Welcome to your new JBL Charge 5 portable Bluetooth speaker.

Bluetooth Pairing
Connect your device to the JBL Charge 5 wirelessly via Bluetooth:
- Press and hold the Bluetooth button on the speaker until you hear a sound prompt.
- On your mobile device, go to Bluetooth settings, turn Bluetooth ON, and select "JBL Charge 5" from the list of available devices.
- Once connected, the speaker will indicate it is paired.

Play
Control your music playback directly from the speaker:
- Press the Play/Pause button once to play or pause music.
- Press the Next Track button twice to skip to the next track.
- Use the Volume Up ? and Volume Down ? buttons to adjust the sound level.

PartyBoost
Connect multiple compatible JBL speakers together for a louder, more immersive sound experience:
- Press the PartyBoost button on one speaker to enter PartyBoost mode.
- Press the PartyBoost button on another compatible JBL speaker to connect them.
- The speakers will now play in sync.

JBL Portable App
Enhance your speaker experience with the JBL Portable app. Use it for speaker configuration, software updates, and more.
Download the app from your device's app store.

Charging
To charge your JBL Charge 5, connect the provided USB-C cable to the speaker and a power source.
The battery indicator lights will show the charging status and remaining battery level.

Powerbank
The JBL Charge 5 can also function as a powerbank to charge your other devices, such as smartphones.
Connect your device to the speaker's USB output port using a compatible cable.

Waterproof and Dustproof (IP67)
The JBL Charge 5 is rated IP67, meaning it is waterproof and dustproof.
It can be submerged in water up to 1 meter (3.3 feet) for up to 30 minutes.

Safety and Battery Care
Battery Lifespan: To protect battery lifespan, fully charge at least once every 3 months. Battery life will vary due to usage patterns and environmental conditions.
Liquid Exposure: Do not expose the JBL Charge 5 to liquids without removing the cable connection. Do not expose JBL Charge 5 to water while charging. After a liquid spill, do not charge your speaker until it's completely dry and clean. Charging when wet may result in permanent damage to the speaker or power source. ⚠️
Charging Performance: When using an external adapter or USB-C cable, the speaker performance may be affected during charging.
