First Time Use
Filling the Salt Reservoir
The use of salt prevents the formation of limescale on dishes and on the machine's functional components. It is mandatory that the salt reservoir never be empty. It is important to set the water hardness.
The salt reservoir is located in the lower part of the dishwasher. Fill it when the SALT REFILL indicator light is lit.
- Remove the lower rack and unscrew the reservoir cap (anticlockwise).
- For the first time only: fill the salt reservoir with water.
- Position the funnel and fill the salt reservoir right up to its edge (approximately 1 kg). A little water leakage is normal.
- Remove the funnel and wipe any salt residue from the opening.
Ensure the cap is screwed on tightly to prevent detergent from entering the container during washing, which could irreparably damage the water softener. Always complete the salt refilling procedure before starting a wash cycle to avoid corrosion.
Filling the Rinse Aid Dispenser
Rinse aid helps make dish drying easier. Fill the rinse aid dispenser when the RINSE AID REFILL indicator light is lit. Never pour rinse aid directly into the appliance tub.
Filling the Detergent Dispenser
Open the detergent dispenser using the opening device. Introduce detergent into the dry dispenser only. Place detergent for pre-washing directly inside the tub. If using all-in-one detergents, use the TABLET button for optimal washing and drying results. Using detergent not designed for dishwashers may cause malfunction or damage.
Water Softening System
The water softener automatically reduces water hardness, preventing scale buildup and improving cleaning efficiency. It regenerates using salt, so the salt container must be refilled when empty. Regeneration frequency depends on water hardness settings. A single regeneration consumes approximately 3.5L of water, adds up to 5 minutes to the cycle, and consumes less than 0.005 kWh of energy.
Programs Table
Program data for the Eco program is measured under laboratory conditions according to European Standard EN 60436:2020. Pre-treatment of dishes is not needed before any program.
Program | Program Description | Drying Phase | Available Options | Duration (h:min) | Water Consumption (litres/cycle) | Energy Consumption (kWh/cycle) |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
1. Eco 50° | Suitable for normally soiled tableware; most efficient in terms of combined energy and water consumption. Used for EU Ecodesign legislation compliance. | NaturalDry | 3:10 | 9.5 | 0.83 | |
2. Auto Intensive 65° | Automatic program for heavily soiled dishes and pans (not for delicate items). | 2:00 - 3:10 | 14.0 - 17.0 | 1.50 - 1.85 | ||
3. Auto Mixed 55° | Automatic program for normally soiled pans and dishes. | 1:30 - 2:30 | 14.5 - 16.0 | 1.15 - 1.30 | ||

Note for Test Laboratories: For information on comparative EN testing conditions, please send an email to dw_test_support@whirlpool.com.
Not all options can be used simultaneously. Values for programs other than Eco are indicative; actual time may vary. Sensor calibration can increase program duration up to 20 min.
Options and Functions
Options can be selected by pressing the corresponding button. If an option is not compatible with the selected program, the corresponding LED flashes rapidly 3 times and beeps.
- MULTIZONE: For smaller loads to save water, electricity, and detergent. Washes dishes in all racks by default.
- TABLET (Tab): Use if you use powder or liquid detergent; this option should be off.
- EXTRA: For heavy-duty wash cycles of large crockery up to 53cm height (e.g., baking pans, oven grids). Remove the upper rack to load bulky crockery.
- WATER TAP CLOSED Alarm: Flashes when there is no inlet water or the water tap is closed.
- PUSH&GO: Direct access to the Push&GO program for a quick wash and dry cycle. To select, switch on appliance and press the Push&GO button for 3 seconds.
- DELAY: Program start can be delayed from 0:30 to 24 hours. Cannot be set once a wash cycle has started.
- DRAIN OUT: To stop and cancel an active cycle, press and hold the START/PAUSE button. The program stops and water drains.
Auto Door: A convection drying system that automatically opens the door during/after drying for exceptional drying performance. Door opens at a safe temperature for kitchen furniture. A protective foil may be included for steam protection (refer to INSTALLATION GUIDE).
Loading the Racks
Capacity: 14 standard place-settings
Cutlery Rack: Designed to house cutlery.
Upper Rack: Load delicate and light dishes like glasses, cups, saucers, and low salad bowls.
Lower Rack: For pots, lids, plates, salad bowls, cutlery, etc. Place large plates and lids at the sides to avoid interference with the spray arm. The lower rack has tip-up supports for plates or can be used horizontally for pans and salad bowls.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Cleaning the Filter Assembly
Carefully remove any foreign objects (e.g., broken glass, porcelain, bones, fruit seeds). Never remove the wash-cycle pump protection.
Cleaning the Spray Arms
To remove the upper spray arm, turn the plastic locking ring clockwise. The lower spray arm can be removed by pulling it upwards.
Troubleshooting
If your dishwasher doesn't work properly, check the following list. For other issues, contact authorized After-sales Service.
Problem | Possible Causes | Solutions |

Dishwasher does not fill with water. Display shows: F6, On/Off and START/Pause LEDs blinking rapidly. | No water supply or tap closed. Inlet hose is bent. Sieve in water inlet hose is clogged. Drain hose positioned too low or siphoning. Air in water supply. |
Ensure water supply or tap is open. Ensure inlet hose is not bent (see INSTALLATION). Reprogram and reboot. After verification/cleaning, turn off/on and restart. Check drain hose height (see INSTALLATION). Check for siphoning; install air admittance valve if necessary. Check water supply for leaks or air ingress. |
