VTech RM5752 Wi-Fi 1080p Video Monitor Quick Start Guide
Introduction
The VTech RM5752 Wi-Fi 1080p Video Monitor is designed to help parents stay connected to their baby, whether at home or away. It uses a home wireless network to stream live video and audio from an HD camera unit to a 5-inch color screen parent unit. Remote monitoring is also possible via a smartphone or tablet using the MyVTech Baby 1080p app.

Quick Start Guide
1. Set up Wi-Fi Connection
- After the parent unit is fully charged, press and hold the [Power] button until the VTech logo appears on screen to power on the unit.
- Use the
[Left]
or[Right]
navigation buttons to highlight your preferred and secured 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network with a good signal strength, then press [Select]. Note: A password-protected network is required. - Enter the Wi-Fi network password. Press
[Up]

to highlight each character, then press [Select]. When finished, press[Left]
,[Right]
, or[Down]
to highlight "Next", then press [Select].
Following the Wi-Fi setup, the parent unit may automatically prompt you for an update. Refer to the "Auto-prompt for software and firmware updates" section for details.
2. Add Camera
Once the parent unit is connected to your Wi-Fi network, the system will assist in adding your camera. Follow the on-screen instructions, then press [Left]
or [Right]
to highlight "Next", and press [Select].
After your camera is located, the system will connect it via the same Wi-Fi network as the parent unit. Upon successful addition, the parent unit will display the camera image.
Camera Preparation:
- Connect the power cord to the camera and switch the power button to [On].
- Wait until the orange LED is visible and remains illuminated.
- Press and hold the [Pair] button on the right side of the camera. Release the button when you hear a beep.
- Select [Next] when you hear the prompt "ready to start pairing".
Basic Operation
The parent unit menu allows for advanced settings and operations, such as controlling the camera unit's lullaby or adjusting sound detection settings.
- Menu Navigation: Press [Menu/Select] to enter the menu, choose a menu item, or save a setting.
- While in the menu: Use
[Up]
,[Down]
,[Left]
, or[Right]
to scroll through menu options. Press [Menu/Select] to select an item. Press[Volume Down]
to return to the idle screen. - While in a submenu, press
[Left]
to return to the previous menu.
Adjust Speaker Volume: Press [Volume Down]
or [Volume Up]
to adjust the parent unit's speaker volume, which controls the audio transmitted from the camera unit.
Zoom: Press [+]
or [-]
buttons to zoom in or out on the camera feed.
Talk to your baby unit: Press and hold the [Talk] button to speak. Your voice will be transmitted to the baby unit.
Turn off the screen: Press the [LCD On/Off] button to switch off the screen. Audio from the camera unit will continue to be heard.
Parent Unit Settings
- When the parent unit is idle, press [Menu].

Within "General Settings", you can access options such as Language, LCD settings, Camera settings, and About/Help.
Auto-prompt for Software and Firmware Updates
To ensure the HD video monitor operates at its best, the parent unit will notify you when new software or camera firmware versions are available.
- Press [Menu] when prompted to begin the update. The new software will install automatically, and the parent unit will restart upon completion.
- Software and firmware updates require the parent unit to be connected to AC power.

Remote Monitoring
To monitor your baby remotely, download the free MyVTech Baby 1080p mobile app from the App Store or Google Play store onto your mobile device.
Minimum Requirements:
- Android™ 4.4 or later.
- iOS 8.0 or later.
Install MyVTech Baby 1080p Mobile App:
- Open the App Store or Google Play store on your device.
- Search for the app using the keyword "myvtech baby 1080p".
- Download and install the MyVTech Baby 1080p mobile app.
Using the Mobile App:
- Launch the mobile app on your device and create a camera account. It is recommended to use common webmail services, such as Google Gmail, for registration.
- Check your email inbox (and Spam folder) for an activation link from MyVTech Cams. Activate your account via the link, then sign in.
- Follow the on-screen instructions within the app to add the camera to your account. Ensure your mobile device is connected to the same 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network as your parent unit during this process.
- Enter the camera's security key. This key can be found in the parent unit's "General Settings" menu, under "About/Help", then "About".
- Once setup is complete, you can start using your monitoring system remotely.
Remote access requires completing the initial Wi-Fi connection and camera addition steps.
The MyVTech Baby 1080p app supports viewing in 1080p full HD. When viewing concurrently with the parent unit, the maximum video resolution is 720p.
