Singing Machine's Carpool Karaoke The Mic (“the Product”) is intended solely for use by passengers. The Product is not intended for use by drivers of any motor vehicle. Improper use of the product can lead to risks such as distracted driving, accidents, personal injury or death. All users of the Product can avoid these risks by following the Product’s instructions and their respective state’s driving laws, including the affirmative duty to operate vehicles free of distraction.
IMPORTANT: This Product is not intended for use by drivers. Always obey all local driving laws.

Specific Warnings
WARNING:
To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose this apparatus to rain or moisture. Do not place objects filled with water, such as a vase, on the apparatus.
CAUTION:
To reduce the risk of fire or explosion, do not expose batteries to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or other heat sources.
To avoid excessive over amplified sound output, it is recommended that the volume control is initially adjusted to one third or less and then increase if required.

The microphone has controls on its front and bottom. The front controls include a display, power/standby button, volume up/down buttons for the microphone, buttons for controlling the LED lights, echo level adjustment buttons, and FM tuning buttons. A central button likely serves as play/pause and pairing. The bottom features a Line Out Jack for external audio connection and a Micro USB port for charging.
Getting Started
Charging the Unit
- Insert the included USB charging cable into the Micro USB port on the bottom of the unit.
- Plug the other end of the cable into a computer USB port or USB charging device. Charge the unit for 4 hours to ensure it is fully charged.
- The battery indicator on the display will slowly flash while charging and turn solid when fully charged.
Note: The rechargeable battery must not be replaced by the user.
Audio Connections
AUX Audio Connection
This unit can connect to your car audio, headphones, or favorite audio device using the included 3.5mm AUX cord.

How to Start Singing
Using FM Transmission
- Find an FM station with no signal on your car radio.
- Tune THE MIC to the same FM channel by pressing the FM +/- buttons to match your car radio's frequency.
Using Bluetooth Connection
- Connect to a Bluetooth® device.
- Play your favorite music and sing through your car audio system.
Adjusting Sound
- Adjust the VOLUME and ECHO to your preference.
Note: If the MIC crackles or breaks up, adjust MIC volume down.
Turning Off
- Press the ON/Standby button to turn the MIC off.
Energy Saving
The unit will automatically enter Standby mode after 30 minutes of inactivity (no button presses or singing). Press the ON/Standby button to turn it back on.

Troubleshooting Guide
Vocal Delay
Some car audio systems have enhanced processing that can cause vocal delay. Try connecting via Aux cord. Consult your car's user manual for instructions on disabling Digital Signal Processor.
No Power
The unit's battery is depleted. Connect to a power source to charge.
No Sound from Microphone
- Press the ON/Standby button to turn THE MIC on.
- Ensure the mic and your car audio are connected properly.
- Increase the microphone's volume using the MIC VOL + button.
No Sound from Car Audio
- Confirm the FM frequency on your car audio matches THE MIC's frequency.
- Ensure your car audio volume is not muted or set too low.
Bluetooth Pairing/Connection Issues
- Ensure other Bluetooth devices are turned off to prevent accidental pairing.
- Activate the Bluetooth function on your device; refer to its user manual.
- If the mic is not in pairing mode, press and hold the Bluetooth button to restart pairing.
No Music After Bluetooth Connection
- Ensure your Bluetooth device supports the A2DP Bluetooth profile.
- Increase the volume on your external Bluetooth device.
Limited Warranty and Service
THE SINGING MACHINE COMPANY, INC. warrants this product to be free from defects in material and workmanship for ninety (90) days from the original date of sale. The product will be repaired or replaced at no additional charge if proven defective within this period, provided it is returned at the customer's expense.
This warranty does not cover expenses for removal/reinstallation, damage from accident, misuse, abuse, improper voltage, fire, water, lightning, acts of God, or items used in connection with the product. It also excludes cartons, carrying cases, batteries, damaged cabinets, and products sold AS IS or outside the SMC distribution channel.
All implied warranties are limited to the duration of this warranty. This is the complete warranty; no other expressed warranty is valid. Some states may not allow limitations on implied warranty duration or exclusion of incidental/consequential damages.
This warranty grants specific legal rights, and you may have other rights that vary by state.
