Introducing the Monitor
Front View of the LCD Monitor
The monitor features several control buttons on its front panel:
- 1. QuickFit Button: This is a hotkey to activate the QuickFit function, designed for precise alignment. QuickFit includes common grid patterns, paper sizes, and photo sizes (7 types).
- 2. Auto/Select Button (▼/A): Press and hold this button for 2-4 seconds (VGA mode only) to automatically adjust the image to optimal position, clock, and phase. This hotkey also cycles through six preset video modes (Scenery, Standard, Theater, Game, Night View, sRGB) with SPLENDID™ Video Intelligence technology. Pressing it briefly exits the OSD menu or returns to the previous menu.
- 3. Navigation Button (▼): Press this button to decrease the value of a selected function or move to the next function. This is also a hotkey for adjusting volume.
- 4. MENU Button: Press this button to enter the OSD menu. Press it again to select/enter a highlighted function within the OSD.
- 5. Navigation Button (▲): Press this button to increase the value of a selected function or move to the previous function. This is also a hotkey for adjusting brightness.
- 6. Input Select Button: This hotkey allows you to switch between input signals: VGA, HDMI1, or HDMI2.
- 7. Power Button/Indicator: Press this button to turn the monitor on/off. The power indicator shows the status: White (On), Amber (Standby), Off (Off).
Rear View of the LCD Monitor
The rear panel provides various ports for connectivity:
- 1. DC IN Port: For connecting the power adapter.
- 2. HDMI Port: For HDMI signal input.
- 3. VGA Port: For VGA signal input.
- 4. Audio In Port: For audio input.
- 5. Headphone Out Port: For audio output.
- 6. Kensington Lock: For securing the monitor with a Kensington lock.
- 7. Control Buttons: Additional control buttons for monitor operation.
QuickFit Function
The QuickFit function offers three display modes:
- Alignment Grid: Assists designers and users in aligning content and layout on screen for consistent appearance and feel. (Visual description: A grid pattern labeled 'Alignment Grid').
- Paper Size: Allows users to view documents in their actual size on screen. (Visual description: A representation of a standard paper size, e.g., 'Letter').
- Photo Size: Enables photographers and other users to view and edit photos in their correct, actual size on screen. (Visual description: Displays common photo aspect ratios like 4x6, 3x5, 2x2, 8x10, 5x7).
Setup
Stand Assembly
To assemble the stand:
- Carefully place the monitor face down on a clean, soft surface.
- Attach the stand to the base. Finger-tighten the screws to secure the base to the stand.
- The monitor is now ready for connection.
Recommendation: Place a soft cloth on your desk to prevent damage to the monitor.
Connecting Cables
Connect the necessary cables as described in Section 1.3.2, page 1-4.
Detaching the Stand
To detach the stand:
- Disconnect the power and signal cables. Carefully place the monitor face down on a clean, soft surface.
- Loosen the screws at the base of the stand and detach the stand from the base. Alternatively, use a screwdriver to remove the screws directly.
Recommendation: Place a soft cloth on your desk to prevent damage to the monitor. Hold the base while loosening the screws.
Adjusting the Monitor
For optimal viewing, position yourself directly in front of the monitor and adjust it to your most comfortable viewing angle. Hold the stand to prevent the monitor from falling while changing the angle. The monitor can be tilted from -5° to 20°.

OSD Menu (On-Screen Display)
How to Configure
- Press the MENU button to enter the OSD menu.
- Use the navigation buttons (▲/▼) to highlight and select functions. Press MENU to enter a selected function. If a sub-menu is available, press MENU again to navigate within it.
- Use the navigation buttons (▲/▼) to change settings for the selected function.
- To exit the OSD menu, press the S / A button. Repeat steps 2 and 3 to adjust other functions.
OSD Functions
- Splendid: This function offers 6 preset modes optimized for different viewing scenarios:
- Scenery Mode: Ideal for displaying landscape photos with SPLENDID™ Video Intelligence technology.
- Standard Mode: Best for document editing with SPLENDID™ Video Intelligence technology.
- Theater Mode: Ideal for watching movies with SPLENDID™ Video Intelligence technology.
- Game Mode: Best for playing games with SPLENDID™ Video Intelligence technology.
- Night View Mode: Ideal for gaming or viewing movies with dark scenes, utilizing SPLENDID™ Video Intelligence technology.
- sRGB Mode: Best for viewing photos and graphics from a PC.
Note: In Standard mode, users can adjust Saturation, Color Temp, Skin Tone, Sharpness, and ASCR. In sRGB mode, users can adjust Saturation, Color Temp, Skin Tone, Sharpness, Contrast, and ASCR.
- Color: Adjust the image color to your preference.
- Brightness: Adjustable from 0 to 100. The ▲/▼ buttons also serve as hotkeys for this function.
- Contrast: Adjustable from 0 to 100.
- Saturation: Adjustable from 0 to 100.
- Color Temp: Offers preset modes (Cool, Normal, Warm) and a User mode.
- Skin Tone: Options include Reddish, Natural, and Yellowish.
- Smart View: Adjusts viewing positions with Smart View technology.
Note: In User mode, Red (R), Green (G), and Blue (B) can be adjusted from 0 to 100.
- Image: Adjust Sharpness, Trace Free, Aspect Control, ASCR, Position (VGA only), and Focus (VGA only).
- Sharpness: Adjustable from 0 to 100.
- Trace Free: Accelerates response time using overdrive technology, adjustable from 0 to 100.
- Aspect Control: Options include Full, 4:3, and OverScan (for HDMI sources only).
- ASCR: Enables or disables the dynamic contrast ratio function.
- Position: Adjusts horizontal and vertical position (VGA input only), from 0 to 100.
- Focus: Reduces horizontal and vertical noise by adjusting Phase and Clock settings (VGA input only), adjustable from 0 to 100.
- Phase: Adjusts pixel clock phase. Incorrect phase may cause horizontal noise.
- Clock: Controls the pixel scanning frequency. Incorrect frequency may result in vertical banding or incorrect image width.
- Input Select: Choose the input signal source (VGA, HDMI1, or HDMI2).
- System Setup: Configure system settings.
- Splendid Demo Mode: Activates the Splendid function demo.
- Volume: Adjusts the output volume for speakers or headphones, from 0 to 100.
- ECO Mode: Enables power-saving modes.
- OSD Setup: Adjusts OSD position (horizontal/vertical), OSD Timeout, DDC/CI, and Transparency.
- Language: Select the OSD language from a list including English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Russian, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, Persian, Thai, Indonesian, Polish, Turkish, Portuguese, Czech, Croatian, Hungarian, Romanian, and Korean.
- Information: Displays monitor information.
- All Reset: Select 'Yes' to restore all settings to factory defaults.

Safety Information
Please read the following safety precautions carefully before installing and using the monitor:
- General Precautions: Read all documents in the box. Do not expose the monitor to rain or moisture to prevent fire or electric shock. Do not attempt to open the monitor casing, as high voltages can cause severe injury. If the power supply is damaged, do not attempt self-repair; contact a qualified technician or your retailer. Ensure all cables are correctly connected and the power cord is not damaged before use.
- Ventilation: Slots and openings in the monitor are for ventilation. Do not block these openings or place the product near heat sources.
- Power Source: Use only the power source specified on the label. Consult your retailer or local power company if unsure. Use a power plug that complies with your country's energy standards. Avoid overloading power outlets or extension cords.
- Environment: Avoid dust, moisture, and extreme temperatures. Place the monitor on a stable surface.
- Power Outages: Unplug the monitor during thunderstorms or when not in use for extended periods to protect against power surges.
- Liquids: Do not insert objects or spill liquids into the monitor's openings.
- Compatibility: For satisfactory operation, use the monitor only with UL-listed computers that have appropriate power connectors for AC 100~240V. Ensure wall outlets are easily accessible.
- Service: For technical issues, contact a qualified service technician or your retailer.
