Controls and Features
1. Level Knob
Controls the output level of the reverb effect. Turn this knob clockwise to increase the output level, and counter-clockwise to decrease the output level. When the Level knob is set to its maximum position, the dry signal is completely removed, allowing the DigiVerb to run in an effects loop of a mixer.
2. EQ Knob
Controls the amount of high-frequency boost or cut in the reverb signal. Turn this knob clockwise to boost high frequencies, and counter-clockwise to reduce high frequencies.
3. AC Adapter Jack
Connect a DigiTech PS200R power supply to this jack. Use the proper supply for your area's Mains line voltage.
4. Decay Knob
Controls the amount of reverb decay time. Turn the knob clockwise to increase the decay time and counter-clockwise to decrease the decay time.
5. Type Knob
Selects one of seven different studio-quality reverb types: Room, Plate, Hall, Church, Gated, Reverse, and Spring.
6. Input Jack
Connect your instrument to this jack. Connecting a guitar cable to this jack supplies battery power even though the Indicator LED may not be lit. To prolong battery life, disconnect all cables from the pedal when not in use.
7. Pedal Release Pins
These two pins are spring-loaded hinges that hold the pedal in place. Push these pins in to release the pedal from the pedal chassis, exposing the battery compartment.
8. Pedal
Press the pedal to turn the effect on and off.
9. Out 1 (Mono) Jack
Connect this output to a single guitar amplifier when only one amp is being used.
10. Indicator LED
This LED lights when the effect is turned on. If the LED becomes dim or does not light when cables are connected, the battery needs to be replaced.
11. Out 2 Jack
Connect this output to a second amplifier for stereo reverb. Stereo operation provides the most effective reverb experience from the DigiVerb pedal.
Pedal Diagram Description:
The DigiVerb pedal features the following components:
- Knobs: LEVEL (1), EQ (2), DECAY (3), TYPE (4)
- Jacks: IN (6), OUT 1 (MONO) (9), OUT 2 (11)
- Other: Pedal (8), Indicator LED (10), X-SERIES label, DigiVerb Digital Reverb label, DigiTech logo.
- Rear/Side: AC Adapter Jack (3), Pedal Release Pins (7)
Connections
The DigiVerb has a single input and a pair of outputs. Out 1 is used for connection to a single amplifier. Out 2 is used for stereo operation. Connect Out 1 to amplifier 1 or the input of a mixer channel, and Out 2 to amplifier 2 or the input of another mixer channel.
The DigiVerb can also be connected to the effects send/return of a mixer. Connect the mixer's effect send to the In (6) of the DigiVerb. Connect Out 1 (9) and Out 2 (11) of the DigiVerb to the return(s) of the mixer. Since the DigiVerb is an effect pedal, a line-level signal from a mixer can distort its input. Adjust the mixer's effect send control to reduce any distortion.
CIT™ Cabinet Modeling
The DigiVerb features built-in CIT™ cabinet modeling. This is useful when running a distortion pedal into the DigiVerb and then running direct into a mixer or recorder. CIT cabinet modeling creates a guitar-through-an-amplifier sound without needing a guitar amp.
Enabling CIT™ Cabinet Modeling
To enable CIT™ Cabinet Modeling, press the pedal down and apply power by connecting a guitar cable to the DigiVerb input or connecting the PS200R power supply to the AC adapter jack. CIT™ cabinet modeling must be enabled each time power is applied to the DigiVerb.
Battery Replacement
To replace the battery:
- Using the tip of a 1/4" guitar cable, push one of the release pins on either side of the pedal to remove the pedal from the pedal chassis.
- Remove the battery from the battery compartment and disconnect the battery cable.
- Connect a new battery to the battery cable and place it back in the battery compartment. Ensure the battery cable does not interfere with the spring or pedal switch arm.
- Place one hole of the pedal over its corresponding pin.
- Push the opposite pin in and lower the other side of the pedal into place over the depressed pin. Release the pin. When properly fastened, both release pins should be flush with the outer side of the pedal.
