Getting started
Introduction
Your SmartWatch 3 accessory is powered by Android Wear and supports voice commands. You can ask questions like “When is my next meeting?” or “How do I get to the train station?” and get answers immediately. You can also use your SmartWatch 3 to receive and reply to messages, view appointment notifications, and glance at weather updates – all from the convenience of your wrist.
Your SmartWatch 3 features built-in GPS and Wi-Fi® support, and you can pair your SmartWatch 3 with your Android™ phone or tablet using NFC or Bluetooth®. When configuring the Wi-Fi® settings, you can set your SmartWatch 3 to automatically connect to saved Wi-Fi® networks in cases where the connection between your SmartWatch 3 and phone or tablet gets lost. Important information
Using your accessory in wet and dusty conditions
Ensure the Micro USB port cover is firmly closed for water and dust resistance.
Your accessory is water and dust resistant in compliance with Ingress Protection (IP) ratings IP68. This means it is dust resistant and protected against immersion for 30 minutes in fresh (non-saline) water up to 1.5 meters deep.
You can use your accessory:
- In dusty environments (e.g., windy beach).
- When your fingers are wet.
- In extreme weather conditions (snowing or raining).
- In fresh water (lake/river) up to 1.5 meters deep.
- In a chlorinated swimming pool.
Even if resistant, avoid exposing it to excessive dust, sand, mud, or moist environments with extreme temperatures. Micro USB port water resistance is not guaranteed in all conditions.
Never immerse in salt water or let the Micro USB port contact salt water. Avoid liquid chemicals like detergent. After exposure to non-fresh water, rinse the accessory, especially the Micro USB port cover, with fresh water.
Normal wear and tear, or damage, can reduce resistance. Dry areas around the Micro USB port after water use. Condensation buildup between the device and wrist may affect GPS accuracy; check and clean moisture regularly. A wet microphone may be impacted until dry (up to 3 hours); other features remain usable. Chargers and Micro USB cables are not water/dust resistant.
Your warranty does not cover damage from abuse or improper use, including use in environments exceeding IP rating limitations. Contact customer support for further questions.
