General Features
The Zehnder EVO Connect ModBus allows you to connect your Zehnder EVO ventilation unit to a building automation system using the ModBus communication protocol.
It enables the integration of the ventilation unit itself, as well as any additional Zehnder EVO series wireless control devices, such as humidity and CO2 sensors, into your BMS.
All data is transmitted wirelessly, eliminating the need for extra wiring to the EVO Connect ModBus, which in turn connects to the building management system via RS485.
This setup allows for demand-driven ventilation control, based on detected environmental conditions or user preferences, enabling users to program and control the entire system through home automation. These capabilities help maintain maximum comfort and achieve optimal energy savings year-round.

EVO Connect ModBus Description
The device features a status LED and a reset button.
Status LED:
- Green LED: Indicates the device is powered on.
- Red LED: Indicates a system error.
To restore factory settings and initiate communication with the ventilation unit, press and hold the reset button for 10 seconds.
Connectivity
The Zehnder EVO Connect ModBus facilitates wireless connection to Zehnder EVO ventilation units and various sensors, including:
- EVO Sense
- EVO Humidity Sensor
- EVO Switch
- EVO CO2 Sensor
It connects to the Building Management System (BMS) via ModBus RS485.
Installation
The Zehnder EVO Connect ModBus can be quickly, easily, and safely installed in a 502 or round wall box. The power supply required is 24 V AC/DC.

Mounting: The mounting holes allow the EVO Connect ModBus to be screwed into round or square (502) wall boxes. The cable opening facilitates easy electrical connections.
Internal Overview (Front): The USB micro-connector can be used to update the EVO Connect ModBus module.
