Precautions

Ensure that the AC power supply in your house complies with the identification sticker located on the back of your player. Install your player horizontally, on a suitable base (furniture), with enough space around it for ventilation (3~4 inches). Make sure the ventilation slots are not covered. Do not stack anything on top of the player. Do not place the player on modules or other equipment which may become hot. Before moving the player, ensure the disc tray is empty. This player is designed for continuous use. Switching off the Home Theater to the stand-by mode does not disconnect the electrical supply. In order to disconnect the player completely from the power supply, remove the main plug from the wall outlet, especially when left unused for a long period of time.

During thunderstorms, disconnect AC main plug from the wall outlet. Voltage peaks due to lightning could damage the unit.

Do not expose the unit to direct sunlight or other heat sources. This could lead to overheating and malfunction of the unit.

Protect the player from moisture (e.g., vases), and excess heat (e.g., fireplace) or equipment creating strong magnetic or electric fields (e.g., speakers...). Disconnect the power cable from the AC supply if the player malfunctions. Your player is not intended for industrial use. Use of this product is for personal use only.

Condensation may occur if your player or disc has been stored in cold temperatures. If transporting the player during the winter, wait approximately 2 hours until the unit has reached room temperature before using.

The batteries used with this product contain chemicals that are harmful to the environment. Do not dispose of batteries in the general household trash.

Connections

Connecting the Speakers

Position of the Home Theater: Place on a stand, cabinet shelf, or under the TV stand.

Front Speakers (L/R):

Place in front of the listening position, facing inwards (about 45°) toward you. Align tweeters to ear level. Align front face with the center speaker or place slightly in front.

Center Speaker (C):

Install at the same height as front speakers, or directly over/under the TV.

Rear Speakers (SL/SR):

Place behind the listening position. If space is limited, face them towards each other. Position about 60-90cm (2-3 feet) above ear level, facing slightly downward. Rear speakers handle sound effects and may not always produce sound.

Subwoofer (SW):

Position is not critical; place anywhere.

Selecting the Listening Position:

Position should be 2.5 to 3 times the TV screen size away from the TV (e.g., 2-2.4m for 32" TVs, 3.5-4m for 55" TVs).

Connecting Speaker Wires:

1. Press and hold the terminal tab.

2. Insert the speaker cord.

3. Release your finger.

Caution: Do not let children play with speakers. Ensure correct polarity (+/-) when connecting wires.

Note: Placing speakers near a TV may cause screen color distortion due to magnetic fields. Move speakers away from the TV if this occurs.

Connecting the Video Out to TV

METHOD 1 (Composite Video): Connect the supplied video cable from the VIDEO OUT jack to the TV's VIDEO IN jack.

METHOD 2 (Component Video): If your TV has component inputs, connect a component video cable (not supplied) from the Pr, Pb, Y jacks to the TV's corresponding jacks.

Note: When Progressive scan mode is selected, the VIDEO output (Yellow) does not output any signal.

P.SCAN (Progressive Scan) Function

Progressive Scan provides a clearer, more detailed picture without visible scan lines compared to Interlaced Scan. To activate:

1. Press the [Stop Button].

2. Press and hold the [P.SCAN Button] on the remote for over 5 seconds to toggle between Progressive Scan and Interlace Scan. "P.SCAN" will appear on the display.

For DivX discs: With no disc in the unit, press and hold [P.SCAN Button] for over 5 seconds, then load the DivX disc and play.

What is Progressive (or Non-Interlaced) Scanning?

Interlaced Scan displays fields alternately (odd/even lines), creating a frame from two fields. Progressive Scan displays the entire frame line by line at once, offering a clearer image, especially for moving objects.

Note: This function requires TVs with component video inputs supporting Progressive Video. It may not work on all TVs.

Connecting External Components

Connect digital components via Optical Cable (not included) and analog components via Audio Cable (not supplied). Match connector colors. Use the [AUX Button] or [FUNCTION Button] to select the input (DIGITAL IN, AUX1, AUX2).

Connecting the FM Antenna
