Chapter 1: Turning On The Power

1.1 Turning On The Power

  1. Push down the Power Switch to turn on the power. (Illustration: Power switch location on the rear of the unit.)
  2. The "Clock Check" screen is displayed. Verify that the displayed date and time match the current date and time. Press the [ENTER] button on the screen to proceed. (Note: Refer to the "Date/Time" menu in Adjustment Mode for changing date or time.)   3. The initial screen is displayed. (Note: The contents of the initial screen may vary depending on machine settings.) Chapter 2: Setup Mode

2.1 Startup

  1. Turn on the power. (Illustration: Power SW.)
  2. Press the [SETUP] button at the upper right side of the screen. (Screenshot: Initial sales screen.)
  3. Press [SETUP] and then [LOGIN]. Input the password "495344" using the numerical keys, and press [SET]. (Screenshot: Menu screen showing OPERATE, TOTAL, PROGRAM, SETUP, ADJUST, LOGIN options.)
  4. Press only the [LOGIN] button to log out.

Chapter 3: Calibration

3.1 Calibration

The Calibration screen allows for scale adjustment. Key settings include:

Menu Name Specification
CAPACITY Select the capacity of the scale (e.g., 6000g, 6kg, 15kg, 30kg, 30lb).
RANGE Select the range (SINGLE / MULTI). The available range depends on the capacity.
GRAVITATIONAL ACC. Enter the gravitational acceleration (Input range: 97799 to 98300).
DATA DISPLAY Select the display type: WEIGHT / VOLTAGE.
INITIAL Initialize the scale.
ZERO Set the current scale status to zero.
SPAN Set the current scale status to CAPACITY according to CAPACITY setting.
+ Add span value.
- Deduct span value.

3.1.1 Procedure for Adjusting Scale (Span)

  1. Press the [ZERO] key to adjust the zero point. The "WEIGHT" field should show "0.000kg" or "0.00lb". Verify that the "A/D" display shows "20000" and the "SPAN A/D" field shows "75000". (Screenshot: Calibration screen showing initial zero point values.)
  2. Place weights equal to the upper limit of the weighing capacity onto the scale. (Illustration: Weights of 5kg and 10kg placed on the scale.)
  3. Check that the "A/D" display shows "95000" and the "WEIGHT A/D" field shows "75000". Use the [+] and [-] keys for minor adjustments if necessary. (Screenshot: Calibration screen showing values after placing weights.)
  4. Press the [SPAN] key. Then, remove the weights from the scale. (Screenshot: Calibration screen after pressing SPAN.)
  5. Push the Memory switch on "PWB:P-1111*---" to memorize the A/D data. (Image: Close-up of memory switch on circuit board and hand pressing it.)
  6. Seal off the Memory switch again.

Chapter 4: Program Mode

4.1 Program Mode Entry / Exit

  1. Ensure the initial screen is displayed. Press the [Return] button on the screen. (Note: Initial screen contents may vary.) (Screenshot: Initial sales screen.)
  2. The "Menu" screen is displayed. Press the [PROGRAM] button. (Screenshot: Menu screen.)
  3. The program menu selection screen is displayed. To navigate pages, press [⬇️] or [⬆️]. (Screenshots: Program menu pages showing various options like PLU, CAMPAIGN, OPERATORS, PRESET KEY, AD MSG., SCHEDULER, STORE, DEPARTMENT, etc.)

Note: To exit Program Mode, press the [SALES] button.

Chapter 5: PLU Data

5.1 PLU Data

  2. The "PLU" screen is displayed. To navigate pages, press [⬇️] or [⬆️]. (Screenshot: PLU screen listing PLU No., PLU NAME, UP (C), F/P (C), M/D.)
  3. Select a desired PLU by pressing its field, then press the [DETAIL] button. (Screenshot: PLU screen with a PLU selected and DETAIL button highlighted.)
  4. The "PLU Detail (Sales)" screen is displayed. To edit the PLU name, press the name field. (Screenshot: PLU Detail (Sales) screen.)
  5. The "PLU Name Edit" screen is displayed. Edit text according to the procedure described in Appendix "Text Editing". (Screenshot: PLU Name Edit screen with keyboard layout.)
  6. Press the "SALE 1" tab to display the "PLU Detail (Sale 1)" screen. This screen shows that "Sales Mode" is set for selling weighing products. (Screenshot: PLU Detail (Sale 1) screen.)

Sales Mode Options:

  1. Press the "SALE 2" tab to select the second sale related screen. (Screenshot: PLU Detail (Sale 2) screen.)
ITEM DESCRIPTIONS
POINT FLAG Press [◀️] or [▶️] to select: 0: OFF, 1: ON.
POINT TYPE Press [◀️] or [▶️] to select: 0: Weight, 1: Fixed weight.
POINTS Enter a desired number.

  7. The selected image has been registered. Press [NO PRINT] or [PRINT] in the "Safe Handling Image" field to select whether or not to print the image. (Screenshot: PLU/DETAIL (IMAGE) screen.)
  8. Press a desired display image field. (Screenshot: PLU/DETAIL (IMAGE) screen.)
  9. The Display Image screen is displayed. Press a desired image for selection. (Note: To use images stored in USB memory, press [STORAGE].   10. The selected image has been registered. Press [NO PRINT] or [PRINT] in the "Safe Handling Image" field to select whether or not to print the image. (Screenshot: PLU INITIAL DATA (IMAGE) screen.)

1st LABEL FORMAT No. (M) Enter a desired format number.
2nd LABEL FORMAT No. Enter a desired format number.
1st LABEL FORMAT No. (A) Enter a desired format number.
1st LABEL PRINT Press [◀️] or [▶️] to select: 1: Yes, 2: No.
2nd LABEL PRINT Press [◀️] or [▶️] to select: 1: Yes, 2: No.

ITEM DESCRIPTIONS
PACK DATE PRINT Press [YES] or [NO] to print the packed date.
PACK TIME PRINT Press [◀️] or [▶️] to select: 0: No print, 1: Designated time, 2: System clock time.
PACK TIME DATA Enter the time (if "1: Designated time" is selected).
SB DATE PRINT Press [YES] or [NO] to print the sell-by date.
SB TIME PRINT Press [◀️] or [▶️] to select: 0: No print, 1: Designated time, 2: Relative time.
SB TIME DATA Enter hours (if "Yes" is selected for SB TIME PRINT).
SHELF LIFE (days) Enter days (if "Yes" is selected for SB DATE PRINT).
USE BY DATE PRINT Press [YES] or [NO] to print the use-by date.
UB DATE DATA Enter hours (if "Yes" is selected for USE BY DATE PRINT).

ITEM DESCRIPTIONS
ITEM CODE Enter an item code.
REG CODE Enter the register code.
POS FLAG Enter a POS flag number (if "1: PLU File" is selected in POS REFERENCE).
BARCODE Enter a barcode number.
POS REFERENCE Press [◀️] or [▶️] to select: 0: Refer, 1: PLU file.
BARCODE TYPE Press this field to display the Barcode Type screen and select a type (e.g., REFER, EAN/UPC, GS1). (Screenshot: Barcode Type screen.)
POS FORMAT (WGT) Press this field to display the Barcode Format screen and select a format. (Screenshot: Barcode Format screen.)
TRACE ENABLE Press [YES] or [NO] to enable/disable traceability.
DEPARTMENT No. Press to display the Department screen and select a department.
GROUP No. Press to display the Group screen and select a group.
