENTION: Ensure the TRAX ADVENTURE ALU-BOX is properly attached to the adapter and fully engaged at all four mounting points. ALL latches must be locked BEFORE riding with the TraX ® EVO / TRAX ADV lock cylinder set (sold separately) and remain closed while riding. Improperly mounted cases risk detaching.
Care Instructions
To clean, use warm, soapy water and a soft, clean cloth. Rinse with clean water. Do NOT use strong cleaning agents, rough tools, or high-pressure washers.
Mounting Instructions
Mounting to QUICK-LOCK Adapter Kit (Side Cases M & L):
- Lead the four openings of the mounting rails onto the locating bolts of the mounted QUICK-LOCK adapter kit. Press the TRAX ADVENTURE ALU-BOX slightly downward until it rests properly on the QUICK-LOCK side carrier. ➡️ [Align rails with bolts] ⚠️ ATTENTION: Make sure all four locating bolts rest on at the same time.
- Place the latch over the latch hook. ➡️ [Place latch]
- Close the latch; check the proper fit of the TRAX ADVENTURE ALU-BOX on the QUICK-LOCK side carrier. ➡️ [Close latch] ⚠️ ATTENTION: Make sure the closed latch is under sufficient tension! If not, the latch hook must be readjusted. ⚠️ ATTENTION: Secure the TRAX ADVENTURE ALU-BOX with the separately available TraX ® EVO / TRAX ADVENTURE lock cylinder set at the QUICK-LOCK side carrier before riding!
Mounting to QUICK-LOCK Adapter Plate / STEEL-RACK Adapter Kit (Top Case TC):
- Lead the four openings of the mounting rail onto the locating bolts of the mounted QUICK-LOCK adapter plate / STEEL-RACK adapter kit. Press the TRAX ADVENTURE ALU-BOX slightly forward until it properly rests on the adapter plate/kit. ➡️ [Align rail with bolts] ⚠️ ATTENTION: Make sure all four locating bolts rest on at the same time.
- Place the lower latch over the latch hook. ➡️ [Place latch]
- Close the latch; check the proper fit of the TRAX ADVENTURE ALU-BOX on the adapter plate/kit. ➡️ [Close latch] ⚠️ ATTENTION: Make sure the closed latch is under sufficient tension! If not, the latch hook must be readjusted. ⚠️ ATTENTION: Secure the TRAX ADVENTURE ALU-BOX with the separately available TraX ® EVO / TRAX ADVENTURE lock cylinder set at the QUICK-LOCK adapter plate / STEEL-RACK adapter kit before riding!
Lid and Lock Cylinder Set:
- Opening the Lid: Pull the latch upwards, remove it from the bar, then open the lid. ➡️ [Open lid]
- Inserting Lock Cylinders: Insert lock cylinders into latches. Secure with clamping plates, ensuring correct alignment. Insert keys and operate lock cylinders. ➡️ [Insert lock cylinders] ⚠️ ATTENTION: Use graphite powder ONLY for lubrication. (* Sold separately)
Lid Limiters:
- Mounting: Open lid. Attach snap-fits (4) to lid frame. Attach lid limiters (5) to case frame. Press limiters onto snap-fits. ➡️ [Attach lid limiters] ⚠️ ATTENTION: Compress lid limiters slightly before first closing. Ensure they are not pinched. To remove the lid, remove limiters first.
Quick Release Fastener:
- Removing Lid: Press quick release fastener down until it clicks, then remove lid. ➡️ [Remove lid] ⚠️ NOTE: Detach lid limiters before removing lid if installed. Press button to lock replaced lid.
- Maintenance & Cleaning: Loosen screws to remove fastener from case. Loosen button screw and clip. Clean components with clear water and air dry. Reassemble in reverse order. ➡️ [Clean fastener]
Anti-theft Protection for PRO Side Carrier (QLS.00.095.10000/B)

This set includes two matched lockable side carrier fasteners and keys. The lock replaces a standard fastener on a PRO side carrier at a QUICK-LOCK mounting point to provide theft protection.
Maintenance
⚠️ Attention: To maintain locks, use graphite powder only.
