Champion 200961 2500W Dual Fuel Inverter Generator Quick Start Guide
This guide provides essential steps for setting up and starting your Champion 200961 Dual Fuel Inverter Generator.
Setup
- Step 1: Open shipping carton.
- Step 2: Add oil. Recommended: 10W-30, up to 16.9 fl. oz. (500 ml). DO NOT overfill.
- Step 3: Move the generator outdoors to an open, outdoor area. Point exhaust away. Never run generator in enclosed areas (e.g., not in house or garage). Keep all objects at least 5 feet (1.5 m) from generator. Heat from the muffler and exhaust gas can ignite combustible materials.
- Step 4: Add fuel. For Gasoline: Use unleaded gasoline. DO NOT use E15 or E85. For Propane: Connect propane cylinder.
Start Up
- Step 5: ⚠️ DO NOT plug in any electrical devices.
- ⚠️ NEVER START OR STOP THE GENERATOR WITH ELECTRICAL DEVICES CONNECTED OR TURNED ON!
- Step 6: For Gasoline Operation: Turn the fuel cap vent lever to the "ON" (I) position. For Propane Operation: Open the propane tank valve.
- Step 7: Turn the EZ Start dial to the "CHOKE" position.
- Step 8: For Gasoline Operation: Pull the recoil to start the engine. For Propane Operation: Pull the recoil 3-5 times to prime the engine.
- Step 9: For Gasoline Operation: Turn the EZ Start dial to the gasoline "RUN" position. For Propane Operation: Turn the EZ Start dial to the propane "RUN" position.
- Step 10: For Propane Operation: Pull the recoil to start the engine.
- Step 11: Plug in electrical loads.
