Manual DS-55506
1. Introduction
The DIGITUS HDMI Extender Set enables HDMI signal transmission over a distance of up to 70 m (4K/30Hz). The extender set supports UHD resolution (4K2K/60 Hz, 4:4:4, 18 Gbps) over a CAT 6/7/8 cable (60m distance). Thanks to PoC (Power over Cable), only one unit needs to be supplied with power by an external power adapter. HDR, HDCP support as well as automatic EDID detection are also included as features. Using the HDMI loop-out to the transmitter unit, a local monitor can be connected in order to monitor the output to the receiver.

6. Application Example
IR system diagram illustrating IR cable usage. A DVD player (1) is connected to an IR blaster cable (2), which connects to the Transmitter unit. A CAT 5e/6 cable (3) connects the Transmitter to the Receiver. An IR receiver cable (4) connects to the Receiver, and a DVD remote (5) is used to control a TV (6).
Application Example A
Diagram A shows the DIGITUS HDMI Extender Set in use. A source device, such as a DVD or Blu-ray player (2), connects to the HDMI IN of the Transmitter unit (A). The Transmitter's HDMI OUT is connected to a local display (1) for loop-out monitoring. A CAT 5e/6 cable (3) links the Transmitter's CAT OUT to the Receiver unit (B)'s CAT IN. An IR Blaster (4) connects to the Transmitter's IR OUT, enabling remote control signals to be relayed via the Receiver's IR IN.
Application Example B
Diagram B shows the DIGITUS HDMI Extender Set in use. A source device (not shown) connects to the Transmitter's HDMI IN. A CAT 5e/6 cable (3) transmits the signal from the Transmitter's CAT OUT to the Receiver unit (B)'s CAT IN. The Receiver's HDMI OUT connects to a UHDTV or TV (1). An IR Receiver (6) connects to the Receiver's IR IN, facilitating remote control of the source device.
