About Your Solo OutdoorCam C22 / C24
The eufy Solo OutdoorCam C22 and C24 are security cameras designed for outdoor use. This manual provides instructions for setup, operation, and management via the eufy Security app.
Camera Components:

- Micro USB port (for connecting to a USB charger)
- SYNC button
- microSD card slot (for storing recordings)
Getting Started
Power On the Camera
- Connect the micro USB connector to the OutdoorCam's micro USB port and the other end to a power adapter.
- Plug the power adapter into a power outlet. Wait until the camera status LED turns solid blue.
Set Up the System
- Download the eufy Security app from the App Store (for iOS devices) or Google Play (for Android devices).
- Create an account and tap "Add Device" to add OutdoorCam to your device list.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.

Mounting the Camera
Select a Location and Height for Mounting
The camera can be placed on a table, shelf, or mounted on a wall. Before mounting:
- Select a location and height that provides the desired view and easy access to a power outlet.
- Ensure the camera receives a strong Wi-Fi connection for video streaming to the eufy Security app.
- Disconnect the OutdoorCam from the power outlet before mounting.
When placed on a table, keep the OutdoorCam at least 0.7 ft (20 cm) away from walls or obstructions to avoid infrared reflection affecting night vision.
When mounted on a wall, install the OutdoorCam no higher than 10 ft (3 m) above the ground to maximize motion sensor detection range.
Mount the Camera
A. Place the camera on a table
Attach the bottom of the camera to the magnetic base and place it on the table.
B. Mount the camera onto a wall
- Drill a pilot hole using a power drill. Install the metallic plate using the provided anchors (optional) and screws. Anchors are needed for brick or concrete walls. Ensure enough space for the charging cable before fixing screws.
- Attach the magnetic base to the metallic plate. Attach the Outdoor Cam Pro / Outdoor Cam onto the magnetic base.
- Rotate the camera to adjust the view and check it using the live stream in the eufy Security app.
Tip: A 3M adhesive strip is provided for users who prefer not to drill holes. Adhere the metallic plate with the 3M adhesive strip after fastening the charging cable under the metallic plate's hook.
Restore Power
Connect the camera to the power outlet using the provided USB cable and USB adapter. After powering on, the camera will connect to the system. The status LED will turn solid blue upon successful connection.
Reset the Camera
Press and hold the SETUP/SYNC button for 10 seconds until two beeps are heard. The camera will restore its default settings.
The camera is now ready for use.
Using Your eufy Security App
Use the Devices Page
View the Devices Page
After successful setup, the Devices page displays live video from the OutdoorCam. The app interface includes:
- Camera Name: Displays the name of your outdoor camera (e.g., "outdoor Camera").
- Camera Icons: Icons for various camera functions.
- Device List: Shows other connected devices like "Entry Sensor" and "HomeBase 2".
- Add Device: Option to add new devices.
- Navigation Bar: Includes "Devices", "Events", "Security", and "Explore" tabs.
- Buy eufy Security products: Link to purchase more products.
- Events log: Access to event history.
- Security Modes: Access to security mode settings.

View Live Feeds
Live feeds can be viewed on the eufy Security app anytime. On the Devices page, tap the play symbol (▶) on the camera video image to view live feeds.
Note: When the camera is turned off, it is offline, and no live feeds can be viewed.
Record Video Clips
To record video clips, tap the record symbol (square with circle) in the camera feed image. Video clips will be saved in your photo album.
Take a Screenshot from Live Video
- On the Devices page, tap the play symbol (▶) in the camera video image to play the live video.
- Tap the scissors symbol. The screenshot will be saved in your photo album.
Activate Two-Way Audio
This function allows speaking to people on the camera side.
- On the Devices page, tap the play symbol (▶) in the camera video image to play the live video.
- Hold the microphone symbol and speak. Your voice will be heard from the camera in real-time.
Camera Settings
On the Devices page, press the gear/cogwheel symbol to enter the Camera Settings page.

Name Your Camera
- Go to the Devices page. Tap the gear/cogwheel symbol to enter the Camera Settings page.
- Tap "Name" and edit the name in the Camera Name's field.
- Tap "Save". Your settings will be saved.
Turn On/Off Spotlight
When Spotlight is enabled, adjust brightness and turn on/off based on schedule. Auto Spotlight is enabled by default and turns on when detection is triggered.
Note: When Spotlight is enabled, the picture will be in color even at night.
Motion Detection
OutdoorCam detects motion and sends an alert. By default, it detects humans. You can select detection type (Person / Pet / All other motion) and sensitivity. Disabling stops motion detection, video recording, and notifications.
Set an activity zone
Define a specific area for detection:
- On the Camera Settings page, tap "Motion Detection". The Motion Detection page displays options.
- Tap "Activity Zone". You will be prompted to create a zone.
- Tap the "+" button to create a hexagon zone.
- Drag each point of each side to cover the desired zone.
- Tap the checkmark symbol. Your edited activity zone will be saved.
- To remove an Activity Zone, tap the trash can symbol. To edit, tap the pencil symbol.
Sound Detection
Designed for alerts when sound is detected. Define preferences and sensitivity. Selecting "All sound" notifies for any sound. For baby monitoring, select "Crying" to be notified when the baby cries.
Note: Sound detection accuracy may be affected by external noises.
Continuous Recording
Continuous recording requires a formatted microSD card. All video is recorded in 1080p to optimize SD card storage.

Video Quality
Set streaming and local recording quality on the eufy Security app.
To change the video quality:
- Go to Camera Settings > Video Quality. The Video Quality page is displayed.
- Tap the icon on the right to enter the Streaming Quality page.
- Tap Auto, High, Medium or Low. Auto is default and recommended. Your selection will be saved.
The camera supports 2K recording by default for local storage. To change recording quality:
- Go to Camera Settings > Recording Quality. The Recording Quality page is displayed.
- Tap the icon on the right to enter the Recording Quality page.
- Tap 2K HD or Full HD. Your selection will be saved.
Note: Cloud storage recording resolution is 1080p and cannot be changed.
Audio Settings
Microphone, Audio Recording, and Speaker are On by default. To change audio settings:
- Go to Camera Settings > Audio Settings. The Audio Settings page is displayed.
- Select the Microphone or Speaker to enable or disable.
- If Microphone is disabled, audio recording, talk-back, live video sound, and sound detection are disabled.
- If Speaker is disabled, features like talk-back, alarm, and pet command are disabled.
Notification
When motion or sound is detected, a phone notification is sent. All subjects are notified without intervals by default. You can select notification type and interval between event notification and recording.
To select detection for notification:
- Go to Camera Settings > Notification. The Notification page is displayed.
- Select the type you want to be notified.
Interval range is from 0 to 5 min. You can also select how notifications are pushed.
Storage Option
Three options for video feed storage: local, cloud, and NAS.
Local Storage
Local storage records and stores camera video on your device. A formatted microSD card is required for local storage or continuous recording.
To insert / remove a microSD card:
- Insert a microSD card into the OutdoorCam until it clicks. Ensure correct insertion.
- To remove, gently push its top edge inward until it clicks, then pull it out.
Estimated storage duration for continuous 1080p recording:

Note: For best experience, use a microSD card with 16G to 128G capacity. Format before use. Do not remove or insert a microSD card when OutdoorCam is powered on to avoid damage.
Cloud Storage
Cloud storage allows storing event recordings via the cloud, accessible from the eufy Security app or website. Recordings are encrypted and require permission for access. Video resolution for cloud storage is 1080p.
A 30-day free trial is offered for OutdoorCam Cloud Storage; videos are kept for 30 days.
To subscribe to paid service:
- For iOS users, subscribe via the website: https://mysecurity.eufylife.com
- For Android users, subscribe from the eufy Security app: Device Settings > Storage > Cloud Storage.
NAS Storage
Video recordings stored to NAS are accessible only via the NAS app, not the eufy Security app. If NAS storage is used, triggered event recording or continuous recordings are saved to your NAS device.
Follow on-screen instructions to complete NAS setup.
Add OutdoorCam to Home
To add OutdoorCam to Home (HomeKit integration):
- Go to Camera Settings > Homekit Portal. The "Add to Home" page is displayed.
- Tap "Add Now" to add the accessory. The Attention page is displayed.
- Tap "Got it". The "Request Data Access" page prompts for permissions to access Home Data.
- Tap "Go Set". You will be guided to your phone's Settings page.
- On your phone's Settings page, enable "Home Data".
- Back on the Homekit Portal page, "My Home" is added.
- Tap "Continue" to add cameras.
- An "Add Accessories" prompt is displayed, requesting to add accessories. The eufy Security app will search for accessories.
This process may take seconds. Ensure your accessory is powered on and connected to your home router via the internet.
Firmware Update
The system may push firmware updates automatically. During updates, the LED indicator flashes blue and red alternately until completion.
To ensure the latest software, go to Camera Settings > About Device page, check for updates, and follow on-screen instructions for manual update.
Restart or Remove a Device
To restart or remove a device:
- On the Devices page, tap the gear/cogwheel symbol to enter the Camera Settings page.
- Scroll down and tap "Restart Device" or "Remove Device".
If "Remove Device" is selected, the device will be deleted from your account and needs to be set up again.
Use the Events Page
View Recordings
View recordings using the filter and calendar.
To view recordings using the filter:
- Go to the Events page. Tap the filter symbol (inverted triangle) in the upper right corner. The filter page is displayed.
- Select desired filter options.
- Tap "Confirm". Your choice will be saved.
To use the calendar:
- Tap the date shown on the Events page. The calendar will display.
- Select the date to view recordings. All recordings matching selections will display.
- Tap the play symbol (▶) to view the recordings.
Download Recordings
To download recordings:
- Go to the Events page. The page displays a list of events.
- Play a video.
- Tap "Download". The video will be downloaded and saved to your photo album. Download time varies with video capacity.
Share Recordings
To share recordings:
- Go to the Events page. The page displays a list of events.
- Play a video.
- Tap "Share". The video will be downloaded and saved to your photo album.
- A page prompts sharing to other apps (e.g., Gmail, Facebook, Twitter).
Donate Recordings
Grant permission to the eufy Security team to use selected recordings for research.
To donate a recording:
- Go to the Events page. The page displays a list of events.
- Play a video.
- Tap "Donate" and "Confirm". The video will be sent to the eufy Security team.
Delete Recordings
To delete recordings:
- Go to the Events page. The page displays a list of events.
- Select the video to delete.
- Tap "Delete" and "Confirm". The selected video or screenshot will be deleted.
Note: If the video is stored on both microSD card and cloud, it will be deleted from both.
Batch Delete All Recordings
All videos can be deleted by batch.
To delete all recordings:
- Tap the checkbox symbol. A list of recordings will be displayed.
- Select many or all videos to delete and tap "Deselect". The selected videos will be deleted.
Security Modes
Security modes control how the camera responds to motion or sound. For example, notifications can be paused when at home and enabled when away.
The eufy Security system offers: Home, Away, Disarmed, Customized, Geofencing, and Schedule modes.
Home mode
Camera records, sends notifications/alerts for motion/sound, but no alarm is triggered. Recommended for home use.
Away mode
Detects human/entry, triggers alarm, activates recording, sends phone notifications. Recommended when away from home.
Disarmed
All detection functions disabled. No sensors activated, no alarm alerts sent.
Customized mode
Recommended for specific needs (e.g., recording video but no notifications while sleeping). Customize options to create your own mode.
Geofencing
Location-based service that automatically switches camera mode when entering or leaving a specified area in the eufy Security app. Requires Wi-Fi and location access enabled for the app.
Schedule
Security modes can switch automatically based on a set schedule (e.g., Away mode from 7 am to 5 pm on weekdays).
Rules
Rules define actions triggered in each mode: Record Video, Push Notifications, Camera Alarm.

When "Record Video" is selected, the eufy Security app records video when motion or sound is triggered. If not selected, no video is recorded.
When "Push Notification" is selected, messages/alerts are received via phone. If not selected, no notifications are received.
When "Camera Alarm" is selected, the alarm triggers on motion/sound detection. If not selected, no alarm is triggered.
Customize your mode using these options.
Note: Home and Away modes can be set, but Disarmed mode cannot be set.
Set a Security Mode Manually
Camera responds to motion/sound as specified in the eufy Security app. Default is Home mode.
To set a security mode:
- Go to the app page, tap "Security" in the bottom bar. The Security page is displayed.
- Select the camera to set a security mode. That camera's security mode page is displayed.
- Tap a mode. The selected mode will be activated and remain active until changed.
- Tap the gear/cogwheel symbol in the right corner to view device rules.
Set a Geofencing Mode
Requires Wi-Fi and eufy Security app location access ("Always") for Geofencing mode to be available.
To set a Geofencing mode:
- Go to the app homepage, tap "Security" in the bottom bar. The Security page is displayed.
- Select the camera to set a security mode. That camera's security mode page is displayed.
- Tap "Geofencing". A prompt requests location use.
- Tap "Go Set". The eufy Security App Permissions page is displayed.
- Tap "Location Service" and set to "Always". (Skip if already set to Always).
- Go back to the Geofencing page. Your location is located. Tap the "Address" field to change location for accuracy. Tap "Save". The address will be saved.
- Tap the "Radius" in the lower-left corner and select Small / Medium / Large. Tap "Next".
- Enter a name for your location and tap "Next". A list of available modes is displayed (Away mode default).
- Select a mode for when you are away from home and tap "Next". Your device will automatically set to this mode when outside the area.
- Select a mode for when you are at home and tap "Next". Your device will automatically set to this mode when in the area.
- Select devices to utilize Geofencing. Tap "Next".
- Tap "Save". Your settings will be saved. The setup Summary page displays details.
Use Geofencing with Your Friends
Collaborate with family/friends using geofencing if:
- Friends' mobile phones are added to your contact.
- Your geofencing function is enabled.
- Your friend has logged on to the eufy Security app.
- You grant your friend Admin permission.
To enable Geofencing for family or friends:
- Go to the app page, tap "Security" in the bottom bar. The Security page is displayed.
- Select the camera to set a security mode. That camera's security mode page is displayed.
- Tap "Geofencing". The Geofencing page is displayed.
- Tap "Enabled Devices". The Enabled Devices page is displayed.
- Choose mobile devices to share geofencing with. Selected devices will display in the Enabled Devices list.
Geofencing is enabled after the request is accepted.
To disable geofencing, tap mobile devices to remove from the enabled device list.
When geofencing is active and shared, if one person is in the specified area, the mobile device switches to Home mode. If everyone is out, it switches to Away mode.
Geofencing Accuracy
Accuracy may be affected by:
- Phone location accuracy.
- Battery saving strategy (may cause 20 seconds to 6 minutes delay).
To improve geofencing accuracy:
- Update phone's system and Map version.
- Keep operating system updated.
- Do not turn on phone's battery saver.
- Keep location updated.
Schedule Your Mode
Activate or deactivate devices in a set scheduled period, repeatable weekly.
To add a schedule:
- Go to the app homepage, tap "Security" in the bottom bar. The Security page is displayed.
- Select the camera to set a security mode. That camera's security mode page is displayed.
- Tap "Schedule". Tap the gear/cogwheel symbol. The Schedule page is displayed.
- Tap the "+" symbol. The Add Schedule page is displayed.
- Select a mode, activation time, and repeat period. Tap "Save". The Schedule page will display schedules.
Schedules can be edited. If duration is not set to a specified mode, it defaults to Disarm mode.
Set a Customized Mode
To set a customized security mode using the eufy Security app:
- Go to the app homepage, tap "Security" in the bottom bar. The Security page is displayed.
- Select the camera to set a security mode. That camera's security mode page is displayed.
- Tap the "+" symbol. The Create Security Mode page is displayed.
- Enter name and select icon for customized mode. Tap "Next".
- Define actions of the camera sensor. Sensors will act as defined when customized mode is activated.
App Settings
Customize settings and grant access permissions to family/friends via the eufy Security app.
Personalize Your Account
Change nickname and password. Account settings changes will update your eufy Security app profile.
To change your Nickname:
- On the Devices page, tap the three horizontal lines symbol in the sidebar. Your profile will be displayed.
- Tap your profile. The Account Settings page is displayed.
- Tap "Nickname". The Change Nickname page is displayed.
- Enter a new nickname.
- Tap "Save". The nickname will be saved.
To delete your account:
- On the Devices page, tap the three horizontal lines symbol in the sidebar. Your profile will be displayed.
- Tap your profile. The Account Settings page is displayed.
- Tap "Email". The Email page is displayed.
- Tap "Delete Account". A warning pops up.
- Tap "Continue". You are instructed to remove all devices.
- Tap "OK". Your account will be deleted.
Note: Deleting your account deletes all associated data. A new account is needed to sign up again.
To change your password:
- On the Devices page, tap the three horizontal lines symbol in the sidebar. Your profile will be displayed.
- Tap your profile. The Account Settings page is displayed.
- Tap "Password". The Change Password page is displayed.
- Enter the new password and confirm. The password will be changed successfully.
Log on using the new password next time.
Note: Password change may fail if: incorrect password input, different passwords input twice, or password rules not followed.
To use Touch ID:
- On the Devices page, tap the three horizontal lines symbol in the sidebar. Your profile will be displayed.
- Tap your profile. The Account Settings page is displayed.
- Tap "Touch ID". The Touch ID page is displayed.
- Enable Touch ID. A prompt "Press Home Button to Verify" is displayed.
- Press phone's Home Button to verify. Setting is saved. Log in using Touch ID.
To turn off push news and product updates:
- On the Devices page, tap the three horizontal lines symbol in the sidebar. Your profile will be displayed.
- Tap your profile. The Account Settings page is displayed.
- Tap "Receive News and Product Updates". The Subscription page is displayed.
- Turn off the subscription option. The eufy Security app will stop sending alerts/updates.
Share Device to Family & Guests
Share device access with family/friends, granting admin or guest permissions. Permissions vary by role:

To grant permissions to family or friends:
- On the Devices page, tap the three horizontal lines symbol in the sidebar. Your profile will be displayed.
- Tap "Family & Guests". The Invite page is displayed.
- Tap "Invite".
- Select the permission to grant.
- Tap "Next". Select the device to share.
- Tap "Next". Enter the email address of the person.
- Tap "Confirm". An invitation will be sent. Upon acceptance, device permissions are shared.
Note: Invite up to 5 users once. If invitation denied, check email address validity.
App Permissions
To use the eufy Security app, the following permissions must be granted:
- Location permission: Needed to select a server for local data storage. Geofencing requires "Always" location access.
- Photo permission: Needed for video recording and screenshots.
- Local network: Needed for camera detection.
- Bluetooth permission: Needed for setup. Prompted if Bluetooth is disabled.
- Microphone permission: Needed for two-way audio.
- Camera permission: Needed for scanning QR codes during setup.
- For iOS users, Home Data: Needed only when HomeKit is used.
- Notification: Needed to receive notifications.
- Cellular Data: Needed when phone's Wi-Fi is unavailable.
Change the Device Display Order
To change device display order:
- On the Devices page, tap the three horizontal lines symbol in the sidebar. Your profile will be displayed.
- Tap "Settings". The Settings page is displayed.
- Tap "Device Display Order". A list of devices in their added order is displayed.
- Drag the icon on the right to the desired position.
- Tap "Save". The setting will be saved.
Customize the Screenshot Popup
To customize the Screenshot Popup:
- On the Devices page, tap the three horizontal lines symbol in the sidebar. Your profile will be displayed.
- Tap "Settings". The Settings page is displayed.
- Enable or disable the Screenshot Popup. If disabled, the eufy Security app stops pushing the screenshot feedback window.
Note: The Screenshot popup is used for feedback comments and is On by default.
