Important Safeguards

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should be followed, including:

CAUTION: There are two sharp needles that puncture the K-Cup® pack. Avoid risk of injury by not putting fingers in the K-Cup® Pack Assembly Housing.

CAUTION: Extremely hot water is present during the brew process. Avoid risk of injury by not lifting the Handle or opening the K-Cup® Pack Assembly Housing during brewing.

CAUTION: Always keep the brewer in its upright position.

Short Cord Instructions: A short power supply cord is provided. If an extension cord is used, ensure its electrical rating is at least as great as the appliance's, it is arranged to prevent tripping, and it includes a 3-prong grounding plug.

Section 1: Brewer Overview

The Keurig K10 MINI Plus Brewer consists of the following parts:

Power Button: Press to turn the brewer on and off. Does not illuminate.

Add Water Indicator: Flashing Blue - Fill the Cold Water Reservoir to the desired level (6, 8, or 10 oz.).

Handle Indicator: Flashing Blue - Indicates minimum water (6 oz.) has been poured. Light continues flashing until the Handle is lifted.

Brew Button:

Your Next Brew: After brewing, the Add Water Indicator light appears. You can start the next beverage or power off.

Automatic Shut-Off: The brewer automatically shuts off after 90 seconds of idle time. Press the Power Button to restart.

Drip Tray Overfill Indicator: A red float indicates the Drip Tray is nearly full. Slide out and empty the Drip Tray.

Section 4: Set-Up & Operation

Initial Cleansing & First Brew

CAUTION: Avoid injury from sharp needles in the K-Cup® Pack Assembly Housing.

CAUTION: Avoid injury from extremely hot water during brewing. Do not lift the Handle or open the K-Cup® Pack Assembly Housing until brewing is complete.

  1. Remove all tape and cardboard.
  2. Plug the Power Cord into an independent, grounded outlet.
  3. Press the Power Button. The Add Water Indicator will flash blue.
  4. Lift the Cold Water Reservoir Lid.
  5. Pour water into the Cold Water Reservoir up to the rim of your desired fill level (minimum 6 oz., maximum 10 oz.). Lower the lid.
  6. Lift the Handle. Water begins to drain into the brewer.
  7. Place a mug on the Drip Tray.
  8. Insert the K-Cup® pack into the K-Cup® Pack Holder.
  9. Wait until all water has drained (approx. 5 seconds) before lowering the Handle completely.
  10. The BREW Button will flash blue. Press the BREW Button.
  11. The BREW Button will flash red (heating, approx. 2 minutes), then turn solid red when dispensing begins.
  12. Remove the used K-Cup® pack after brewing. The K-Cup® pack will be hot.
  13. Enjoy your beverage! The brewer is ready for use or can be powered off. It will automatically shut off after 90 seconds.
  14. If performing the initial cleansing brew, discard hot water into the sink.

Section 5: Cleaning & Maintenance

Cleaning External Parts

IMPORTANT: Ensure the brewer is unplugged before cleaning.

Regular cleaning of external components is recommended:

Never immerse the brewer in water or other liquids.

Clean external parts with a damp, non-abrasive, lint-free cloth.

Drip Tray and Drip Tray Plate:

Cleaning the K-Cup® Pack Holder Assembly

IMPORTANT: Ensure the brewer is unplugged before cleaning.

Parts include: Funnel, K-Cup® Pack Holder with Exit Needle.

These parts can be placed on the top shelf of the dishwasher using a low temperature cycle.

  1. Lift the Handle to open. Grasp the K-Cup® Pack Holder and push up from the bottom to release it.
  2. Separate the Funnel from the K-Cup® Pack Holder by pulling until it snaps free.
  3. Clean the Exit Needle on the bottom of the K-Cup® Pack Holder. If clogged, insert a paper clip from below. Avoid touching the needles.
  4. Snap the Funnel back into the K-Cup® Pack Holder.
  5. Align the K-Cup® Pack Holder Assembly with the opening using the front ribs as a guide and snap into place from the top.

Cleaning the Cold Water Reservoir

Discoloration or spotting in the reservoir is normal and does not affect operation. Clean regularly to minimize build-up.

  1. Lift the lid.
  2. Remove the Water Level Guide (not dishwasher safe).
  3. Clean inside the reservoir with a damp, lint-free cloth.
  4. Replace the Water Level Guide and lower the lid.

Emptying the Internal Hot Water Tank

Brewer must be powered off but plugged in.

  1. Lower the Cold Water Reservoir Lid.
  2. Place a mug on the Drip Tray.
  3. Press and hold the BREW Button until all water is dispensed into the mug.
  4. There will be a 3-5 second delay before water dispenses.

De-Scaling Your Brewer

Calcium deposits can hinder brewer performance. De-scaling helps maintain the heating element and internal parts.

De-scale every 3-6 months or when white deposits appear.

You will need: 20 oz. undiluted white vinegar, 12 oz. ceramic mug, access to a sink.

Step 1: First Vinegar Rinse

  1. Fill the Cold Water Reservoir with 10 oz. of undiluted white vinegar.
  2. Place the ceramic mug on the Drip Tray.
  3. Lift the Handle (do not add K-Cup® pack).
  4. After 5 seconds, lower the Handle.
  5. Press the BREW Button. It will flash red, then turn solid red.
  6. Once dispensed, discard hot contents into the sink.

Step 2: Second Vinegar Rinse

  1. Pour the remaining 10 oz. of vinegar into the Cold Water Reservoir.
  2. Place the ceramic mug on the Drip Tray.
  3. Lift the Handle (do not add K-Cup® pack).
  4. After 5 seconds, lower the Handle.
  5. Press the BREW Button. It will flash red.
  6. When it turns solid red, power off as it starts to dispense.
  7. Allow the brewer to sit for 30 minutes.
  8. Power on, lift and lower the Handle, then press the BREW Button.
  9. Once dispensed, discard hot contents into the sink.

Step 3: Fresh Water Rinse

  1. Fill the Cold Water Reservoir with 10 oz. of fresh water.
  2. Place the ceramic mug on the Drip Tray.
  3. Lift the Handle (do not add K-Cup® pack).
  4. Lower the Handle and continue brewing until hot water is dispensed. Discard hot contents.
  5. Repeat this cleansing brew process three more times to remove any residual vinegar taste.

The brewer is now ready for normal use.

Storage

Empty the Internal Hot Water Tank and Cold Water Reservoir before storing. Store upright in a safe, frost-free environment.

Storing in cold temperatures may cause damage. Before use after storage, wipe the reservoir with a damp cloth and run three cleansing brews (without K-Cup® packs).

Allow the brewer to rest at room temperature for at least 2 hours before powering on.

Storing the Power Cord

A compartment behind the brewer is available to hold the Power Cord during transport or storage.

Service

This brewer is not user-serviceable beyond recommended cleaning and maintenance. Refer to the Warranty section for service information.

Section 6: Troubleshooting

SITUATION SOLUTION
Brewer does not have power
  • Press the Power Button. The Add Water Indicator should flash blue. The Power Button does not illuminate.
  • Brewer shuts off automatically after 90 seconds of idle time. Press Power Button to restart.
  • Plug brewer into an independent outlet.
  • Ensure brewer is securely plugged in.
  • Try a different outlet.
  • Reset your home circuit breaker if necessary.
  • Contact Customer Service if the brewer still does not operate.
Brewer will not brew when used for the first time
  • Brewer may be cold or frozen. Let it rest at room temperature for at least 2 hours before powering on.
  • Ensure the brewer has power.
  • Allow enough time for water to drain completely into the brewer.
  • The Exit Needle may be clogged (see page 12).
  • Clean the K-Cup® Pack Assembly (see page 12).
  • De-scale the brewer (see page 14).
  • If the brewer still does not function properly after two de-scaling procedures, contact Customer Service.
Brewer only brews a partial brew
  • The Exit Needle may be clogged (see page 12).
  • Clean the K-Cup® Pack Assembly (see page 12).
  • De-scale the brewer (see page 14).
  • If the brewer still does not function properly after two de-scaling procedures, contact Customer Service.
BREW Button flashes red too long Under normal operation, the BREW Button flashes red during heating and turns solid red during brewing. If it flashes red for longer than 3 minutes, contact Customer Service.
Brewer shuts off automatically Under normal operation, the brewer shuts off after 90 seconds of idle time. Press the Power Button to restart. If it shuts off mid-brew (not due to power outage), contact Customer Service.
Add Water Indicator does not flash blue
  • Ensure the brewer has power.
  • Try raising the Handle to drain water.
  • If the light still does not flash, power off, place a mug on the Drip Tray, hold down the BREW Button until all water dispenses.
  • Contact Customer Service if the brewer still does not operate.
There is water in the Drip Tray Liquid overflow from the cup or reservoir is caught in the Drip Tray.
Red Indicator appears in Drip Tray The Drip Tray is almost full. Carefully remove and empty the Drip Tray.
Brewer will not brew
  • Ensure the brewer has power.
  • If using reverse osmosis or distilled water, the brewer may not operate correctly. Empty the Internal Hot Water Tank (page 14) and use filtered or bottled water.
  • Press the Power Button. If the Add Water Indicator flashes blue, add water and attempt to brew.
  • Check that at least 6 oz. of water has been poured into the Cold Water Reservoir.
  • If the brewer loses power during brewing, lift and lower the Handle to re-set when power is restored.

Section 7: Warranty

Limited One Year Warranty

Keurig, Incorporated warrants the brewer against defects in materials or workmanship under normal home use for one year from the date of purchase. Proof of purchase is required for warranty service. Keurig will, at its option, repair or replace a defective brewer with new or reconditioned parts.

This warranty applies to brewers operated in the United States and Canada and provides specific legal rights that may vary by state or province.

Only Keurig Brewed® K-Cup® brand packs and accessories guarantee proper function and lifetime. Damage or malfunction from non-Keurig products may void the warranty or incur a service fee.

What is not covered by the limited warranty?

This warranty does not cover consequential or incidental damages such as property damage. Some states/provinces may not allow limitations on incidental or consequential damages.

This warranty is exclusive and in lieu of any other express warranty. Keurig specifically disclaims all other warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for any particular purpose. Some states/provinces may not allow disclaimers of implied warranties.

How do you obtain warranty service?

Call Keurig Customer Service at 1.866.901.BREW (2739). Do not return the brewer for servicing without first obtaining an Authorization to Return (ATR) number from Keurig Customer Service.
