S&P CHGT Series Axial Flow Cabinet Fans
Product Datasheet
CHGT
The S&P CHGT Series axial flow cabinet fans are engineered for critical smoke extraction applications in fire conditions. These fans are certified to F400-120 and F300/F200-120 standards (CE marked).
The casing is constructed from heavy gauge galvanized sheet steel, internally lined with 25mm thick fireproof fiberglass acoustic insulation (M0 rated). The impeller features a variable pitch angle design, is dynamically balanced to ISO 14694: G6.3, and is made from high-grade aluminum. Hubs are manufactured from aluminum or pressed sheet steel, depending on the fan's diameter and temperature requirements.
Standard operating temperature range for air is -20°C to +40°C. For selecting the most suitable configurations and obtaining datasheets, the EasyVent tool is recommended.
Motor Specifications:
- Single speed motors are 4-pole.
- Two speed motors are 4/8-pole.
- IE3 efficiency category is standard for motors 0.75kW and above; IE2 is used for lower kW motors (not applicable to 8-pole or two-speed motors).
- F300-120 and F400-120 motors are IP55 rated and feature Class H insulation.
- Electrical supplies: Three-phase 220-240/380-415-50/60Hz up to 3 kW. For higher power motors and two-speed motors, three-phase 380-415V-50Hz is used.
- Suitable for inverter control.
- In emergency operation, no DOL (Direct On-Line) starter or de-rating is required, provided that VFTM range VSDs (Variable Speed Drives) are used and/or requirements defined in EN 12101-3 are followed.
- 60Hz versions are available via EasyVent.
Other Data:
- Standard air direction is Motor-Impeller (Form A).
- Designed for horizontal airflow installation.
- On request, two-speed options are available in 2/4, 4/6, or 6/12 pole configurations.
- Motors are supplied with PTC thermistors or space heaters.

Attributes
The CHGT Series offers a highly versatile range, distinguished by its different numbers of available blades and adjustable pitch angles. Impellers are available with 3, 5, 6, 7, or 9 blades, featuring adjustable pitch angles to allow for the most optimum selection for any installation type.
Motor Approval: S1 and S2
F400-120 or F300-120 certified motors are approved for continuous running (S1 duty) or for emergency operation (S2 duty).
Key Features
Corrosion Resistance
Casings are manufactured from galvanized sheet steel. The design allows for the casing side panels to be removed, providing easy access to the motor-impeller assembly. This is exemplified by a close-up view of the galvanized sheet steel casing, highlighting its corrosion-resistant material.
Easy to Install
Robust base supports are integrated into the design to facilitate installation (applicable to models from size 900 to 1250). This is shown in a view of the fan's robust base supports, designed for easy mounting.
Impeller Dynamically Balanced
The impeller is dynamically balanced according to ISO 1940 standard, ensuring vibration-free operation. A multi-blade axial fan impeller made of high-grade aluminum, shown with its hub, illustrates this feature.
Wide Blade Design: Higher Pressure
The wide blade design is engineered to ensure the highest efficient airflow performances. Configuration 1 applies to models from 400 to 630 (F400) or 800/6 (F300). Configuration 2 applies to models from 710 (F400) or 800/9 (F300) onwards. This is illustrated by a comparison of two impeller blade designs: one with a standard profile and another with a wider profile, labeled 'Configuration 1' and 'Configuration 2'.
