Quick Guide
1. Power & Navigation: Press the [Play/Pause/Enter] button (▶️) for approximately 3 seconds to turn the device on/off. Tap the [Previous] (⏪) or [Next] (⏩) buttons to navigate through its 9 functions on the main interface. Tap [Play/Pause/Enter] (▶️) to enter a selection, and [Menu/Back] (=) to go back.
2. Audio Playback: Plug earphones into the jack on the bottom left of your device. Tap the "Music" icon to access its function. Use the [Volume Up] (➕) / [Volume Down] (➖) buttons to adjust the volume.
3. Charging: Connect one end of the micro USB cable to the device and the other end to a charger or a computer's USB port.

Play Your Music
Select the music application from the main menu. You can then play your songs from various lists, including "All songs", "Artists", "Albums", "Genres", "Playlists", "Album art", and "Audiobooks". You can also "Update card data".
Music Playback Features
Rewind/Forward
On the main playing interface, long press the [Previous] (⏪) or [Next] (⏩) buttons for rewind/forward functionality. Tap them for the previous/next song. Note: This function is not supported under Bluetooth mode.
Shuffle/Repeat
You can shuffle your music through the button submenu by long-pressing the [Menu/Back] (=) button and selecting "Shuffle" and "Repeat" under "Play mode". Alternatively, access "Setting" from the main interface, then select "Shuffle" and "Repeat" under "Play mode".
Note: Playing through "Music" shuffles songs within the current folder. Playing through "Folder" shuffles songs by folder. Similarly, repeating through "Music" repeats within the folder, while "Folder" allows repeating all songs by folder.
Playlist
Using Preset Playlists: Long press the [Menu/Back] (=) button and choose "Add to playlist". You can add songs to three preset playlists: "Playlist on the go [1]", "Playlist on the go [2]", and "Playlist on the go [3]".
Creating Custom Playlists: Use the free program Media Go, available for download at http://mediago.sony.com/chs/download. Create your playlists in Media Go, then right-click the playlist name and select 'Add playlist to X:' (where X is your MP3 player's disk).
Note: Playlist functionality is not supported under Bluetooth mode.
Audio Book Bookmarks
Long press the [Menu/Back] (=) button and select "Add bookmark" under "Bookmarks". Bookmarks are marked by the stopping time (hh:mm:ss) for convenient continuation. Each audio file supports up to 10 bookmarks. You can overwrite existing bookmarks with new ones. Saved bookmarks can be accessed via "Go to bookmark" and deleted via "Delete bookmark" within the "Bookmarks" menu.
Bluetooth Function
Select the Bluetooth application from the main menu to connect to Bluetooth devices.
- Ensure your Bluetooth device is in pairing mode (typically indicated by flashing green and red lights).
- Your device will attempt to connect automatically upon the first pairing.
- If automatic connection fails, follow these steps: Ensure your BT device is in pairing mode. Select "Bluetooth Search" on the player. When your BT device appears, select it and choose "Connect Bluetooth" for a successful connection.
Note in Bluetooth Mode: Shuffle functions operate on an individual folder basis. To shuffle all songs, place them in a single "Music" folder. Ensure previously paired devices are in pairing mode. Playlist and rewind/forward functions are not supported under Bluetooth mode.
Folder, Recordings, and Tools
Folder View
Select the folder view application to browse all files saved on the player, including recordings, music, videos, and pictures. The player supports AMV and AVI video formats; use the Video Tool for format conversion.
Recordings
The "Recordings" section offers four options: Start voice recording, Recording library, Record format, and Record setting. Tap the [Record/Enter] (▶️) button to start recording.
Important during recording: Only the [Record/Enter] (▶️) and [Menu/Back] (=) buttons are functional. Volume can be adjusted using the [Volume Up] (➕) / [Volume Down] (➖) buttons.
To save the current recording, tap [Menu/Back] (=) or select "yes" when prompted upon returning to the main menu.
Tools
The "Tools" section includes Calendar, Stopwatch, Alarm, and Video functionalities. Select the desired tool.
Pictures, E-book, and FM Radio
Pictures
Tap the [Play/Pause/Enter] (▶️) button to enter/play. Use the [Previous] (⏪) / [Next] (⏩) buttons to navigate up and down. On the main playing interface, long press the [Menu/Back] (=) button to access sub-menus for "Brightness", "Backlight timer", "Slideshow settings", "Delete picture", and "Update card data".
E-book
The device supports reading and editing articles in ".txt" format.
FM Radio
Select the FM radio application. Options include "Presets", "Manual tune", "Auto tune", and "FM recording".
- Presets: Displays radio station frequencies, with a maximum of 30 frequency points reserved.
- Manual tune: Press the [Next] (⏩) button to enter manual search mode. Use the [Previous] (⏪) / [Next] (⏩) buttons to search for programs.
- Auto tune: Press the [Next] (⏩) button to enter auto-tune mode. The device will ask "Do you want to auto-tune the presets?". Confirm with Yes or No. Selecting "Yes" initiates automatic searching and saving of stations.
- FM recording: While listening to a broadcast, long press the [Menu/Back] (=) button to access a sub-menu including "Bluetooth link", "Start FM radio recording", "Save to preset", "Clear preset", and "Tuner Region".
Note: The player defaults to a specific command band. If you are in Japan, you may need to change to the Japan Band setting.
Trouble Shooting
- Media player doesn't work or screen doesn't display content: Check battery power. Verify you can download files. Ensure the USB port connection between the computer and the USB cable is secure. Format the media player if necessary.
- Cannot connect with BT device: Please ensure your BT device is in pairing mode before searching. This is typically indicated by simultaneous flashing of green and red lights on most BT devices.
