General Information
This manual provides information for the Lennox Mini-Split Systems Wireless Indoor Unit Controller (Model 22U52).
Important Note: This manual must be left with the owner for future reference.

Important Safety Information
Frequent changes to operating mode may cause system malfunction. Allow at least one minute between mode changes to allow the system to stabilize.
Requirements for Using the Remote Controller
- Point the remote controller directly at the indoor unit.
- Stand within 26 feet (8 meters) of the indoor unit.
- Do not block the signal between the remote controller and indoor unit.
- The remote controller will not function without a clear line of sight to the indoor unit.
- Do not submerge the remote controller in liquid.
- Do not expose to direct sunlight.
- Do not drop or step on the remote controller.
- Ensure that the remote controller is pointed directly at the indoor unit. If the remote controller is pointed directly toward the ceiling, it will not control the indoor unit (except cassette units if installed directly above the holder).

Overview
Furnished with Wall-Mount, Cassette, Floor Console and Ceiling/Floor Indoor Units.
- Complete remote control of the system.

Wireless Remote Controller Button Functions
The remote control features the following buttons:
- ON/OFF Button: Turns the system on and off.
- UP/DOWN Buttons: Increase or decrease the indoor temperature in one degree increments (maximum 86°F, minimum 62°F).
Temperature cannot be adjusted in FAN mode.
Press and hold both buttons for three seconds to alternate the temperature display between the °C and °F scale.
- SET Button: Scrolls through unit operations. Press OK to confirm. The sequence includes:
- Sleep ☾
- Follow Me ?
- FAN Button: Cycles fan speeds in the following order: AUTO, 20%, 40%, 60%, 80%, 100%.
Holding the FAN button down for 2 seconds activates the Silence feature.
- TURBO Button: Enables the unit to reach the preset temperature during cooling or heating operation in the shortest time.
- MODE Button: Selects system operation modes. Press the button to cycle through settings: AUTO → COOL → DRY → HEAT → FAN.
- ECO/GEAR Button: Controls temperature/energy efficiency.
Only available in cooling mode.
- ECO Operation: Sets unit to 75°F operation if setpoint is lower; sets fan to Auto if setpoint is over 75°F. If setpoint is manually changed to less than 75°F, ECO operation is canceled.
- GEAR Operation: Reduces electrical consumption to 75% or 50%.
- OK Button: Confirms selected function.
- TIMER Button: Initiates an auto-on or auto-off time sequence.
Press the TIMER button to initiate the ON time sequence. Use UP/DOWN buttons to set the desired time. Press TIMER again to initiate the OFF time sequence.
Each press of the button increases or decreases the time in 30-minute increments up to 10 hours. Above 10 hours, each press increases or decreases the auto-timed setting by 60 minutes up to 24 hours. To cancel, set timer to 0.0 or turn the remote off and on.
- SWING Button: Used to stop or start louver auto swing feature.
Pressing the Swing button multiple times will set the louvers at five different fixed airflow angles.
Press and hold the button for five seconds to display the actual room temperature. Press for more than five seconds to revert back to display set temperature.
- BREEZE AWAY Button: Prevents unit from blowing air directly on a person.
Only available in COOL, FAN, or DRY modes.
- CLEAN Button: Starts/stops the Self Clean function (certain models).
- LED Button: Turns the LCD display backlight on the indoor unit on or off.
Wireless Remote Controller Screen Indicators
Information is displayed when the Wireless Remote Controller is powered on:
- Transmission Indicator: Lights up when the remote sends a signal to the indoor unit. ?
- TIMER ON display: Indicates timer is set for ON.
- TIMER OFF display: Indicates timer is set for OFF.
- Silence feature display: Indicates the Silence feature is active. ?
- Low battery detection: Flashes when the battery is low. ?
- MODE display: Shows the current mode (AUTO, COOL, DRY, HEAT, FAN).
- ECO display: Shows when the ECO feature is activated. ?
- GEAR display: Shows when the GEAR feature is activated. ⚙️
- LOCK display: Shows when the LOCK feature is activated. ?
- FAN SPEED display: Shows selected fan speed (Silence, LOW, MED, HIGH, AUTO).
- Silence: 1%
- LOW: 2%-20%
- MED: 21%-40%
- MED: 41%-60%
- HIGH: 61%-80%
- HIGH: 81%-100%
- AUTO: AUTO
Fan speed cannot be adjusted in AUTO or DRY mode.
- Temperature/Timer/Fan speed display: Shows the set temperature by default, or fan speed or timer setting when using TIMER ON/OFF functions.
- Temperature range: 60°F to 86°F (16°C to 30°C)
- Timer setting range: 0-24 hours
- Fan speed setting range: AU -100%
This display is blank when operating in FAN mode.
- Up/Down louver swing display: Indicates louver position. ↔️
- TURBO mode display: Indicates TURBO mode is active. ?
- Breeze Away feature display: Indicates Breeze Away feature is active.
- Active Clean feature display: Indicates Active Clean feature is active.
- Sleep feature display: Indicates Sleep mode is active.
- Follow Me feature display: Indicates Follow Me feature is active.
Note: Some features like Breeze Away, Active Clean, Sleep, Follow Me, TURBO mode, and Up/Down louver swing may not be applicable to all units or modes.
Wireless Remote Controller Operation
Auto Operation
- Press the MODE button to select Auto.
- Press the UP/DOWN button to set the desired temperature.
- Press the ON/OFF button to start the air conditioner.
Cooling/Heating/Fan Operation
- Press the MODE button to select COOL, HEAT, or FAN mode.
- Press the UP/DOWN buttons to set the desired temperature.
- Press the FAN button to select the fan speed (Auto, Low, Med, or High).
- Press the ON/OFF button to start the air conditioner.
Dehumidifying Operation
- Press the MODE button to select DRY mode.
- Press the UP/DOWN buttons to set the desired temperature.
- Press the ON/OFF button to start the air conditioner.
Timer ON/OFF Operation
- Press the TIMER button. The remote controller shows TIMER ON or TIMER OFF icon.
- Press the TIMER button again to set the desired time. Time increases by 30 minutes (0-10 hours) or 60 minutes (10-24 hours).
- After setting, there will be a one-second delay before the signal is transmitted. The set temperature will reappear on the LCD display window after approximately two seconds.
Silence Operation
Press the FAN button for more than two seconds to activate or disable the Silence function.
Advanced Functions
Lock Function
- Press the TURBO and CLEAN buttons together two times in less than one second to lock the controller and prevent tampering.
- Press the TURBO and CLEAN buttons together again for two seconds to unlock the wireless remote controller.
Swing Function
Press the Swing button to activate parallel louver operation. Louvers oscillate up and down automatically. Press and hold the Swing button again to disable.
Pressing the Swing button multiple times will set the louvers at five different fixed airflow angles.
Sleep Function
Enables the system to automatically increase cooling or decrease heating (in 2°F increments) per hour for the first two hours, then maintain a steady temperature for five hours.
The system reverts to the previous operation mode after seven total hours of operation.
To cancel, press the MODE, FAN SPEED, or ON/OFF buttons. SLEEP mode is only available in COOL, HEAT, or AUTO mode.
Follow Me
Allows remote temperature sensing of the room at the remote controller location.
Clean Function (Active Clean)
Washes away dust, mold, and grease that may cause odors by automatically freezing and then rapidly thawing the indoor coil.
- Indoor unit displays "CL".
- After 20 to 45 minutes, the unit will automatically cancel the operation.
Only available in COOL or DRY modes.
