AT&T Network Approved Devices

This document lists devices that have been tested and approved for use on the AT&T network. It also provides guidance on how to identify your device's model number.

How to Use This List

Devices listed have been tested and approved for the AT&T network. To see if your device is supported, use the exact models listed. The next page provides instructions on how to find your device's model number.

Note that there are many versions of the same phone, and each version has its own model number even when the marketing name is the same. For example, Galaxy S20 models G981U and G981U1 will work on the AT&T network, but Galaxy S20 models G981N and G981O will NOT work.

Software Update: If your device is listed and requires a software upgrade (noted by a *), ensure you have the latest device software. You can find an eSupport Article on updating your phone or device software.

How to Determine Your Phone's Model

Some manufacturers place the phone model on the outside of the phone, typically on the back. If your phone is not labeled, follow these instructions:

For iPhones®

Go to Settings.
Tap General.
Tap About to view the model name and number.

For Androids®

Go to Settings. You may need to navigate to the System menu.
Tap About Phone or About Device to view the model name and number.

Other phones

Go to Settings.
Tap About Phone to view the model name and number.

Alternatively, for some phones, you may need to remove the back cover and battery to find the model number on a white label inside the phone.
