Washer Dryer Specifics: The final part of a washer dryer cycle occurs without heat (cool down) to prevent item damage.
WARNING: Never stop a washer dryer before the end of the drying cycle unless items are quickly removed and spread out to dissipate heat.
Installation: The appliance must be positioned so that the plug is accessible and not behind a lockable door or a door that restricts its opening. Ensure the appliance is installed on a level surface.
Load Capacity: The maximum load capacity for dry clothes depends on the model used.
Chemicals: Do not use the appliance if industrial chemicals have been used for cleaning. Do not dry unwashed items. Items soiled with oil, petrol, or other flammable substances should be washed with extra detergent before drying. Avoid drying foam rubber, rubber-backed articles, or items with foam padding.
Fabric Softeners: Use as specified by the manufacturer's instructions.
Oil-Affected Items: These can ignite spontaneously when exposed to heat. Wash them with extra detergent to reduce the hazard.
Pocket Contents: Remove all objects from pockets, such as lighters and matches.
Electrical Connections: Ensure the electrical system is earthed and complies with applicable law. Use of converters, multiple sockets, or extension cords is strongly advised against. The appliance must not be supplied through an external switching device like a timer.
Maintenance: Before cleaning or maintenance, unplug the appliance and turn off the water tap.
Moving the Appliance: Do not lift by the knobs or detergent drawer. Use two people for lifting. Never rest the door on the trolley during transport.

2. INSTALLATION
Transportation Screws: Remove the transportation screws (A) and associated parts (B) as illustrated. If spacer tubes fall inside, tilt the product to recover them. Cover the holes with the provided plastic caps.
WARNING: Keep packaging materials away from children.
Corrugated Plastic Sheet: Place the corrugated plastic sheet into the base of the appliance as shown in Figure 2 (some models may already have it in place).
Hydraulic Connections: Connect the water hose to the water supply tap using the supplied hose. Do not reuse old hose-sets.
HOT&COLD: For higher energy savings, connect both hot and cold water supply. The grey tube connects to the cold water tap, and the red one to the hot water tap. Connection to cold water only is also possible, but may delay program start.
AQUASTOP: This device stops water flow if the tube deteriorates. A red mark in window "A" indicates the need for replacement. Press "B" to unscrew the nut.
AQUAPROTECT: The transparent containment sheath "B" contains leaks from the internal tube "A" to allow cycle completion. Contact Customer Service to replace the supply tube.
Setting: Install the washing machine in its final position ensuring the water fill hose is not kinked. Insert the drain hose into a suitable drain pipe (50-85 cm height). Route the drain hose above the sink overfill opening to prevent back siphoning. Avoid kinking or trapping the drain hose.
Levelling: Level the appliance using the feet. Turn the nut clockwise to release the screw, rotate the foot to raise or lower, then lock the foot by screwing in the nut.
Plug In: Plug in the appliance. Contact Customer Service if the power cord needs replacement. Installation faults are not covered by the manufacturer's warranty.
3. DETERGENT DRAWER
The detergent drawer has three compartments:
- Compartment "1": for prewash detergent.
- Compartment "8": for special additives, softeners, starch, fragrances, etc.
- Compartment "2": for washing detergent.
WARNING: Only use liquid products for automatic dosing. Some detergents are not designed for the dispenser drawer and should be placed directly in the drum.
Liquid Detergent Cup: Included in some models, place in compartment "2" for correct dosing. Can also be used for bleach with the "Rinse" program.
Some models feature automatic dosage for detergent and softener. Refer to the "CONTROLS AND PROGRAMS" chapter for details.
4. PRACTICAL HINTS
Load Tips: When sorting laundry, ensure:
- Metallic objects (hair clips, pins, coins) are removed.
- Pillow cases are buttoned, zips closed, and loose belts/ribbons tied.
- Rollers, hooks, or clips are removed from curtains.
- Clothing washing labels are read carefully.
- Persistent stains are treated with specific detergents.
Avoid the spinning cycle for rugs, bedcovers, or heavy clothing. Check fabric labels before washing wool. Leave the appliance door slightly open between washes to prevent odors.
Useful Advice for Saving:
- Load the machine to its highest capacity for each program to save energy and water.
- Higher spin speeds reduce noise and residual moisture.
- Longer programs with lower temperatures are generally more efficient for water and energy use.
Maximise Load Size: Washing a full load instead of two half loads can save up to 50% energy.
Pre-wash: Only for heavily soiled laundry. Skipping pre-wash for normal loads saves detergent, time, water, and energy.
Hot Wash: Pretreat stains or soak items to reduce the need for hot wash programs. Use low-temperature programs to save energy.
Drying Program (Washer-Dryers): Use a high spin speed before drying to reduce water content and save energy and time.
Dosing Detergent:
- Use only detergents suitable for machine washing.
- Select detergent based on fabric type, color, soiling level, and washing temperature.
- Follow manufacturer's instructions for correct dosage to avoid waste and environmental impact.
Washing Heavily Soiled Whites: Use cotton programs at 60°C or above with a heavy-duty powder containing bleaching agents.
Washes between 40°C and 60°C: Use appropriate detergents for fabric type and soiling level. Powders are suitable for whites/colorfast fabrics with high soiling; liquids or color-protecting powders for colored fabrics with light soiling.
Washing below 40°C: Use liquid detergents or those specifically labeled for low temperatures.
Washing Wool or Silk: Use detergents specifically formulated for these fabrics.
Excessive Detergent: Can cause excessive foam, hindering correct cycle operation and affecting wash/rinse quality.
Ecological Detergents: May cause cloudier rinse water (due to zeolites) or white powder on laundry (zeolites are not absorbed and don't change color). If foam is present at the last rinse, it may not indicate poor rinsing. Consider using less detergent. For abundant foam, do not re-rinse; consider a maintenance wash with a cleaner.
5. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Exterior Cleaning: Disconnect the machine from power. Clean the external cabinet with a damp cloth, avoiding abrasives, alcohol, and diluents.
Drawer Cleaning: Regularly clean the detergent drawer to prevent residue buildup. Remove the drawer gently, clean under running water, and reinsert. For models with automatic dosing, ensure all compartments are empty before cleaning. Pull out the drawer completely, paying attention to leaks. Fill with hot water and shake to clean all compartments. Empty excess water and reinsert.
WARNING: Do not use acid products (like vinegar) or aggressive detergents to clean the drawer, as they can damage seals and internal parts.
Pump Filter Cleaning: The appliance has a special filter for larger residues. Clean it 5-6 times a year. Disconnect from power, ensure the drum is empty. Place an absorbent cloth under the filter. Turn the filter counter-clockwise. Remove and clean it, then replace clockwise. Lubricating the seal with liquid soap can help refitting. Repeat steps in reverse to reassemble.
Suggestions for Moves or Prolonged Disuse: If the appliance is kept in a non-heated room, remove all water residues from pipes. Disconnect from power, detach the drainage tube, and drain water into a bowl. Secure the drain tube. Keep the door glass and gasket clean. For models with automatic dosing, remove the detergent drawer before tilting or moving the machine.
6. REMOTE CONTROL (WI-FI)
Machine Enrollment (On App): Download the Hoover App, create a user profile, and enroll the appliance by framing the QR code or using the provided link. The App is available for Android and iOS devices.
To Enable Remote Control: Ensure the router is connected to the internet. Load laundry, close the door, add detergent. Turn the program selector to the "REMOTE CONTROL (Wi-Fi)" position. The door locks, and the control panel is disabled. Start the cycle via the app. Turn the selector to OFF to unlock the door after the cycle.
Safety: The door can only be opened if the water level is low and the temperature is below 45°C. Wait for the "DOOR LOCKED" light to switch off.
To Disable Remote Control: Turn the program selector to any position other than "REMOTE CONTROL (Wi-Fi)". The control panel becomes operative again.
