Key Functions
Information
Displays your Tama Character's gender, age, weight, generation, hunger, happiness, training, friendship, and Gotchi points.
Food
Choose a meal or snack to feed your Tama Character.
Toilet/Flush
Clean up after your Tama Character when it makes a mess.
Medicine
Administer medicine to your sick Tama Character.
IR Communication
Play games with other Tama-Go devices and Tamagotchi Music Star & V5. Connect through IR communication to register friends.
Training
Use 'Time Out' or 'Praise' to train your Tama Character. Send to 'Time Out' if misbehaving.
Attention
An indicator light will signal when your Tama Character needs attention. Select this to interact.
Games & Activities
Gotchi Figures
Connect to your Tama-Go to play games and shop. Includes character unlocks 1 game: Cradles.
How to Play Cradles: Use Button (A) to move left, Button (B) to drop, Button (C) to move right. Slide Gotchi Character into the Tama-Go. (Additional figures sold separately).
Door
Access Games, Shop, Park, PC, and Dating Place.
Games
Shoot The Bugs!: Use Button (A) to change direction, Button (B) to shoot.
Long Jumper: Use Button (B) to keep jumping to the next box. Earn Gotchi Points!
PC
Get a password to log in/out of TamaTown.com.
How to login/logout:
- Enter the amount of money you want to bring.
- Use the login password to log in to TamaTown.com.
- Enter the logout password to log out from TamaTown.com.
Canceling after obtaining a login password will result in losing points.
Example: Login Password: 012345, Logout Password: 000000

Meet other Gotchi Characters.
Shop
Buy food or remodel your Tama Character's room (requires Gotchi Points).
Dating Place
When your Tama Character becomes an adult, you can get married here.
Basic Operations
How to Wake Your Tamagotchi
Changing Batteries:
- Using a screwdriver, remove the back of the Tamagotchi.
- Insert 2 AAA batteries. Replace back and screw.
- To set date and time, press Button (B). The date and time screen will appear. Use Button (A) to select and Button (B) to execute for date, month, hour, and minute.
- Set your birthday month/date. Your Tamagotchi might celebrate your birthday.
- Enter your name (up to 8 letters) using Button (A) to select and Button (B) to execute.
- After returning to the main screen, an egg will appear, which will become your Tama Character. Product may take up to 5 seconds to reset.
How to Pause Your Tamagotchi
Press Button (A) and Button (B) together to pause/resume.
How to Reset Your Tamagotchi
- Press the reset button on the back.
- Follow the 'How to Wake Your Tamagotchi' instructions. Product may take up to 5 seconds to reset.
How to Change the Time
- Press Button (B) to view the current time.
- Press and hold Button (A) and Button (C) together until the date begins to flash.
- Use Button (A) to select and Button (B) to choose/set. You can check your birthday, but you cannot change it.
How to Set the Contrast
- Press Button (B) and Button (C) together.
- Press Button (A) for low contrast and Button (B) for high contrast.
Important Battery Information
- Use only new batteries of the required size and recommended type.
- Do not mix old and new batteries, or different types of batteries.
- Ensure correct polarity (+ and -).
- Do not dispose of batteries in fire.
- Replace all batteries of the same type/brand simultaneously.
- Do not short-circuit the supply terminals.
- Remove exhausted batteries from the toy.
- Batteries should be replaced by adults.
- Remove batteries when the toy is not in use or when batteries are discharged.
- Do not use rechargeable batteries.
- Dispose of batteries properly.
