General Information
Application
Secondary silencers designed to reduce air-regenerated noise from air terminal units.
Suitable for TROX air terminal units of types TVZ, TVA, TZ-Silenzio, TA-Silenzio, and TVM.
Nominal Sizes
Available in the following nominal sizes: 125, 160, 200, 250, 315, 400.
Parts and Characteristics
- Casing made of galvanised sheet steel.
- Absorption material made of mineral wool faced with glass fibre fabric.
- Rectangular casing design.
- Room-side connection for air duct profiles.
- Provides thermal and acoustic insulation (lining).

Mineral Wool Properties
- Classification: According to DIN EN 13501, fire rating class A1, non-combustible.
- Quality Mark: RAL quality mark RAL-GZ 388.
- Health Safety: Non-hazardous due to high biosolubility, conforming to the German Ordinance on Hazardous Substances and Note Q of European Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008.
- Erosion Protection: Faced with glass fibre fabric for airflow velocities up to 20 m/s.
- Biological Resistance: Inert to fungal and bacterial growth.
Standards and Guidelines
- Hygiene: Meets the requirements of VDI 6022, DIN 1946 Part 4, DIN EN 16798, and VDI 3803.
- Casing Air Leakage: According to DIN EN 15727, up to NS 200 class C, from NS 250 class B.
- Performance Measurement: Insertion loss, pressure loss, and sound power level measured according to EN ISO 7235.

Rectangular secondary silencer for VAV terminal units to reduce air-regenerated noise, available in 6 nominal sizes. Casing features acoustic and thermal insulation. Flanges on both sides suitable for duct connection. Casing air leakage conforms to DIN EN 15727, up to NS 200 class C, and from NS 250 class B. Meets hygiene requirements of VDI 6022, DIN 1946 Part 4, DIN EN 16798, and VDI 3803. Insertion loss, pressure loss, and sound power level are measured according to EN ISO 7235.
Mineral Wool: According to DIN EN 13501, fire rating class A1, non-combustible. RAL quality mark RAL-GZ 388. Non-hazardous thanks to high biosolubility according to the German Ordinance on Hazardous Substances and Note Q of the European Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008.
