System Diagram
Figure 1 illustrates the Zoeller ProPak™ Series preassembled sump pump system with battery backup. The diagram shows the main components: a submersible DC pump (Model 507 or 508 Aquanot®) installed in a basin, connected via piping to a check valve and then to the primary pump outlet. A separate battery box is shown, housing the 12-volt battery (user supplied), which connects to the DC charger/controller. The controller manages the pump and features indicator lights and alarms. A float switch, equipped with a high-water reed sensor (standard on Fit models, optional on Spin models), is positioned to activate the pump when water levels rise. The diagram indicates connections for the controller outlet and the primary pump outlet. Key notes state that the basin and battery are not included. The 507 DC Pump requires a 30-degree angle for installation, whereas the 508 DC Pump does not. It is also emphasized that the 'off' level of the float assembly must be higher than the DC backup pump, with a minimum of 1 inch clearance. The diagram also indicates compatibility with 16" and 18" basins and references model SK3182.

Note: Performance charts are based on actual performance achieved with a 12 Volt deep-cycle battery. Some manufacturers may publish data based on DC pump testing according to Marine Industry standards, which can reflect a performance 40%-80% higher than actual battery-powered performance.
Pump Performance Curve (Model 507/508 @ 12.1 Volts): This graph illustrates the relationship between Total Dynamic Head (measured in feet and meters) and Flow Rate (measured in gallons and liters per minute) for the 12.1-volt DC pumps. The Model 508 generally shows higher flow rates at lower head pressures compared to the Model 507.

Pump Performance Curve (Model 73/53/98/63): This graph displays the Total Dynamic Head (in feet and meters) versus Flow Rate (in gallons and liters per minute) for the AC pumps. Separate performance curves are provided for Model 73, Model 53/63, and Model 98, detailing their respective flow and head capabilities for effluent and dewatering applications.
