Philips Television
Quick Start Guide
For 7406 / 7466 series
Getting Started: Unpacking and Stand Assembly
This guide helps you set up your new Philips television. Please follow these steps carefully.
Step 1: Unpack and Prepare. Carefully remove the television and accessories from the packaging. It is recommended to place the TV on a soft, flat surface, such as a blanket or the foam packaging, to protect the screen.
Step 2: Attach the Stand.
- Identify the stand components: typically two legs (left and right) and screws.
- For screen sizes 43", 50", and 55", the stand legs are usually marked 'L' (left) and 'R' (right) and attach to the bottom of the TV.
- For the 65" model, the stand assembly might differ slightly but follows a similar principle.
- Align the stand legs with the corresponding mounting points on the TV base.
- Secure the stand legs using the provided screws (often labeled 'x4' indicating four screws are needed). Ensure they are tightened properly.
After assembly, the TV can be placed upright on a stable surface.
Optional: Wall Mounting
Your Philips TV can also be mounted on a wall. Ensure you use the correct VESA mounting hardware.
VESA Mounting Specifications:
- 43" TV: VESA 100x200mm, requires M6 screws with a length of 10mm to 12mm.
- 50" TV: VESA 200x200mm, requires M6 screws with a length of 18mm to 22mm.
- 55" TV: VESA 200x200mm, requires M6 screws with a length of 14mm to 16mm.
- 65" TV: VESA 300x300mm, requires M6 screws with a length of 18mm to 22mm.
Refer to the separate wall mounting instructions or consult a professional if needed. Ensure the wall and mounting bracket are suitable for the TV's weight.
