1. Appearance Introduction

Hidden Ambient Light Sensor (1)
Senses ambient light to automatically adjust screen brightness. ? Do not cover the sensor area to ensure normal use. For screen protectors, use one with a dedicated opening for the sensor.
Camera (2)
Used for taking photos, video calls, and facial recognition login.
Camera Indicator Light (3)
Indicates camera status. It is solid white when the camera is on.
Touch Display (4)
Lightly touch the screen to operate the computer.
Fingerprint Power Button (5)
After registering your fingerprint, a single press of the power button allows you to power on and unlock the computer simultaneously, without needing a password.
Speakers (6)
Sound is emitted from the speakers (x6).
Touchpad (7)
Supports pressure-sensitive touchpad functionality for more flexible computer control. For more details, refer to the Touchpad section. The Huawei Share sensing area on Huawei phones and the computer's Huawei Share sensing area can be touched to enable Huawei Share. The Huawei Share sensing area is located in the center of the touchpad and is not visible externally.

Microphones (9)
Used for video conferencing, voice calls, or recording.
Headphone Jack (9)
Connect headphones.
USB-C Ports (10)
- Connect the power adapter to charge the computer.
- Connect to external devices like monitors or projectors via a docking station.
- Connect external devices such as phones or USB drives for data transfer.
Charging Indicator (11)
Indicates battery charging status:
- Flashing white: Charging.
- Solid white: Fully charged, charging stopped.
2. Keyboard
Note: Keyboard layout may vary by country/region; refer to the actual product.
Function Key Introduction
The F1-F10 keys on the computer keyboard are set to hotkey mode by default, allowing easy execution of common tasks.
- F1: Decrease screen brightness.
- F2: Increase screen brightness.
- F3: Turn keyboard backlight on/off, adjust backlight brightness. ? If there is no icon on this key, backlight is not supported.
- F4: Turn mute on/off.
- F5: Decrease volume.
- F6: Increase volume.
- F7: Turn microphone on/off.
- F8: Switch projection mode.
- F9: Turn wireless network on/off.
- F10: Open Huawei PC Manager.
- (Icon for voice assistant): Turn smart voice on/off.
Hotkey and Function Key Switching
In function key mode, the F1-F12 keys perform different functions depending on the software.
To use F1, F2, etc., as function keys:
- Press the
Fn
key. When theFn
key indicator light is on, F1, F2, etc., are locked in function key mode. PressFn
again to return to hotkey mode (when theFn
key indicator light is off). - Alternatively, go to Huawei PC Manager's settings center, and in system settings, set the keyboard to prioritize function keys. After this setting, F1, F2, etc., will be function keys by default. To switch back to hotkey mode, set the keyboard to prioritize hotkeys.
3. Touchpad
The touchpad on the keyboard provides mouse-like functionality for easier computer control.
? Not all gestures are supported in all applications; refer to actual usage.
Common Touchpad Gestures
- Single finger tap: Equivalent to a left mouse click.
- Single finger double-tap: Equivalent to a double left mouse click.
- Single finger drag: Move the cursor on the desktop.
- Left click: Equivalent to a left mouse click.
- Right click: Equivalent to a right mouse click.
- Two-finger tap: Equivalent to a right mouse click.
- Two-finger scroll: Scroll through screens or documents.
- Two-finger pinch/spread: Zoom in/out on images or web pages.
- Three-finger tap: Use search.
- Three-finger swipe up: Access multitasking view.
- Three-finger swipe down: Show desktop.
- Three-finger swipe left/right: Switch applications.
- Four-finger tap: Quickly open the notification center and calendar.
Changing Touchpad Settings
You can also customize touchpad settings to suit your usage habits.
- Click the Start menu (Windows icon), then Settings (gear icon), then Devices, then Touchpad.
- In the settings interface, click

(or similar navigation), then click the touchpad icon to: - Turn the touchpad on or off.
- Enable or disable the touchpad when a mouse is connected.
- Change touchpad scrolling direction.
- Set functions for finger actions on the touchpad.
Setting Pressure-Sensitive Touchpad Function
The pressure-sensitive touchpad function is enabled by default. You can adjust the touchpad's press sensitivity and vibration intensity according to your preference.
Click the Huawei PC Manager icon (usually found on the taskbar at the bottom of the desktop), then click >
(or similar navigation), select "Pressure-Sensitive Touchpad" to configure the touchpad.
4. Charging the Computer
When the battery is low, the computer will display a low battery warning. Charge the computer promptly to avoid impacting usage.
Charging with Power Adapter
The computer has a built-in (non-removable) rechargeable battery. Connect the power adapter and charging cable to charge the computer. Charging is faster when the computer is off or in sleep mode.
Charging Precautions
- Charge the computer in a suitable temperature range and a well-ventilated, cool, and shaded area. Charging in high temperatures may damage the computer.
- Charging time may vary depending on temperature and battery usage.
- The computer may become warm during prolonged use and charging; this is normal. If it feels excessively hot, disable some functions and stop charging.
- Batteries are consumables. If standby time significantly decreases, do not attempt to replace the battery yourself. Contact a Huawei customer service center to replace it with an original battery.
Understanding Battery Status
You can determine the current battery status by looking at the battery icon in the bottom right corner of the desktop.
- [Battery Icon with Plug Symbol]: Indicates the computer is connected to power. Click it to see the estimated time to full charge.
- [Battery Icon without Plug Symbol]: Indicates the computer is not connected to power. Click it to see the remaining battery level and estimated remaining usage time.
The displayed battery charge time and remaining usage time are estimates by the operating system and not actual times.
5. Enabling the Computer
Powering On and Off
- For the first boot, connect the power adapter; the computer will turn on automatically. After the screen lights up, follow the on-screen prompts for initial setup.
- When the computer is off or in sleep mode, briefly press the power button until the screen or keyboard indicator lights up to turn on or wake up the computer.
- When the computer is in normal use, click the Start menu (Windows icon), then Power, to put the computer into sleep, shut down, or restart state.
- ⚠️ Force Shutdown: Press and hold the power button for over 10 seconds to force shutdown. This may cause data loss for unsaved data, so use with caution.
Getting Features
Click Huawei PC Manager on the taskbar at the bottom of the desktop, then navigate to "Play Tips" to access Huawei Share and other features.
6. F10 One-Key Factory Reset
The built-in F10 system recovery function can restore your computer to its initial state in a short time.
⚠️ System recovery will delete data on the C drive (including desktop files, downloads, documents, etc.). Back up your personal data on the C drive.
- Connect the computer to power. During startup, press and hold or tap the F10 key.
- Once the interface appears, follow the on-screen prompts to perform the factory reset.
7. Accessories and Expansion Lines
Docking Station (Optional Accessory)
Through docking station ports or slots, the computer can connect to various devices and accessories, such as projectors, TVs, USB drives, to meet your expansion needs.
Docking stations are optional accessories and can be purchased separately.
Understanding HUAWEI MateDock 2

Understanding HUAWEI MateDock 3

Connecting to TV, Monitor, or Projector
When watching movies or giving presentations, connecting your computer to a large screen display device like a TV, monitor, or projector enhances the viewing experience.

Connecting USB Mouse, Printer, or Other Devices
Through the docking station's USB-A port, you can connect USB devices such as USB mice, printers, scanners, smartphones, or external hard drives.
Connecting USB Devices
- Plug the device's USB cable into the docking station's USB-A port.
- If the device requires a power adapter, connect its power and turn on the USB device.
- When installing a USB device for the first time, the computer will automatically install the necessary software.
Finding Installed USB Devices
- Click the Start menu (Windows icon) on the taskbar and open File Explorer.
- Click "This PC" to view installed USB devices.
Bluetooth Mouse (Optional Accessory)
Huawei Bluetooth Mouse can be connected to the computer via Bluetooth. For first-time use, you need to pair the Bluetooth mouse with the computer.
Understanding the Bluetooth Mouse
- The Bluetooth mouse is an optional accessory and can be purchased separately.

Installing Battery
As shown in the diagram, open the top cover along the indicated line at the rear of the mouse. Install one AA battery according to the polarity (+/-) markings in the battery compartment. Close the cover to complete installation.
Bluetooth Mouse Pairing with Computer

- Slide the power switch on the bottom of the mouse to the ON position and hold for 3 seconds. The indicator light will flash, and the mouse will enter pairing mode.
- On the computer, click the Start menu (Windows icon), then Settings (gear icon), then Devices, then Bluetooth & other devices. Click "Add Bluetooth or other device," then "Bluetooth." Select "Huawei Mouse" from the discovered Bluetooth devices list and wait for pairing to complete.
Understanding HUAWEI Bluetooth Mouse (2nd Gen)
- The HUAWEI Bluetooth Mouse (2nd Gen) is an optional accessory and can be purchased separately.

Installing Battery
Open the top cover along the indicated line at the rear of the mouse. Install one AA battery according to the polarity (+/-) markings in the battery compartment. Close the cover to complete installation.
Using HUAWEI Bluetooth Mouse (2nd Gen)
- For first-time use, the mouse needs to be paired with Bluetooth devices. It supports connecting up to 3 Bluetooth devices.
- 1. Slide the power switch on the bottom of the mouse to the ON position to turn it on.
- 2. Press and hold the multi-device switching button for 3 seconds. The multi-device indicator light will flash rapidly, and the mouse will enter pairing mode. (For the first pairing, you don't need to long-press the multi-device switching button; the indicator light will flash rapidly upon power-on, and the mouse will automatically enter pairing mode.)
- 3. Initiate Bluetooth pairing on your Bluetooth device. Select "HUAWEI Mouse CD23" and follow the on-screen prompts to complete pairing.
- 4. Briefly press the multi-device switching button; the corresponding multi-device indicator light will turn on. Then, press and hold the multi-device switching button for 3 seconds to pair with another device. Repeat this process to pair up to 3 Bluetooth devices.
- ? The mouse supports Microsoft Windows 10, Windows 8.1, macOS 10.10, iOS 13.1, HarmonyOS 2, Android 5.0 and later systems, and Linux systems (compatibility issues may occur with some Android and macOS/iOS models).
- Using the HUAWEI Bluetooth Mouse (2nd Gen): Briefly press the multi-device switching button to switch the mouse between multiple Bluetooth devices.
8. Safety Information
Read the following precautions before using and operating the device to ensure optimal performance and avoid dangerous or illegal situations.
Electronic Devices
Do not use the device in areas where wireless devices are explicitly prohibited, as it may interfere with other electronic devices or cause hazards.
Impact on Medical Devices
- In medical and healthcare facilities where wireless devices are prohibited, comply with the facility's regulations and turn off the device.
- Radio waves emitted by the device may affect the normal operation of implanted medical devices or personal medical equipment, such as pacemakers, cochlear implants, or hearing aids. If you use such medical devices, consult their manufacturers for usage restrictions.
- Maintain a distance of at least 15 cm (approximately 6 inches) between this device and implanted medical devices (e.g., pacemakers, cochlear implants).
Hearing Protection
- To prevent potential hearing damage, avoid using high volumes for extended periods.
- When listening to music or making calls with headphones, it is recommended to use the minimum volume required for music or calls to avoid hearing damage. Prolonged exposure to high volumes can cause permanent hearing loss.
- Listening to loud music while driving can be distracting and lead to accidents.
Flammable and Explosive Areas
- Do not use the device in gas stations (service stations), near flammable materials, chemical agents, or in any flammable or explosive areas. Observe all graphical or textual instructions. The device may cause explosions or fires in areas where fuel or chemical agents are stored or transported, or in explosive zones.
- Do not store or transport the device and its accessories with flammable liquids, gases, or explosive materials in the same container.
Traffic Safety
- Comply with local or national regulations. Do not use the device while driving.
- Remember that safe driving is your primary responsibility; do not engage in activities that distract you.
- Vehicle electronic equipment may malfunction due to radio interference from the device. Contact the manufacturer for detailed information.
- Do not place the device in the path of a vehicle's airbag or in an area where it could be deployed. If the airbag deploys, the device could be subjected to strong force, causing serious injury to occupants.
- Wireless devices may interfere with aircraft flight systems. Comply with airline regulations. Do not use the device in areas where wireless devices are prohibited.
Operating Environment
- Do not use the device in dusty, humid, dirty, or magnetically strong environments, as this may cause internal circuit failures.
- Do not use the device during thunderstorms. Thunderstorms may cause device malfunction or electric shock.
Temperature and Storage
- Use the device within a temperature range of 0℃ to 35℃ and store it and its accessories within a temperature range of -10℃ to +45℃.
- Operating the device at excessively high or low temperatures may cause malfunction.
- Do not place the device in direct sunlight, such as on a car dashboard or near a window.
- Avoid exposing the device and its accessories to rain or moisture, as this may cause fire or electric shock.
- Do not place the device near heat sources or open flames, such as electric heaters, microwaves, ovens, water heaters, stoves, candles, or anything else that may produce high temperatures.
- The device's temperature may rise after prolonged use. Avoid prolonged contact with a hot device to prevent low-temperature burns, which can cause skin redness or discoloration.
- Keep the device and its accessories away from children and pets to prevent ingestion, which could cause injury or device malfunction/explosion.
- If you experience discomfort in your hand, arm, wrist, shoulder, or neck from repetitive actions (e.g., gaming), stop using the device and consult a physician.
Children's Health
- This device and its accessories may contain small parts. Keep them out of reach of children. Children may damage the device or accessories unintentionally, or choke on small parts.
- This device is not a toy. Children should use it under adult supervision.
Accessory Requirements
- Using unapproved or incompatible power adapters, chargers, or batteries may cause fire, explosion, or other hazards.
- Only use accessories approved by the device manufacturer and designed for this model. Using other types of accessories may violate the device's warranty terms and local regulations, and could lead to safety incidents. For approved accessories, contact Huawei Customer Service.
Charger Safety
- The power outlet used for charging should be installed near the device and easily accessible.
- When charging is complete or not charging, disconnect the charger from the device and unplug it from the power outlet.
- Do not drop or hit the charger. If the charger casing is damaged, contact Huawei Customer Service for replacement.
- Do not use the charger if the plug, casing, or power cord is damaged, to avoid electric shock or fire.
- Do not touch the power cord or charger with wet hands, or pull the power cord to unplug the charger.
- Do not touch the device or charger with wet hands, as this may cause short circuits, malfunctions, or electric shock.
- The charger must comply with the requirements of "2.5 Limited Power Source" in standard GB4943.1 for Information Technology Equipment.
- If the device requires a USB connection, ensure the USB port has a USB-IF logo and meets USB-IF performance specifications.
Battery Safety
- Do not short-circuit the battery by connecting metal objects to the battery terminals or touching the battery terminals. This can cause the battery to overheat, leading to burns.
- Do not expose the battery to high temperatures or heat sources such as direct sunlight, heaters, microwaves, ovens, or water heaters. Overheating may cause the battery to explode.
- Do not disassemble, modify, insert foreign objects into, or immerse the battery in water or other liquids. This may cause battery leakage, overheating, fire, or explosion.
- If the battery leaks, do not allow skin or eyes to come into contact with the leaked liquid. If contact occurs, immediately rinse with water and seek medical attention.
- If the battery shows discoloration, deformation, or abnormal heating during use, charging, or storage, stop using it and replace it with a new battery.
- Do not dispose of the battery in fire, as this may cause the battery to catch fire or explode.
- Dispose of the battery according to local regulations. Do not treat the battery as household waste. Improper disposal may lead to battery explosion.
- Do not allow children or pets to swallow the battery, as this could cause injury or battery explosion.
- Do not drop, crush, or puncture the battery. Avoid subjecting the battery to excessive external pressure, which could cause internal short circuits and overheating.
- Do not use a damaged battery.
- If the device's standby time is significantly shorter than normal, replace the battery.
- This device has a built-in, non-removable battery. Do not attempt to replace it yourself, as this may cause the device to malfunction or the battery to be damaged. For your safety and to ensure product functionality, it is strongly recommended to have the battery replaced by a Huawei customer service center.
Maintenance and Care
- Keep the device and its accessories dry. Do not use microwave ovens or hair dryers to dry them.
- Do not place the device or its accessories in extremely hot or cold environments, as this may cause malfunction, fire, or explosion.
- Avoid subjecting the device and its accessories to strong impacts or vibrations, as this may damage them and cause malfunction.
- Before cleaning or maintenance, stop using the device, close all applications, and disconnect all other devices and cables.
- Do not use harsh chemicals, detergents, or strong cleaning agents to clean the device or its accessories. Wipe the device or accessories with a clean, dry, soft cloth.
- Do not allow magnetic stripe cards (e.g., credit cards, phone cards) to come into prolonged contact with the device, as this may damage the magnetic stripe due to magnetic fields.
- Do not disassemble or modify the device or accessories yourself. Doing so will void the warranty, and if the device malfunctions, contact Huawei Customer Service.
- If the device is dropped or subjected to a strong impact causing breakage, do not touch or attempt to remove broken parts. Stop using the device immediately and contact Huawei Customer Service.
Environmental Protection
- Do not dispose of this device and its accessories as ordinary household waste.
- Comply with local regulations for the disposal of this device and its accessories, and support recycling efforts.
9. Personal Information and Data Security
When using certain functions of the device and third-party applications, your personal information or data may be leaked or lost due to incorrect operation or other reasons. It is recommended to strengthen the protection of your personal information using the following methods:
- Place the device in a secure location to prevent unauthorized access.
- Set up a device screen lock and remember your password or unlock pattern.
- Avoid reading messages or emails from unknown senders to prevent virus infections.
- When browsing the internet on the device, do not visit websites with security risks to prevent personal information theft.
