Display
The gateway display shows the time (hours, minutes, seconds), indoor temperature, and relative humidity at the installation location.
Display of Outdoor Transmitters (Optional)
- Up to 5 compatible temperature-humidity transmitters can be displayed. First, set up and register the transmitter(s) as per the quick set-up guide and manual transmitter search.
- Press the CHANNEL button to switch between indoor (IN) and outdoor (OUT) values for channels 1 to 5. The gateway and transmitter ID numbers will briefly appear, followed by the outdoor values.
- An automatic channel display can be activated by pressing the CHANNEL button. A circle symbol appears after the last registered channel. Press the CHANNEL button again to deactivate this function.
- Transmitter ID: Each transmitter has a unique nine-digit alphanumeric ID. This ID is attached to the transmitter. Pressing and holding the TX button in the transmitter's battery compartment for 5 seconds displays the ID on the transmitter's screen.
Loss of Transmitter Signal
- If the signal is lost after successful reception, the last transmitted values are displayed for 30 minutes, after which “- -” appears. The reception symbol disappears.
- After 60 minutes without an update, the gateway automatically searches for the registered transmitter for 5 minutes. If reception fails, the search repeats every 60 minutes. The reception symbol flashes during the search.
- Note: Only previously registered transmitters (with individual IDs) are searched for. New transmitter IDs are only received during the initial device startup or manual transmitter search.
Manual Transmitter Search
- Select the desired channel using the CHANNEL button.
- Press and hold the CHANNEL button for three seconds. A beep will sound, cancelling any registered transmitter ID on that channel and initiating the search.
- The reception symbol will flash. Briefly press the TX button in the transmitter's battery compartment to transmit data. Outdoor values will appear on the gateway display upon successful reception.
Energy Supply
- The gateway requires the supplied mains adapter for normal operation.
- 3 x 1.5V AAA batteries (not included) maintain function and settings during a power failure.
- In battery-only operation, the gateway enters energy-saving mode, disabling Wi-Fi and online connection.
Battery Replacement
- Replace transmitter batteries when the battery symbol appears alongside transmitter measurements.
- Replace gateway backup batteries if the battery symbol appears alongside indoor values, or if no backup batteries are inserted.
- If the voltage drops to the minimum limit in battery operation, the battery symbol will flash, indicating a high risk of system crash. Change the gateway batteries immediately.
Repeated Start-up
- If the device has been previously operated, it will attempt to connect to the internet and server automatically upon plugging in the mains adapter, indicated by a flashing Wi-Fi symbol.
- A stable Wi-Fi symbol indicates a successful connection to the local Wi-Fi and internet. A stable frame around the Wi-Fi symbol indicates a server connection.
- If the server has a location setting for the device ID, the correct local time and date will be received within 10-20 seconds.
- The transmitter reception symbol flashes during startup. Briefly press the TX button in the transmitter's battery compartment to add a new transmitter.
Checking Device IDs
Gateway
To display the gateway's 9-digit device ID, select the indoor values display using the CHANNEL button.
WIFI-Version, Firmware-Version and Current IP Address
Press and hold the + button for 3 seconds in normal mode. The display will show:
- WIFI version (e.g., 'WIFI XXXX') for 4 seconds.
- Firmware version (e.g., 'FW XXXX') for 4 seconds.
- First 3 digits of IP address (e.g., 'IP XXX.') for 4 seconds.
- Remaining 9 digits of IP address (e.g., 'XXX.XXX.XXX') for 4 seconds.
If not connected to a network, dashes (“----“) will be shown for the IP address. In AccessPoint-Mode, the pre-programmed IP is shown. After connecting to the local network, the local IP address is displayed.
Factory-Reset
In case of malfunction or to reset all settings to factory defaults, press and hold the + and CHANNEL buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds. A beep will sound, and 'RESET' will appear on the display with a changing symbol. After approximately 30 seconds, another signal tone will sound. The device must then be put into operation again (refer to the quick set-up guide).
Installation
Positioning of the Gateway and Optional Transmitters
- Place the gateway on a flat, even surface.
- Avoid placing the gateway near sources of interference like computer screens, TV sets, or solid metal objects.
- Do not place the gateway near heaters, other heat sources, or in direct sunlight.
- Install transmitters as described in their respective manuals.
- Check transmission range (up to 100 m in open areas). Range may be reduced by solid walls, especially those with metal parts. Relocate transmitters or the gateway if necessary.
- Ensure the gateway has sufficient Wi-Fi signal reception at the installation location.
Care and Maintenance
- Clean devices with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use solvents or scouring agents.
- Remove batteries and unplug the power adapter if the device will not be used for an extended period. Store devices in a dry place.
