Introduction

Thank you for purchasing Kitchen Couture Air Fryer. The Kitchen Couture Air Fryer evenly circulates hot air rapidly around food. The Kitchen Couture Air Fryer heats up the food from all sides at once, making it a healthier, faster and easier method to prepare tasty food than conventional fryers. The Air Fryer does not use oil to fry food like conventional methods but can still create the crispy outer layer. As a result, food prepared by the air fryer contains up to 80% less fat than those prepared by a conventional fryer. Not only does the Kitchen Couture Air Fryer make your guilty pleasures a healthier choice, it does the job faster. Typical cooking time is 10-20 minutes, compared to the 15-30 minutes by a conventional fryer or oven. This versatile Kitchen Couture Air Fryer is a must-have in every modern home kitchen.

WARNING: Read all instructions carefully before using the appliance.

CAUTION:

Before First Use

  1. Remove all packing material.
  2. Remove any stickers or labels, except the rating label.
  3. Thoroughly clean the oil drainer and frying tray with hot water and liquid washing soap using a non-abrasive sponge. Tip: These parts may be cleaned in the dishwasher.
  4. Wipe the inside and outside of the appliance with a moist cloth.

Preparing for Use

  1. Place the appliance on a stable, horizontal, level, and heat-resistant surface.
  2. Install the oil drainer in the frying tray properly, ensuring it sits at the bottom. WARNING: Do not fill the frying tray with oil or any other liquid. Do not cover the appliance. Do not block air inlets and outlets.
  3. Install the frying tray (with oil drainer) back into the appliance.

First Use

During the first one or two uses, it is normal to smell burning plastic and metal, and hear small sounds. This is due to the initial heating of inner components.

To eliminate smells:

  1. Turn on the appliance, set the temperature to 200°C, and operate without food for 30 minutes.
  2. If smells persist, let the appliance cool down completely, then repeat the 30-minute operation at 200°C without food.

Quick Start

  1. Insert the plug into an earthed wall socket. (Power supply: 220-240V 50Hz)
  2. Touch the Power On/Off button (J). Lights will turn on. The default temperature is 180°C and the default time is 15 minutes.
  3. Adjusting Temperature: Touch Temperature Plus/Minus buttons (B) to adjust. Each adjustment is 10°C. For quicker adjustment, touch and hold the buttons. The temperature can be adjusted from 50°C to 200°C. You will hear a "Beep--" sound with each adjustment.
  4. Adjusting Time: Touch Time Plus/Minus buttons (H) to adjust. Each adjustment is 1 minute. For quicker adjustment, touch and hold the buttons. Cooking time can be adjusted from 1 to 60 minutes.
  5. Using Preset Programs: Alternatively, touch the desired food menu button (e.g., Fries, Meat, Chicken) to select a preset cooking program. The corresponding indicator light will turn on.
  6. Touch the Start/Pause button (I) to begin cooking. The timer will start counting down.

Note: The appliance is in standby status after initial setup, indicated by the Power On/Off light.

Cooking Steps and Tips

  1. Insert the plug into an earthed wall socket.
  2. Pull the frying tray out of the appliance and place it on a flat surface.
  3. Install the oil drainer in the frying tray properly.
  4. Load the frying tray with ingredients.
  5. Install the frying tray (with ingredients) back into the appliance.
  6. Touch Power On/Off (J) to turn on the appliance. Default settings are 180°C and 15 minutes.
  7. Adjust temperature using Temperature Plus/Minus (B) (50°C - 200°C, 10°C increments). Hold for faster adjustment.
  8. Adjust time using Time Plus/Minus (H) (1 - 60 minutes, 1-minute increments). Hold for faster adjustment.
  9. Select a preset cooking program by touching the corresponding food menu button (K, L, M, N, O, C, D, F, G). The Preheat program (default 180°C for 3 minutes) can be used for optimized results.
  10. Touch Start/Pause (I) to begin cooking.

During Cooking:

WARNING: Do not turn the frying tray upside down after cooking, as collected grease and oil may flow back onto the food. The tray, drainer, ingredients, and interior surfaces are hot after cooking; do not touch with hands.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Clean the appliance after every use.

  1. Always unplug the appliance and let it cool down completely before cleaning. Tip: Remove the frying tray to speed up cooling.
  2. Wipe the outside of the appliance with a damp cloth.
  3. Clean the interior walls with a damp cloth or sponge with liquid soap. Remove grease and food residues to prevent smells.
  4. Clean the frying tray and oil drainer with hot water and washing liquid soap using a non-abrasive sponge. TIPS: Accessories are dishwasher safe. Use degreasing liquid for stubborn residues. Soak oil drainer in hot water and soap for 10 minutes if residue sticks.
  5. When the appliance has cooled, clean the heating elements with a damp cloth.
  6. Ensure all parts are clean and dry. Store the appliance in a cool, dry place.
  7. Avoid direct sunlight on the appliance.
  8. Any other servicing should be performed by an authorized service center.

WARNING: Never use metal kitchen utensils, abrasive, or corrosive cleaning materials on the appliance or accessories, as they can damage the finish, surface, or coatings.

WARNING: Do not rinse the appliance with tap water or any other liquid. NEVER immerse the body of the appliance in water or any other liquid.

Troubleshooting

Can I change time and temperature during cooking?Yes. Touch Time Plus/Minus and Temp Plus/Minus to change time and temperature.
Can I change cooking program during cooking?No. You need to stop cooking by touching Start/Pause. Then touch food menu to select a new cooking program and touch Start/Pause to start cooking.
The ingredients are undercooked.The amount of the ingredients is too much.Cook a smaller amount of ingredients at a time. Smaller amounts are cooked more evenly.
The cooking temperature is too low.Set a higher temperature.
The ingredients are cooked unevenly.The cooking time is too short.Set a longer cooking time.

Certain types of the ingredients need to be shaken halfway through the preparation time.Pull the frying tray out of the appliance and shake the ingredients (see sections "Cooking steps and tips" and "Settings").
Fried ingredients are not crispy.You have used a type of ingredients meant to be prepared in a traditional deep fryer.Use oven-ready ingredients.

White smoke comes out of the applianceYou are preparing greasy ingredients.Pay attention that the temperature is well-controlled to be under 180°C when you fry greasy ingredients. Do not prepare extremely greasy ingredients.
There are greasy residues from previous use on the interior walls, heating elements or accessories of the appliance.White smoke is caused by grease heated up. Make sure you clean the interior and accessories properly after each use.
The ingredients prepared smells like burning metal and plastic.You have not cleaned or used the appliance properly in the first time.Clean the appliance thoroughly. Turn on the appliance, set temperature at 200°C and operate without food for 30 minutes. If smells persist, repeat after cooling down. (See sections "Before first use" and "First use")
The screen shows "E1".The temperature sensor connection is loose (probably during transit).Contact your dealer / service center to have it fixed.
