Getting Started: Unboxing and Initial Setup
This guide provides instructions for setting up your LG NANO80 or NANO83 series television. Always handle the TV with care.
Step 1: Unboxing
Two people carefully lifting a television out of its packaging box. Carefully remove the television from its packaging. It is recommended that two people handle the TV to prevent damage. Place the TV on a soft, protected surface, such as a blanket or the foam packaging, to avoid scratches.
Step 2: Attaching the Stand
A series of diagrams showing the attachment of the TV stand legs to the bottom of the television using screws. The steps illustrate identifying parts and securing them. Follow the diagrams to assemble and attach the TV stand. This typically involves identifying the correct stand pieces and securing them to the bottom of the TV using the provided screws (e.g., M4 x L16). Ensure all screws are tightened securely.
Step 3: Wall Mounting (Optional)
Illustrations depicting the process of attaching wall mount brackets to the rear of the television and then securing the TV to a wall mount. It implies the use of appropriate hardware. If you plan to wall mount the TV, refer to the diagrams for bracket attachment. Ensure you use appropriate wall mounting hardware suitable for your wall type and the TV's weight. Consult a professional installer if unsure.
Connecting Your TV
The back and sides of the TV feature various ports for connecting external devices.
Input/Output Ports:
- HDMI IN (eARC/ARC): Connect HDMI devices such as Blu-ray players, game consoles, or set-top boxes. The eARC/ARC port supports enhanced audio return channel functionality.
- USB IN: Connect USB storage devices for media playback or firmware updates.
- OPTICAL DIGITAL AUDIO OUT: Connect to an external audio system or soundbar using an optical cable.
- AUDIO OUT/H/P OUT: Connect headphones or external audio devices.
- LAN: Connect to your network via an Ethernet cable for internet access.
- SATELLITE IN / ANTENNA/CABLE IN: Connect a satellite dish, terrestrial antenna, or cable TV feed.
- AV IN: Connect analog audio/video devices using an adapter (e.g., Composite or Component).
- COMMON INTERFACE: Insert a Conditional Access Module (CAM) for encrypted digital TV channels.

Remote Control and Power
Remote Control Setup:
Diagrams showing how to open the battery compartment of the remote control and insert batteries, paying attention to polarity. Open the battery compartment on the back of the remote control and insert batteries, observing the correct polarity (+/-). Close the compartment securely.
Powering On:
Connect the power cord to the TV and a wall outlet. Press the power button on the remote control or the TV itself to turn it on. The TV may display a startup sequence or prompt for initial setup.
