Warning:

Battery Installation (Remote Control)
Battery installation:
- Press the tab on the battery door and lift it off.
- Install two (2) x AAA size batteries into the battery compartment, observing the polarity markings inside the compartment. [Diagram showing AAA batteries being inserted into a compartment with correct polarity indicated].
- Replace the battery door.
Battery Precautions:
- Use only the size and type of battery specified.
- Avoid replacement of a battery with an incorrect type.
- Ensure correct polarity when installing the battery. A reversed battery may cause damage to the device.
- Do not mix different types of batteries (e.g., Alkaline and Carbon-zinc) or old batteries with fresh ones.
- If the batteries are consumed or the device is not to be used for a long period, remove the batteries to prevent damage or injury from possible battery leakage.
- Do not try to recharge batteries not intended for recharging; they can overheat and rupture. Follow battery manufacturer's directions.
- Do not dispose of batteries in fire or a hot oven, or by mechanically crushing or cutting.
- Do not leave batteries in extremely high temperature surrounding environments.
- Avoid battery exposure to extremely low air pressure.
- Clean the battery contacts and those of the device prior to battery installation.
Remote Control Sensor:
Diagram Description: Shows the front of the player with the IR remote sensor. Indicates an effective range of 15 Feet (5M) and a reception angle of 30° left and 30° right.
Remarks:
- When there is an obstacle between the unit and the transmitter, the transmitter may not operate.
- When direct sunlight, an incandescent lamp, fluorescent lamp, or any other strong light shines on the remote control of the unit, the remote operation may be unstable.
Power Source
Charging by supplied AC/DC Adaptor:
- Connect the small plug from the supplied AC/DC Adaptor to the DC IN Jack on the right side of the unit.
- Connect the AC/DC Adaptor to the wall outlet (AC 100-240V~, 50/60Hz).
- During charging, the red indicator will light, and it will turn green when finished charging.
Notes: For saving energy, unplug the AC/DC Adaptor from the wall outlet if the unit will not be used for a long period of time.
Your battery will last longer if you follow these simple guidelines for caring and storing it:
- A. Do not overcharge (longer than 24 hours). Excessive charging or discharging may shorten the battery's life.
- B. Battery life naturally shortens slowly over time.
- C. The rechargeable battery incorporated in this product is not user replaceable.
Charging by the supplied Car Adaptor:
- Connect to the cigarette lighter socket of a vehicle that has a 12V battery. [Diagram showing a car adapter plugged into a cigarette lighter socket and connected to the unit's DC IN jack]. It is not compatible with a vehicle that has a 24V battery.
- This is a special negative grounded Car Adapter. Using this Car Adapter with a positive grounded car can cause malfunction.
- Do NOT plug in the Car Adapter until the car ignition is turned on.
- Disconnect the Car Adapter from the cigarette lighter and the unit after use.
Connections
Connecting to a TV or Video Player (such as DVD, VCR, DVR Players) with an AV connection cable.
Diagram Description: Shows the rear panel connections of the DVD player and how they connect to a TV and a Video Player using an AV cable. The player has ports for USB, SD/MMC CARD, EARPHONE, AV OUT, AV IN, and DC IN. The AV OUT ports are color-coded: Yellow for Video, White for Audio Left, and Red for Audio Right. These connect to the corresponding input jacks on a TV or Video Player.
NOTE:
- The default setting of the unit is AV Out. If connecting to an external Video Player (such as DVD, VCR, DVR Players...), press and hold the SOURCE button to set to AV IN mode ("AV IN" will appear on the screen), press and hold again to resume.
- Use the Earphone (not included) to listen privately.
Swivel Panel
The viewing angle of the swivel panel can be adjusted as desired:

Operations
- Lift up the panel and turn to the desired angle. Slide the Power ON/OFF switch to "ON" to power on the unit; the green indicator on the front of the player will light.
- Press the OPEN button to open the disc door. Place the disc on the center spindle with the label side facing up. Close the disc door; the player will start playback automatically. If this does not occur, press the Play/Pause (II) button.
- During playback:
- Press the Skip Forward (>>) or Skip Backward (<<) buttons on the remote control repeatedly to fast search forward/backward.
- Press the Play/Pause (II) button on the remote control to resume normal playback.
- Press the Next Track (>>) or Previous Track (<<) buttons on the remote control repeatedly to skip to a specific track or chapter.
- Press the Play/Pause (II) button on the remote control to pause; press the Play/Pause (II) button again to resume normal playback.
- Press the VOL +/- buttons on the remote control to adjust the volume level.
- Press the STOP button on the remote control to pre-stop. The player will remember the point where the disc was stopped. When the Play/Pause (II) button is pressed again, playback will start from that point. Press the STOP button twice to stop completely; press the Play/Pause (II) button to start from the beginning.
- For saving energy, always power off the player by sliding the Power ON/OFF switch to the OFF position or unplugging the wall power adapter from the player and wall outlet.
Repeat Playback: (DVD)
- Press the REPEAT button once: the current chapter will playback repeatedly and continuously.
- Press the REPEAT button twice: the current Title will playback repeatedly and continuously.
- Press the REPEAT button a third time: all files will playback repeatedly and continuously.
- Press the REPEAT button repeatedly to turn off the repeat mode.
Repeat Playback: (CD)
- Press the REPEAT button once: the current track will playback repeatedly and continuously.
- Press the REPEAT button twice: all tracks on the disc will playback repeatedly and continuously.
- Press the REPEAT button repeatedly to turn off the repeat mode.
(CD/DVD) Program:
- During CD or DVD playback, press the PROG (Program) button.
- Using the Direction, OK, and Numeric buttons, select and set the desired Title (T), Chapters (C), or tracks (for CD) of the movie/music you want. The Program menu will appear as follows. - Using the Direction buttons, select and highlight the "CLEAR" or "+" button on the screen, then press the OK button to clear all programmed items if there is wrong programming.
- Using the Direction buttons, select and highlight the "PLAY" or Play button on the screen, then press the OK button to start program playback.
Operations (Continued)
- LCD ON/OFF: Press to turn the LCD display on or off.
- POWER: Press to turn to standby mode. Press again to turn on.
- Volume +/-: Press to increase or decrease volume.
- MUTE: Press to turn off the sound; press again to resume.
- MENU: Press to return to the disc's menu page (function depends on the recording of the disc).
- OSD (On Screen Display): During playback, press repeatedly to read the information of playback status.
- SUBTITLE: During DVD playback, press repeatedly to select the desired subtitle (function depends on the recording of the disc).
- STEP: During movie playback, press repeatedly to play the movie frame by frame. Press the Play/Pause (II) button to resume normal playback.
- TITLE: Press to return to the disc's title page (function depends on the recording of the disc).
- ANGLE: During DVD playback, press repeatedly to select the viewing angle (function depends on the recording of the disc).
- ZOOM: During movie playback, press the ZOOM button repeatedly to zoom in/out the picture. When in zoom in mode, press Direction buttons to select parts of the zoomed picture to watch (this function is not available on all discs).
- GOTO:
- For DVD discs: Press to display the Title (TT), Chapter (CH), and time selection. Input the desired title, chapter, or playback time. Press the OK button to confirm.
- For audio CD discs: Press to display the Track (TRK) and time selection. Input the desired track or playback time. Press the OK button to confirm.
- AUDIO:
- During DVD playback, press repeatedly to select the desired audio language (function depends on the recording of the disc).
- During CD playback, press repeatedly to select the desired audio channel (function depends on the recording of the disc).
- A-B Repeat: During playback, press the A-B button to define the start point of a section. Press the A-B button again to define the end point. The unit will then play the selected section repeatedly and continuously. Press the A-B button again to resume normal playback (this function is not available on all discs).
- SLOW: During playback, press the SLOW button repeatedly to set the slow motion speed. Press the Play/Pause (II) button to resume normal playback.
USB or SD/MMC Card Playback
- Insert the USB device or SD/MMC memory card into the USB port/card slot. [Diagram Description: Shows the USB port and SD/MMC card slot on the player].
- Note: The unit supports playback of MP3 (Music files) and JPG (Pictures). Make sure correct files are saved in the USB device or memory cards.
- In Power ON mode, press the USB/CARD button on the remote control. A "DVD, CARD, USB" selection window will pop up on the screen. Use the Direction buttons to select and highlight the source, then press the OK button to confirm. Use the Direction and OK buttons to select the desired Folder or File, then press the OK button to start playback.
- During playback:
- Press the Skip Forward (>>) or Skip Backward (<<) buttons on the remote control repeatedly to skip backward/forward.
- Press the Fast Forward (>>) or Fast Backward (<<) buttons on the remote control repeatedly for fast searching backward/forward.
- Press the Play/Pause (II) button to pause. Press again to resume normal playback.
- Press the STOP button on the remote control to return to the menu.
System Setup
Press the SETUP button on the remote control or press and hold the SETUP button on the unit. The setting menu will appear on the screen. During setting, use the Direction buttons (Up, Down, Left, Right) to select and highlight the function to set or reset, then press the OK button to confirm. After setting, press the SETUP button to save and exit.
SYSTEM SETUP Menu:
- TV System: Can be set to NTSC, PAL, or AUTO to match the connected TV.
- POWER RESUME: If set to On, the unit will start playback from the position where the disc was stopped last time.
- Screen Saver: If set to On, the screen saver will activate when the unit is idle or the image is paused for several minutes.
- TV Type: Set the aspect ratio to match the connected TV.
- Video: Use the Direction and OK buttons to set it to CVBS to match the connected TV.
- Default: Select to restore all settings to factory default.
LANGUAGE SETUP:
- Osd Language (On Screen Display Language): Use the Direction and OK buttons to set the priority of the available language (function depends on the recording of the disc).
- Audio Lang (Audio Language): Use the Direction and OK buttons to set the priority of the available language.
- Subtitle Lang (Subtitle Language): Use the Direction and OK buttons to set the priority of the available language or set it off.
- Menu Lang (Menu Language): Use the Direction and OK buttons to set the priority of the available language of the on-screen menu.
RATING SETUP:
Diagram Description: Shows the Rating Setup menu with options for Password and Rating.
- Password: Press the button to highlight the password field, then enter the default password "0000" to unlock the rating, and press the OK button to confirm. The lock status will be displayed. To change a password, highlight the password column, enter a new four-digit password, and press the OK button to confirm.
- Rating: After unlocking, press the button to enter the rating level. Use the Up/Down or Left/Right buttons to select the desired rating level, then press the OK button to confirm the setting.
Rate levels:
- KID SAFE: Kid safe
- G: All ages
- PG: Parental Guidance
- PG 13: Parental Guidance less than 13 years old
- PG-R: Under 17 years old, Parental Guidance suggested
- R: Under 17 years old, Parental Guidance strongly
- NC-17: 17 years old or above
- ADULT: Adult only
TFT SETUP:
Use the Direction and OK buttons to set or reset picture quality such as Brightness, Contrast, Hue, and Saturation.
DIGITAL SETUP:
- Dual Mono: Use the Direction and OK buttons to set it to Stereo, Mono L (Plays Left channel on all speakers), Mono R (Plays Right channel on all speakers), or Mix Mono (Mixed Right and Left channel then plays on all speakers) as desired (functions depend on the recording of the disc).
- Downmix: Use the Direction and OK buttons to set it to LT/RT or Stereo as desired.
- If set to LT/RT, the rear left and rear right channels will play on both Left and Right Speakers.
- If set to Stereo, the rear left channel will play on the Left Speaker, and the rear right channel will play on the Right Speaker.
- Dynamic Range: Use the Direction and OK buttons to set the dynamic level or turn it off.
Care and Maintenance
Caring for Discs:
Treat the disc carefully. Handle the disc only by its edges. Never allow your fingers to contact the shiny, unprinted side of the disc.
- Do not attach adhesive tape, stickers, etc., to the disc label.
- Clean the disc periodically with a soft, lint-free, dry cloth. Never use detergents or abrasive cleaners. If necessary, use a CD cleaning kit.
- If a disc skips or gets stuck, it is probably dirty or damaged (scratched).
- When cleaning the disc, wipe in straight lines from the center of the disc to the outer edge. Never wipe in circular motions. [Diagram Description: Shows a disc being wiped from the center outwards with a cloth, and bottles of cleaner].
- Store discs in their cases after each use to avoid damage.
- Do not expose discs to direct sunlight, high temperatures, or dust. Prolonged exposure or extreme temperatures can warp the disc.
- Do not stick or write anything on either side of the disc. Sharp writing instruments or ink may damage the surface.
Cleaning the Unit:
- To prevent fire or shock hazard, disconnect the unit from the AC power source when cleaning.
- The finish on your unit may be cleaned with a dust cloth and cared for like other furniture. Use caution when cleaning and wiping the plastic parts.
- Mild soap and a damp cloth may be used on the front panel.
