Sony BRAVIA XR Television Setup Guide
This guide provides essential information for setting up your Sony BRAVIA XR television.

Getting Started
Before you begin, please read this manual. It is recommended to register your TV for future reference.
Unboxing and Setup
Carefully unpack the television and its accessories. Ensure all components are present before proceeding with installation. A diagram shows the TV being lifted out of its packaging for setup.
Stand Installation
Follow the provided diagrams to attach the table-top stand securely to the TV. Ensure correct orientation and use the provided screws. For wall mounting, refer to the dedicated section.
Wall Mounting
For wall mounting, use the specified Sony Wall-Mount Bracket (e.g., SU-WL855). Ensure the wall is strong enough to support the TV's weight. Follow the separate wall-mount bracket instructions and ensure proper ventilation is maintained around the TV.
Securing the TV
Sony strongly recommends securing the TV to prevent toppling, which could cause injury or damage. This can be done by attaching the TV to a wall or a sturdy stand using appropriate hardware. Ensure children cannot climb on furniture or the TV.
Connecting Your TV
Connect various devices using the available ports:
- HDMI IN: For connecting video and audio sources like Blu-ray players, game consoles, and streaming devices. Supports up to 4K 120Hz and eARC/ARC.
- USB Ports: For connecting external storage devices or accessories.
- DIGITAL AUDIO OUT (OPTICAL): For connecting to audio systems.
- CABLE/ANTENNA IN: For connecting terrestrial or cable TV signals.
- LAN: For wired network connection.
- RS-232C / IR IN: For external control signals.
Ensure cables are routed safely to prevent tripping hazards.
Using the Remote Control
The remote control allows you to operate all TV functions. Key buttons include:
- Power (?): Turns the TV on/off.
- Input (?): Selects input sources.
- Home (?): Accesses the main menu and apps.
- Navigation buttons: For menu selection.
- Volume (+/-), Channel (+/-): Adjusts audio and channel.

- Features like Pixel Shift and automatic brightness reduction help prevent image retention.
- Do not expose the screen to direct sunlight.
- Avoid pushing or scratching the screen.
Electrical Safety:
- Ensure the AC power outlet is easily accessible.
- Use only the supplied AC adapter and power cord.
- Do not touch the AC adapter with wet hands.
- Disconnect power before cleaning.
Prohibited Usage: Do not install outdoors, in vehicles, near medical equipment, or in environments with excessive dust, humidity, or vibration.
