BEFORE FIRST USE
- Remove all packaging materials.
- Clean the appliance as per the CLEANING section.
- Run the appliance 2-3 times with water only (no coffee) to remove manufacturing odors and residues.
BASIC OPERATION
- Place the appliance on a stable, level, non-slippery surface, away from heat sources or flammable materials. Follow all safety guidelines.
- Slide out the filter basket (D) using the handle, insert a coffee filter paper, and fill with ground coffee. Slide the basket back into place.
Note: Use approximately one spoon of coffee per cup of water, adjusting to taste.
- Open the lid (A) and pour up to 1.6L of cold water into the opening. Do not overfill.
- Place the coffee jug (E) on the base hotplate (F). Ensure the jug's intake opening aligns with the filter basket's output.
- Connect to mains power, switch on the socket, and press the left On/Off switch (C). The indicator light will illuminate, signaling the start of coffee preparation. Coffee will begin dispensing into the jug shortly.
CAUTION: The machine heats up immediately upon switching on the On/Off switch (C). Exercise caution.
- When brewing is complete, the indicator light will turn off. Wait one minute for dripping to stop before serving.
- To keep coffee hot, leave the jug on the base hotplate (F) or the top hotplate (G). Activate the top hotplate by pressing the right On/Off switch (C).
- After use, switch both switches (C) to the off position and unplug from the mains. Clean the coffee maker.
CLEANING and MAINTENANCE
IMPORTANT: Ensure the coffee maker is switched off, disconnected from the mains, and completely cool before cleaning or maintenance.
- Daily: Wash the jug and filter basket with warm, soapy water. For stubborn stains, soak the jug in a water & vinegar solution for 20 minutes, then rinse thoroughly.
- Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth, then polish with a dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or metallic objects.
NEVER IMMERSE THE APPLIANCE!
DESCALING
Depending on water hardness, interior parts may calcify. Descale approximately every 6 months to maintain optimal condition and brewing results. Descale if brewing time increases, sounds become louder, or the machine shuts off with water remaining in the tank.
- Prepare solution: Dissolve 100g descaler in 1L cold water, OR mix 300g lemon juice with 1L warm water (below 50°C).
- Insert the filter basket (without coffee).
- Place the empty jug under the filter basket.
- Carefully fill the water tank with the prepared solution.
(Note: The descaling process instructions appear incomplete in the provided PDF excerpt, detailing only preparation and initial steps.)
