This manual explains the Marvis Conversational Assistant. The procedures are based on Mist Cloud as of May 2025. If the actual screens and displays differ, please check the update information.

Marvis Conversational Assistant Overview
Marvis Conversational Assistant is an AI-based chat interface equipped with Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Natural Language Understanding (NLU). It analyzes inquiries using NLP/NLU and provides context-aware responses. Marvis enhances efficiency in tasks such as troubleshooting, document search, and more, through a user-friendly, real-time interface. Users can select prompts or directly ask Marvis questions using natural language.

Natural Language Inquiry: Example: "unhappy clients" (clients experiencing dissatisfaction)
Launching Marvis Conversational Assistant
Launch Marvis Conversational Assistant by clicking the Marvis icon on the top left or bottom right of the screen.
The chat window will open at the bottom right of the screen.
Features:
- Expand Window [⊞]
- Close Window [✖]
- You can start inquiries using prompts.
- You can inquire using natural language (spoken language).
- Currently, inquiries in Japanese are not supported.
Inquiring via Prompts
The chat window opens at the bottom right of the screen.
Clicking a prompt will re-display the prompt.

Troubleshoot | Execute troubleshooting for Device (Wireless/Wired Client), Site, Application. |
Search | Search for Client, Device, Site. |
Documentation | Search for documents. |
Marvis Actions | Display the Marvis Actions dashboard (pending actions). |
Select the desired prompt to perform troubleshooting, search for Client/Device/Site, or search for documents. If information is insufficient for extraction, you will be prompted to enter the necessary information.
Troubleshoot Device
Execute troubleshooting for a Device.
Enter the user name when reporting an issue for troubleshooting.
Click "Troubleshoot" then "Device".
Specify the Device (MAC/Name), e.g., "hal".
Issues will be presented.
Troubleshoot Site
Execute troubleshooting for a Site.
Click "Troubleshoot" then "Site".
Specify the Site, e.g., "live demo".
You can confirm details by clicking.

Troubleshoot Application
Execute troubleshooting for an Application.
Troubleshoot by entering the application name if multiple users report issues with the same application.
Click "Troubleshoot" then "Application".
Specify the Application, e.g., "Facebook".
Related Applications will be displayed.
Search Site/Device/Client etc.
Perform searches for Site/Device/Client.
Searching by MAC address, Name, model, etc., is possible.
Click "Search".

- AP
- Switch
- WAN Edge
- Client
You can specify the Client, e.g., "Everest-4".
Documentation Search
Execute a search for documentation.
Enter the search term, e.g., "wi-fi 7".
Click "Documentation".

Marvis Actions
The chat window opens at the bottom right of the screen.
Click "Marvis Actions".
Navigate to Marvis Actions.
Click to transition to the main screen for Marvis Actions.

Natural Language Inquiry (Spoken Language)
Example: Check clients with issues in the last 7 days.
You can specify the investigation period, such as "in last 7 days".
Inquiry Example: "unhappy clients in last 7 days"
View details by clicking.
Details to investigate:
- Failure Timeline
- Client Insights
- Scope of Impact
- Recommendation
(Display varies depending on the status)
Example: Check communication with issues in Microsoft Teams.
You can confirm End-to-End communication from all Juniper to the Cloud.
Inquiry Example: "who had a bad teams call"
Confirm the target site.
Select by clicking.
Specify "Live Demo".
View communication details by clicking.
Display simple NW status with status icons.
Indicates capacity issues due to non-Wi-Fi interference.
Example: Confirm settings when the location is unknown via chat.
Related setting screens are displayed.
You can confirm the location even if you are unsure.
Profile = Template: Search for items related to Template.
Marvis Feedback
You can provide feedback on the response.
Enter the improvement details and click "Submit".

Microsoft Teams Integration
Overview
Marvis app is now available in Microsoft Teams. You can easily access Marvis directly from the desktop, web client, or mobile Teams app. Without logging into Mist Cloud, you can search for devices, view details, troubleshoot networks, and search for documentation.
Adding the Marvis App
You need administrator permission to use the Marvis app. Please consult your administrator.
Search for "marvis" in the Teams app menu.
Click "Add".
Click "Add" again.
Greeting Message
Upon successful installation, the following greeting message will be displayed.
Settings
Configure the settings to use the app.
Required settings are:
- Cloud
- Org ID
- Org Token
Cloud
Confirm the Cloud Instance displayed at the top of the login screen. You can also confirm via URL.
Currently, only Cloud 01 to 04 and Europe 01 are selectable.
Org ID
Each Organization is assigned a unique Organization ID. Copy the value from Organization > Settings > [Organization ID] and paste it.
Org Token
Generate the API Token from Organization > Settings > API Token > [Create Token]. Enter [Name], set the Access Level (permission level) and Site Access (scope) as needed, and click [Generate].
Click [Key] (API Token) to copy and paste the value.
The API Token cannot be confirmed later. If forgotten, regenerate it.
Connect
Click [Connect].
Upon successful connection, the following will be displayed: "Connected to Org {Org Name}".
You can use the following commands:

- configure: Add/reconfigure
- my_configs: Display list of effective configurations
- active: Display active configuration
