The Kidde Commercial Genesis LED High Candela EGCVH & EGCSVH Series offers high-performance strobes and speaker-strobes with a sleek, low-profile design. These energy-efficient appliances reduce power supply, backup power, and battery requirements, enhancing both energy efficiency and life safety.
Key features include selectable wattage taps for speakers and field-configurable wattage and light output for speaker-strobes. Devices support both 25V and 70V voltage and include a DC blocking capacitor for audio circuit supervision. High-efficiency optics deliver controlled light distribution with reduced current draw, enabling longer circuit lengths and more devices per circuit. They are also backward compatible with legacy Xenon strobes, making them suitable for both new installations and retrofits.
The Genesis LED control protocol ensures synchronization within NFPA 72 requirements. Speakers provide crisp, clear voice audio with a high Speech Transmission Index (STI) of .81, ensuring intelligibility in emergency situations. The universal room-side wiring plate facilitates easy pre-installation and wiring checks.
Strobes: UL 1971-listed for indoor wall or ceiling public-mode notification for the hearing impaired. Required in areas with ambient noise exceeding 105 dBA, where hearing protection is used, or in public accommodation areas per ADA. Synchronization is critical to prevent seizures in photosensitive individuals.
Speakers: Designed for clear voice audio output with high intelligibility, meeting NFPA and UL 520Hz requirements for sleeping areas. Recommended sound pressure levels ensure audibility above ambient noise.
