The Ecodan Multi PXZ is a heat pump system that combines air-to-air and air-to-water technologies for heating, cooling, and domestic hot water production. It offers the perfect synergy of two technologies in a single solution.

- Air-to-Air Heating and Cooling: Utilizes indoor units like wall-mounted, floor-standing, ducted, and ceiling units.
- Air-to-Water Heating: Connects to hydronic terminals in the living space, with or without domestic hot water production.
- Domestic Hot Water Production: Integrated with Hydrotank (with built-in tank) or compatible with external tanks via Hydrobox.
A Unique System for All Needs
The innovative Ecodan Multi PXZ series heat pumps in R32 offer maximum energy efficiency and the flexibility of both water and direct expansion air conditioning solutions in a single product. Achieve A+++ efficiency in cooling, A++ in heating, and A+ for domestic hot water production.
Enjoy comfort, quiet operation, and functionality even at -20°C external temperature, with a water supply temperature of up to 55°C, adapting to any installation configuration.
Energy Efficiency Classes
The Ecodan Multi PXZ series meets high energy efficiency standards:
- Air-to-Water Heating: SCOP Rank A++ (low temperature), SCOP Rank A+ (medium temperature).
- Air-to-Air Heating: SCOP Rank A++.
- Air-to-Air Cooling: SEER Rank A+++.
Indoor Units: Hydrobox and Hydrotank
The Ecodan indoor hydronic modules offer great flexibility for domestic hot water generation and heating. They are compact and house all essential hydraulic components.
- Hydrobox: For wall-mounting in kitchens, utility rooms, or small technical spaces. Can be paired with a domestic hot water tank.
- Hydrotank: For floor installation in small niches or utility rooms. Features an integrated tank (170/200/300 liters) for domestic hot water production.
Outdoor Units
Available in two sizes: PXZ-4F75VG (7.50 kW) supporting up to 4 indoor units (1 water + 3 air) and PXZ-5F85VG (8.50 kW) supporting up to 5 indoor units (1 water + 4 air).
These heat pumps offer unique installation ease, allowing direct connection of various indoor units to the outdoor unit, reducing installation time and wall work.
System Configurations
Traditional Systems vs. Ecodan Multi PXZ:
- Traditional: Requires separate units for air conditioning and air-to-water heat pumps, leading to more outdoor units and space usage.
- Ecodan Multi PXZ: Consolidates functions into a single outdoor unit, saving space and offering greater efficiency. Connect up to 5 indoor units to one outdoor unit.
Water Supply Temperature and Silent Mode
- Water Supply Temperature: Guarantees a constant 55°C water supply temperature down to -1°C external temperature.
- Silent Mode: Provides quiet operation with minimal noise from the outdoor unit. The PXZ-5F85VG operates at only 54 dB(A) sound pressure.
Seasonal Operating Modes
- Winter: Air-to-water heating and domestic hot water (ACS).
- Autumn/Spring: Air-to-air heating/cooling and domestic hot water (ACS).
- Summer: Air-to-air cooling and domestic hot water (ACS).
Integrated Domestic Hot Water System
Ecodan Multi PXZ with Hydrotank: The outdoor unit can be paired with the Hydrotank indoor module to meet all heating and domestic hot water needs, with an output temperature up to 55°C. The Hydrotank features a 170, 200, or 300-liter tank for domestic hot water.
Ecodan Multi PXZ with INWALL System: The INWALL system, for external installation, includes a 175-liter enameled steel domestic hot water tank and all essential system components.
Optional Domestic Hot Water Accumulation
Ecodan Multi PXZ with Hydrobox and Optional Domestic Hot Water Accumulation: The Hydrobox indoor module offers installation flexibility for all heating needs. It houses hydraulic components and can be paired with an optional external tank for domestic hot water.
