Product Description

Thomann's introduction of the achat System 1 is a sound reinforcement system suitable for larger applications. The simple handling of the achat System 1, which results in less time and effort for the user when setting up for an event, must be emphasized. The mid-high range speakers, as well as the subwoofers, made of 18 mm lightweight plywood, black-finished and with sturdy front grills, result in not only excellent appearance but also optimal protection of the drivers. Much attention has been paid to the interior of the cabinets. Struts at all critical points strengthen the speakers, thus enabling heavy-duty use and significantly reducing any vibrations. Milled-out handles and optional wheels (Order Code: 191100) on the rear panel help to improve handling. Flying tracks on top have also been implemented; suitable double studs for rigging (Order Code: 107988) are also available.

The achat 112's two drivers are mounted coaxially. Due to a carefully tuned crossover design, runtime errors at the crossover point have been minimized so the sound of the speaker is virtually radiated out of a single point source. Therefore, a remarkable uniform dispersion with a homogenous sound has been achieved compared to conventional arrangements. Using the achat system 1 with two subwoofers on each side is sufficient to lift the achat 112 well above the audience's average head height. Thus, the total height of the tower is 2.33 meters with the tweeter standing at a height of 2.03 meters. When the speakers are stacked, there is the possibility to tilt the achat 112 by 8 degrees by inserting the Splayboard 8 (Order Code: 197143) under the achat 112. We recommend securing the towers with tie-down straps (Order Code: 172171).

achat 112 Mid/High Speaker

Coaxial hornloaded 2-way mid/high speaker, suitable for any kind of public address. Recommended for use with the achat 118 subwoofer. Designed for maximum intelligibility and wide dynamic range even at the highest output levels. A highly controlled dispersion helps with difficult acoustical challenges. Suitable for rigging applications.

Technical Data

The top panel of the achat 112 is equipped with flying tracks. Due to its lightness (43kg), rigging is less heavily loaded, allowing for larger spans and the use of centre speakers. M10 eyebolts can be screwed into the side panels for permanent installation. The achat 112 can be tilted by 8 degrees using the optional Splayboard 8 (Order Code: 197143). Handles on the side panels and optional wheels provide easy transport. The speaker features a black finish with a sturdy front grill protecting both drivers.

Compact hornloaded subwoofer for high sound pressure down to 37 Hz. Offers great dynamic capabilities and extraordinary transient response for powerful and natural low-end sound. Designed for the achat system but also suitable for use with other mid-high range speakers to extend the bass range.

Technical Data

The lightness (53.5 kg), handles on the side, and optional wheels facilitate easy transport. The cabinet has a black textured finish, protected by a sturdy steel front grill designed to significantly reduce vibrations for clear sound. Two M20 connector plates allow the use of speaker stands with the achat 112 (plate on side panel) or smaller speakers (plate on top panel).

Connector Panel Functionality: The rotating disc on the connector panel enables flexible wiring. With the vertical position set, the achat 118 connects to Speakon 2+/2-, with the other pair 1+/1- wired through for the achat 112 or other speakers. With the horizontal position set, the achat 118 connects to Speakon 1+/1-, with the other pair 2+/2- wired through for mid-high speakers.
