Patient Guide: Filter Cleaning
Your supplier has provided you with the Rhythm Healthcare P2-S4 Portable Oxygen Concentrator. At only 3.3 pounds, this concentrator is designed to provide you with the oxygen you need to do the things you love to do! This guide is intended to show you the things you need to do to keep your P2-S4 running properly and preserve the manufacturer's warranty.
Cleaning Instructions
Pre-Filter Covers
The Pre-Filter Covers must be cleaned weekly to ensure adequate air flow. Remove the Pre-Filter Covers from the Device and clean with a mild liquid detergent and water. Ensure cover is completely dry before use.
It may be necessary to clean the Pre-Filter Cover more often in dusty or polluted environments/conditions. Do not operate device without Pre-Filter Covers in place. This may cause damage to your unit and void your warranty.
Cotton Filter
The P2-S4 has one Cotton Filter. This Cotton Filter cannot be washed; it must be replaced. You should check the cotton filter regularly. If the filter is brown or grey in color, it should be replaced. Replace the filter every 3 months or more often in poor conditions.
To Replace the Cotton Filter
- Push down on the battery latch, as shown in the diagram illustrating its location and function.
- Slide the battery out, following the steps depicted in the diagram for battery removal.
- Turn the device upside down and remove the filter cover door, as indicated in the diagram showing its access point.
- Replace the cotton filter, replace the filter cover door, replace the battery. You will hear an audible click when the battery is attached correctly.
