Getting Started
Printer Overview
The Kodak Step printer features a lid for paper access, a power button (ON/OFF), a Micro USB port for charging, and indicators for charging status and general status. It also includes a reset button.
Loading Paper
- Slide and lift the lid to open the paper compartment.
- Refer to the instructions in the KODAK ZINK paper package for optimal performance and color quality.
- Note: Use only KODAK ZINK 2x3" Photo Paper.
Charging the Printer
Plug the included USB cable into the Micro USB port on the printer. The average charging time is 1.5 hours.
Connecting Your Device
Download the KODAK STEP Prints App. Scan the provided QR code to download the app.
Pairing iOS and Android Devices via Bluetooth®
- Press and hold the power button for 4-5 seconds.
- Ensure your mobile device's Bluetooth® mode is active.
- Tap "KODAK STEP" when it appears on your device.
Safety Precautions
- Do not attempt to disassemble the device.
- Avoid exposing the printer or ZINK® paper to extreme heat or direct sunlight for extended periods, as this can cause overheating or other damage.
- Keep the printer dry. If cleaning is needed, use a soft cloth slightly dampened with water or rubbing alcohol. Never submerge the unit in water.
- Handle the printer with care. Avoid dropping or shaking it violently, as internal components are delicate.
- Do not use cleaning products containing alcohol, gasoline, diluents, or other organic solvents.
- Do not use the device in environments with heavy dust or high humidity.
- Do not use the printer while bathing or showering.
- Do not place or charge the printer where it could fall into a tub or sink.
- Do not place, drop, or submerge the printer in water or any other liquid.
- If the printer falls into water, do not reach in to retrieve it, especially if it is charging. Unplug it immediately before retrieval.
- Prevent objects from falling on or liquids from spilling onto the printer.
- The printer requires the KODAK STEP Prints App (available for Android and iOS) to function.
