Epson L355 Installation Guide

Please read these instructions before using the printer.

This product requires careful handling of ink. Ink may splash when filling or refilling the ink tanks. If ink stains your clothing or belongings, the stain may be permanent. Use plastic gloves when filling the ink tanks.

The included ink bottles are for printer setup and not for resale.

Do not open the ink bottles until you are ready to fill the ink tanks. The bottles are vacuum-sealed to ensure their reliability.

Step 1: Remove Protective Material

1. The power cable is packed inside the printer. Ensure you remove it.

2. Check that the transport lock is in the print position, otherwise ink will not be supplied and you may experience print quality issues.

3. [Warning Symbol] Do not pull the ink tubes.

4. Remove the transport caps from each ink tank and place them on the inner side of the ink tank unit. Only use the transport caps when transporting the printer.

Step 2: Fill the Ink Tanks

When filling the ink tanks, place a sheet of paper under the ink tank unit. If ink spills, clean it immediately to prevent permanent stains.

[Warning Symbol] Keep ink bottles out of reach of children and do not ingest the ink.

1. Open the ink tank unit lid, then remove the ink tank cap.

2. Screw the ink bottle cap back on tightly, or the ink may spill.

3. Match the ink color to the correct tank, then fill each tank with ink up to the top line indicated on the tank.

4. Securely attach the ink tank cap.

5. Close each bottle with its cap.

6. Close the ink tank unit.

8. Connect the power cable. Do not connect the printer to the computer yet.

9. [Warning Symbol] Do not lower the control panel without first pressing the release bar located underneath it, or you could damage the product.

10. Press the Cancel button for 3 seconds until the power indicator starts flashing. Ink charging will take approximately 20 minutes. When the power indicator stops flashing, ink charging is complete. Do not turn off the printer while ink is charging, or you will waste ink and may have to repeat the initial charge.

Step 3: Load Paper

1. Load paper with the printable side facing up.

2. Do not load paper horizontally; always load it vertically.

Step 4: Install the Software

If your computer does not have a CD/DVD drive, you can download the printer software from the Epson technical support website (see the "Epson Technical Support" section).

Ensure you close all other programs, including any screen savers or antivirus software, before starting the software installation. Make sure the printer is NOT CONNECTED to the computer.

1. In Windows®, if the New Hardware Found screen appears, click Cancel and disconnect the USB cable.

2. Select your language, if necessary.

3. In Windows, accept the license agreement, then click Install. In Mac OS X, click Continue. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the software.

4. When the Select Connection Type screen appears, refer to the "Connection Options" section on the back of this poster for more information, then select your connection.

5. When finished, remove the CD. You are ready to copy, print, and scan! Refer to the instructions on the back of this poster or your electronic User's Guide.
