The power supply unit may need to be ordered separately if required.
Connecting the Scanner
When connecting the scanner, ensure the cable is properly inserted into the scanner. Release the locking plate and slide it over the base of the cable connector to secure the cable in place. Tighten the screws.
USB Connection
Connect the scanner to the computer via USB.

Barcode Reading
Close Range Scan
For close range scans (less than 11.8 inches / 30 cm), use the red aiming light and center the box over the barcode. The laser aimer will be positioned to the right of the barcode center.
Long Range Scan
For long range scans (up to 50 feet / 15.2m), use the laser aimer and aim at the center of the barcode. The red aiming light may not be clearly visible at long distances.
Note: If the barcode has a coating that causes significant reflection, slightly tilt the scanner's projection angle to scan the barcode.
Standard Product Defaults
Scan the following barcodes to revert to the default settings.
Default Product Settings
USB Serial
Scan the following barcodes to program the scanner to emulate a standard RS232-based COM port. If you are using a Microsoft® Windows® PC, you will need to download drivers from the Honeywell website (www.honeywellaidc.com). The drivers use available COM port numbers. Apple® Macintosh computers recognize the scanner as a USB CDC class device and automatically use the class driver.
