Additional Warnings

Introduction
This document provides a product guide for the Onn CD Mini Stereo System, model ONA17AA015. It covers setup, operation, and specifications.
Main Unit Overview
The main unit features:
- 1. CD DOOR: For inserting and removing CDs.
- 2. POWER: Button to turn the unit on or off.
- 3. FUNCTION: Button to cycle through input modes (CD, Radio, AUX, Bluetooth).
- 4. OPEN: Button to open the CD door.
- 5. LCD DISPLAY: Shows current mode, time, track information, etc.
- 6. STOP: Stops CD playback or switches FM radio mode.
- 7. PLAY/PAUSE/PAIRING: Plays/pauses CD, recalls radio stations, or initiates Bluetooth pairing.
- 8. TUNING: Adjusts radio frequency or selects CD tracks.
- 9. VOLUME: Adjusts the audio volume level.
- 10. DC IN: Port for the AC adapter.

Remote Control
The remote control allows operation of the stereo system. Key buttons include:
- DISPLAY: Press to view the clock on the LCD display.
- STANDBY: Press to turn the unit on/off. Press to turn off the alarm when it has sounded.
- TUNE/SKIP/SEARCH: In radio mode, tunes the AM/FM frequency. In CD mode, selects tracks. Long press searches tracks at high speed.
- MODE/CLK PROG: In CD mode, sets playback modes (Normal, Repeat 1, Repeat All, Random). When CD is stopped, programs CD tracks. When unit is OFF, sets the clock. In Radio mode, saves AM/FM stations.
- FUNCTION: Switches between CD, Radio, AUX, and Bluetooth modes.
- PLAY/PAUSE/PAIRING/M+: In CD mode, plays/pauses. In radio mode, recalls saved stations. In Bluetooth mode, long press to disconnect.
- EQ: Switches between Rock, Pop, Jazz, or Classic EQ settings.
- MUTE: Mutes the audio output.
- VOLUME (+/-): Increases or decreases the volume level.
- SLEEP/ALARM SET: Sets the sleep timer or sets the alarm when the unit is OFF.
- STOP: Stops CD playback. In radio mode, switches FM radio mode.
- SNOOZE: Delays the alarm for 9 minutes. In radio mode, selects FM mono or ST.
Setup
Power
Plug the attached 5V/2.3A adapter into a standard AC power outlet to power the home theater system.
Remote
The remote requires 1 CR2025 battery (pre-installed). The diagram shows a CR2025 lithium battery being inserted into the remote's battery compartment. The compartment cover should be opened, the battery placed correctly (positive side up), and the cover closed.
Speakers
Plug the speaker cables into the corresponding colored speaker outputs (e.g., red to red, black to black, or as indicated by L/R terminals).
CD Playback
Playing a CD
If this is your first time playing a CD, remove the cardboard disc from behind the CD DOOR before attempting to play an actual CD.
- Press the OPEN button to open the CD DOOR.
- Insert a CD into the unit.
- Press the POWER button to turn on the unit.
- Press the FUNCTION button until the unit is in CD mode. The loaded CD will play automatically.
- Press the MODE/CLK/PROG button to select the play mode: Normal → Repeat 1 → Repeat all → Random → Normal.
Programming a CD
- Follow the steps for "Playing a CD", then press the STOP/BAND button.
- Press the MODE/CLK/PROG button. "PROGRAM" and "P-01" will appear on the LCD display, indicating program mode.
- Press the TUNE/SKIP buttons to select the desired track.
- Press the MODE/CLK/PROG button to select the track. "P-01" will change to "P-02".
- Repeat steps 3 and 4 until the desired CD tracks are programmed.
- Press the PLAY/PAUSE/M+ button to play the programmed tracks.
- To review programmed tracks, press the MODE/CLK/PROG button repeatedly in stop mode.
Bluetooth Wireless Streaming
- Turn on the unit by pressing the STANDBY button.
- Press the MODE button to set the unit to "BT" mode.
- Press the PAIRING button on the top of the unit. "ONA17AA015" will appear on your Bluetooth-enabled device. Select "ONA17AA015" from the available list and your Bluetooth audio device to connect. To pair with a different device, press the PAIRING button to disconnect the current device or ensure the current device is out of range.
- During playback, press the PLAY / PAUSE button to pause, and again to resume playback.
- While in STOP mode, press SKIP UP + or SKIP DOWN – to select a specific track.
- To skip forward or backward on the disc, press SKIP UP + or SKIP DOWN – to go to the beginning of the next or previous track.
- To search within a track, press and hold the SKIP UP + or SKIP DOWN – button.
Note: If the last paired Bluetooth audio device is powered on and within range, it will automatically reconnect to the ONA17AA015.
Clock and Alarm
Setting the Clock
- Press the STANDBY button to turn off the unit.
- Press the MODE/CLK/PROG button; the display will flash the time.
- Press the TUNE/SKIP buttons to adjust the hour and minute.
- Press the MODE/CLK/PROG button to confirm the adjusted time.
Note: A PM INDICATOR will appear on the display when the time is set in the PM. Ensure the correct AM/PM is set.
Setting the Sleep Timer
- Press the STANDBY button until the unit is turned on.
- Press the SLEEP/ALARM SET button until "SLEEP" appears on the LCD.
- Press the SLEEP/ALARM SET button consecutively to adjust the sleep timer between 0 and 90 minutes.
- After the allotted time has expired, the unit will power off.
Note: When the sleep time is 00, the sleep timer is off, and the "sleep" icon will disappear.
Setting the Alarm
- Press the STANDBY button to turn off the unit.
- Press and hold the SLEEP/ALARM SET button; the display will flash the time.
- Press the TUNE/SKIP buttons to adjust the hour and minute.
- Press the SLEEP/ALARM SET button to confirm the adjusted alarm time. An alarm clock icon ⏰ will appear on the LCD Display when the alarm is set.
- Press the FUNCTION button to select CD, RADIO, or BUZZER. For BUZZER mode, no indication is shown.
- To stop the alarm after it has sounded, press the STANDBY button.
Note: A PM INDICATOR will appear on the display when the time is set in the PM. Ensure the correct AM/PM is set.
Cancelling the Alarm
- Press the SLEEP/ALARM SET button twice to cancel the alarm. The ALARM icon on the display will disappear.
- To resume the alarm, simply press the SLEEP/ALARM SET button again. The ALARM icon will reappear.
Radio, Auxiliary Input, and Line Input
Using the Auxiliary Input
Requires a RCA Cable (not included).
- Connect an audio device to the AUXILIARY INPUT.
- Press the FUNCTION button to set the unit to AUX mode as indicated on the LCD Display.
- The audio device will play through the speakers.
Note: The AUXILIARY INPUT will not work when a device is connected to the LINE INPUT.
Using the Line Input
Requires a Line Input Cable (not included).
- Connect audio devices including phones, tablets, and MP3 players to the LINE INPUT.
- Press the FUNCTION button to set the unit to AUX mode as indicated on the LCD Display.
- The audio device will play through the speakers.
Note: When the LINE INPUT is connected, the AUXILIARY INPUT will not work.
Using the Radio
- Press the STANDBY button until the unit is turned on.
- Press the FUNCTION button to set the unit to Radio mode as indicated on the LCD Display.
- Press the STOP button to select FM radio bands.
- Press the TUNE/SKIP buttons to adjust the radio frequency.
- Press and hold the PLAY/PAUSE/M+ button to enter automatic station searching.
Saving with Program
- Tune the radio to the station you want to save.
- Press the MODE/CLK/PROG button to enter program mode, then press the PLAY/PAUSE/M+ button to select a preset number.
- Press the MODE/CLK/PROG button again to save the current station.
- Repeat steps 1-3 to program more stations.
Note: You can program up to 20 FM presets and 10 AM presets.
