Overview
The three-way floorstanding loudspeaker, Scala Utopia Evo, is the latest version of this key loudspeaker in the Utopia range. Sporting a new terminal board, Scala now offers bi-amplification, allowing you to personalise your sound even more. Scala integrates Focal's latest technological innovations, particularly within the midrange speaker driver with its TMD (Tuned Mass Damper) suspension and its Neutral Inductance Circuit (NIC). These enhancements have resulted in a reduction in distortion, to provide an even more precise and detailed mid-range register combined with Scala's undisputed musicality.

1. Power Flower™ Midrange Speaker Driver (6 1/2" / 16.5cm 'W' cone)
Features 'W' sandwich technology, laser-cut with precision. It incorporates TMD suspension (Tuned Mass Damper) and a Power Flower magnet with NIC technology (Neutral Inductance Circuit). This design ensures very detailed and natural mid-range reproduction, free from harmonic distortion.

2. AL2 Pure Beryllium Inverted Dome Tweeter
Offers a very wide frequency range up to 40kHz. Utilizes IAL2 (Infinite Acoustic Loading) for a low resonance frequency at 528Hz, providing excellent definition, rapidity, and transparency in the mid-range/treble.

3. 11" (27cm) 'W' Woofer
Employs 'W' sandwich technology, laser-cut with precision, for high power handling and strong bass punch.

4. Extra-wide Streamlined Port
Designed to prevent air-flow noise or distortion and avoid dynamic compression of the bass.

5. OPC Filtering +
Allows adjustment of bass (±1dB) and treble (±1dB) levels. It uses very low distortion hi-fi components, wider cables (4mm² for tweeters/midrange, 8mm² for bass), and features 4 exclusive WBT connectors for bi-amping/bi-wiring.

6. Focus Time™
Provides mechanical phase optimization of the speaker drivers, orientating them towards the listener for improved sound staging.

7. Gamma Structure™
Constructed with high-density MDF panels up to 23/8" (6cm) thick for a stable mechanical reference. It features a heavy anti-vibration structure optimized using vibration cartography.
