Fusion PartyBus Network
The Fusion PartyBus network feature allows you to connect multiple compatible stereo systems using a combination of wired and wireless connections. Note: When connecting Fusion stereo systems to a Garmin BlueNet™ network or Garmin® Marine Network, only Garmin and Fusion devices can be used. You may not be able to use third-party routers, storage devices, or other network products directly with these stereo systems.
Tip: After connecting stereo systems to a Garmin BlueNet network or Garmin Marine Network, you can connect a mobile device to the wireless access point on the connected Garmin chartplotter and use the Fusion Audio app to control the stereo systems.
You can group one compatible stereo system (e.g., Apollo RA670 stereo system) with other compatible stereo systems connected to the Fusion PartyBus network. Grouped stereo systems can share available audio sources and control media playback on all stereo systems within the group, creating a synchronized audio experience across the vessel. You can quickly create, edit, and split groups using any compatible stereo system or remote on the network as needed.
You can use compatible stereo systems and remotes (whether grouped or not) to adjust the volume of available speaker zones on any stereo system on the network.
When building a Fusion PartyBus network, refer to the installation instructions provided with the remote.
Creating a Group
Before creating a group, you must connect multiple compatible stereo systems to the Fusion PartyBus network. For information on installing and configuring the network, refer to the installation instructions provided with the stereo systems.
Note: There are some limitations and considerations when using stereo systems within a group. For more information, see Grouped Stereo Source Considerations, page 7.

Grouped Stereo Functionality
Once a group of stereo systems is created, other features and options are available for all stereo systems in the group.
- After you create a group, all stereo systems in the group can share a synchronized display.
- You can select a source from any stereo system in the group, with some limitations (Grouped Stereo Source Considerations, page 7). The source will play simultaneously on all stereo systems in the group (Selecting Source, page 4).
- You can control playback (e.g., pause and skip tracks) from any stereo system in the group, which will affect all stereo systems in the group.
- You can adjust the volume of any zone on any stereo system in the group. Tip: When you adjust the volume, you can choose to adjust the volume for all stereo systems in the group simultaneously.
Grouped Stereo Source Considerations
You should follow these considerations when selecting sources to play on the network.
- You cannot share AirPlay® sources with grouped stereo systems. Using AirPlay 2 software allows you to play content on multiple stereo systems on the network, but you cannot group these stereo systems.
- When a source is streamed over the data network, there may be a slight delay in synchronized audio. You may notice this if you are also using an external audio source.
- If your TV is connected to the stereo system via "Optical Out" and you continue to use the TV speakers, there will be a delay between the audio from the TV speakers and the audio streamed from the grouped stereo systems.
- If you synchronize a radio station and tune to the same radio station on an ungrouped stereo system, there will be a delay between the audio from the ungrouped stereo system and the audio streamed from the grouped stereo systems.
- If you change the enabled group setting for a source, you can eliminate this delay, but you cannot share this source with grouped stereo systems.
Note: If a stereo system is part of a group, you cannot change its settings. You must remove the stereo system from the group to change any settings.
Group Sync
By default, when you turn off stereo systems in a group, the groups you created are not retained. If you turn off individual stereo systems that were added to a group, those stereo systems will leave the group. If you turn off the primary stereo system in a group, the group will be disbanded. You can enable the Group Sync feature to retain the group membership of stereo systems after they are turned off. The behavior of Group Sync differs depending on how you turn stereo systems on and off.
- If you turn a synchronized stereo system on or off using the power button on the stereo system or the ignition wire (red wire), all synchronized stereo systems in the group will turn on or off together. This applies to all synchronized stereo systems in the group, regardless of whether one stereo system is the primary stereo system in the group. Note: Selecting
Turn Off All
from the stereo system's power menu will turn off all stereo systems on the network, even if they are not in a group or do not have Group Sync enabled. - If you turn a synchronized stereo system on or off using the physical switch on the power wire (yellow wire), the behavior of other synchronized stereo systems in the group may differ.
- If the synchronized stereo system is the primary stereo system in the group, and you turn it off using the physical switch on the power wire, all other synchronized stereo systems in the group will remain on but will leave the group. When you turn the primary stereo system back on, the other synchronized stereo systems will rejoin the group.
- If the synchronized stereo system is not the primary stereo system in the group, and you turn it off and on using the physical switch on the power wire, all other synchronized stereo systems in the group will remain on and grouped. When you turn the stereo system back on, it will rejoin the group.
Enabling Group Sync
Before enabling Group Sync, you must remove stereo systems from any existing groups. If a stereo system is part of a group, you cannot update the settings.
You must enable this setting for each stereo system for which you want to retain group settings after a power cycle.
- Select
Menu button

[] until the stereo system turns off, then turn it back on to reset the stereo system. - Disconnect the stereo system's power for two minutes to reset it.
Network Troubleshooting
If you cannot see or connect to Fusion PartyBus devices on the network, follow these steps.
- Check that all Fusion PartyBus devices, network switches, routers, and access points are connected to the network and powered on.
- Check that wireless Fusion PartyBus devices are connected to a wireless router or access point on the network. Note: Wired connections are more reliable than wireless connections. If possible, connect devices to the network using an Ethernet cable.
- Check that only one device, either the stereo system or the router, is configured as a DHCP server.
- At this point, change the channel of the router or access point to test and correct interference. If there are many wireless access points nearby, you may experience wireless interference.
- At this point, disconnect Bluetooth devices to test and correct interference. Connecting Bluetooth devices to a stereo system configured as an access point or client may reduce wireless performance.
- If you are having difficulty establishing a connection, ensure that your router supports 2.4 GHz band connectivity. This device is only compatible with 2.4 GHz band connectivity when connecting to a wireless router and cannot connect to the 5 GHz band.
- If you have configured static IP addresses, check that each device has a unique IP address, and that the first three sets of numbers in the IP address match, and that the subnet mask is the same for each device.
- If configuration changes you have made may be causing network issues, reset all network settings to factory default values.
