Please read these instructions carefully before operating the appliance and keep them for future reference.

WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not remove the cover (or back). No user-serviceable parts inside. Refer servicing to qualified personnel.

Setup & Basic Operation

Connect to Power Source

  1. Plug the small end of the power cord into the POWER Input on the back of the unit, and the large plug into a standard wall power outlet.
  2. Press the Power [power-symbol] button to turn on the unit.

Using the FM Radio

Tuning the FM Radio

  1. Press the Power [power-symbol] button and set the Function Dial to FM.
  2. The FM icon will turn on, and the frequency will show on the LCD display.
  3. Press and hold the TUN+ or TUN- button to search for the previous/next available FM station.
  4. For better reception, try Manual Tuning: briefly tap TUN+ or TUN- to fine-tune the station.
  5. Adjust the MASTER VOLUME for desired volume.
  6. Press the Power [power-symbol] button to turn off the radio when finished.

To set FM Radio presets

Store up to 20 FM stations for easy recall.

  1. Turn on the unit and set the Function Dial to FM.
  2. Use TUN+ or TUN- to select the desired station.
  3. Press and hold the MEM button; the preset channel number (e.g., “P01”) will blink.
  4. Tap the [skip-back-symbol] or [skip-forward-symbol] button to select a preset location (P01-P20).
  5. Press the MEM button again to confirm.
  6. Repeat steps 2-5 to preset up to 20 stations.

Recall a preset station

Tap the M+ button repeatedly until you reach the desired preset number/radio station.

Playing a Record

Handle the tone arm, stylus, and other components with extreme care as they are sensitive and can break easily.

  1. Press the Power [power-symbol] button and set the Function Dial to Phono.
  2. Lift the turntable dust cover, remove the stylus cap, and release the tone arm lock.
  3. Select the correct turntable speed (33 1/3, 45, or 78 RPM) based on the record type.
  4. For 45 RPM records, use the included adapter.

Tone Arm Operation:

  1. Use the Tone Arm Lift Switch to raise the Tone Arm.
  2. Gently swing the Tone Arm over the record. The turntable will start spinning.
  3. Use the Tone Arm Lift Switch to lower the stylus onto the record. Using the switch reduces the risk of accidental damage.
  4. Auto Stop: Slide the Auto Stop Switch to ON to automatically stop the turntable when the record finishes.
  5. When the record ends, use the Lift Switch to raise the stylus and return the Tone Arm to its catch.
  6. If the Auto Stop area is outside the unit's range, the record may stop before the last track. In this case, set the Auto Stop Switch to OFF and use the Tone Arm Lift Switch to manually raise the stylus.
  7. When not in use, secure and lock the Tone Arm in its resting position and replace the protective shroud over the stylus to prevent damage.

Connecting to Bluetooth®

Pairing a Bluetooth® enabled Device with the Turntable

  1. Press the Power [power-symbol] button and set the Function Dial to BT.
  2. Press and hold the PAIR [bluetooth-symbol] button; the Bluetooth indicator will blink, and the unit will enter pairing mode.
  3. Keep your device within 3 feet of the unit during pairing.
  4. Turn on Bluetooth on your device and search for nearby devices.
  5. Select "VICTOR VHRP-1200" from the device list. If prompted, enter the passcode "0000".
  6. A chime will sound, and the Bluetooth indicator will light steadily when successfully paired.

Note: The unit stays paired unless manually unpaired or reset. If connection fails, repeat pairing steps or press and hold the PAIR button.

Playing Audio Wirelessly

  1. After pairing, use your device's controls to play audio.
  2. Audio will play through the connected Bluetooth device's speakers or the turntable's speakers, depending on the mode.

Stream Music from the Turntable to an external Bluetooth® Speakers

  1. Power on the unit and set the FUNCTION dial to Phono mode.
  2. Press and hold the BT OUT button. The unit enters pairing mode, and the BT indicator blinks.
  3. Turn on your Bluetooth speakers and search for them. Turn off unused Bluetooth receivers to avoid linking to unwanted devices.
  4. The effective distance is 33 feet (10 meters).
  5. The turntable will auto-scan and pair with nearby Bluetooth receivers. The BT indicator will stop blinking when connected.
  6. Play music on the turntable in Phono or AUX mode. Sound will now play through the connected Bluetooth device speakers instead of the turntable speakers.
  7. Press and hold the BT OUT button when finished. The BT indicator will turn off, and the unit speakers will function again.

Notes:

Connecting to External Systems

RCA Audio Output

Requires RCA audio cables (red/white, not included).

  1. Connect RCA audio cables to the RCA Audio Output on the turntable and to the audio input of an external stereo system, television, or other source.
  2. Adjust the external stereo system to accept input from the turntable.
  3. Audio played through the turntable will now be heard through the connected stereo system.

Using the AUX IN (3.5mm Audio Input)

Requires a 3.5 mm audio input cable (not included).

  1. Plug a 3.5 mm audio input cable into the Aux In jack on the turntable and connect the other end to the audio output/headphone output of an MP3 player or other audio source.
  2. Set the FUNCTION Dial to AUX and use the controls on your connected music player to select and play audio.
  3. Audio played through the connected device will now be heard through the speakers.
