AudioControl LGD Modules: Essential for OE Integration

AudioControl LGD (Load Generating Device) modules are crucial components that install between the factory signal source and aftermarket equipment inputs. They simplify installation and provide an inexpensive way to ensure your OE integration performs optimally.

How LGDs work: Today's factory sound systems often utilize Class D amplifier technology. This technology can sometimes mute, distort, or emit damaging frequencies to new aftermarket audio equipment when the factory system no longer senses an impedance load on its outputs. The AC-LGD series, using carefully selected resistors and a Zobel Network, generates a proper load and stabilizes the signal from the factory system, ensuring the best possible audio output.

LGD Module Types:

  • AC-LGD: For 2005-2015 vehicles (All Makes/Models).
  • AC-LGD20: For 2018+ vehicles w/o amplified OEM systems.
