  • HDCP content is not able to display on the attached monitor: HDCP content support is currently not available. DVD, Blu-ray, or other HDCP protected video content will not playback on the attached monitor.
  • DisplayLink Driver is not able to install: Download the latest driver from the Displaylink website or connect to Windows Update with the dock (using Wi-Fi or Ethernet port of the laptop).
  • Laptop failed to boot with dock connected: Remove all USB devices connected to the dock; some unqualified boot devices may cause lock-up at the boot screen.
  • Cannot see display in pre-OS environment: Displays are not fully supported in the pre-OS environment. Only USB devices are supported.

Advanced Troubleshooting

  • First time Internet access causing error message "Insufficient system resources exist to complete the requested service": Download the driver from an Internet-connected computer and copy the driver over a USB flash drive, then run the setup. This can occur when entering extend mode with low system resources; the PC may not have enough memory. Close unused applications or reboot the PC.
  • Incompatible Display Driver: This message appears if the primary graphics card drivers installed are not WDDM compatible. Windows 7 onwards requires WDDM drivers. Download and install the latest graphics drivers for your primary graphics card.
  • Laptop failed to wake up from Ethernet port: Wake-on-LAN feature is not supported on the dock.
  • Laptop fails to power charge when the dock is connected: 1. Ensure the dock is connected properly to its own power adapter. 2. Verify the dock's LED is ON (White LED). 3. Disconnect and re-connect the dock cable to your computer. 4. Ensure the notebook's USB-C port accepts power charging. 5. Check with your notebook manufacturer for power charging compatibility with the dock.
  • No video on the monitors attached to HDMI or DisplayPort (DP) port on the dock: 1. If your monitor is connected to the dock, the video output on your computer may be disabled. Enable it under Control Panel Items > Display > Change Display Setting. 2. Check the resolution settings on your computer; your monitor may support higher resolutions than the dock. Refer to the Display Resolution Table. 3. Ensure the video cable (HDMI or DisplayPort) is connected properly to the monitor and the dock. Select the correct video source on your monitor. 4. If only one monitor is shown, download the latest driver from the Displaylink website or connect to Windows Update with the dock. 5. Try with a different monitor and Laptop computer that are known to be good, if possible.
