1. Battery Type
Select a pre-set battery or press [New Battery] to enter the new battery setting interface. You can modify the battery type, mode, and charging current.
The charger supports 7 types of batteries: LiPo, LiHV, LiFe, Lion, LTO, NiMH, and PB. Select the battery type that matches your actual battery and press [Confirm].
Important:
- Choosing the wrong battery type can damage the battery and charger.
- Do not charge batteries without a clear battery type label.
Nomenclature
- LiPo: Lithium Polymer Battery (Nominal voltage: 3.70V, Fully charged: 4.20V).
- LiHV: High-Voltage Lithium Battery (Nominal voltage: 3.85V, Fully charged: 4.35V).
- LiFe: Lithium Iron Battery (Nominal voltage: 3.30V, Fully charged: 3.60V).
- Lion: Lithium-ion Battery (Nominal voltage: 3.60V, Fully charged: 4.10V).
- LTO: Lithium-ion Battery (Nominal voltage: 2.40V, Fully charged: 2.70V).
- NiMH: Nickel-Metal Hydride Battery (Nominal voltage: 1.20V).
- PB: Lead-Acid Battery (Nominal voltage: 2.00V).
2. Number of Cells
Move the cursor to "Battery Cells" and use the [Scroll Wheel] to modify the number of battery cells. Setting to [Auto] allows the charger to identify the number of cell strings based on the connected battery's voltage. Press [Confirm] to apply changes.
Tips:
- Battery over-discharge or overcharge can lead to incorrect cell number identification. Manually set the correct number of strings if necessary.
- Incorrectly setting the number of cells may prevent charging or cause damage.
- Lixx batteries can be identified more accurately when connected to the balance port.
3. Mode
Modify the working mode. Options include Charge, Discharge, Cycle, and Destroy. LiPo, LiHV, LiFe, and Lion batteries can be used for charging and storage. NiMH and PB batteries can be selected for charging.
4. End Voltage Setting (TVC)
Adjust the end voltage for the battery. When charging, this is the cut-off voltage (range: ±50mV of full voltage). When discharging, it's the discharge cut-off voltage. The adjustment step is 0.01V.
TVC: Terminal Voltage Control.
Tips:
- Only LiPo, LiHV, and LiFe batteries can have their cut-off voltage set.
- Do not modify the cut-off voltage if you are unfamiliar with the battery characteristics.
- The charging cut-off voltage can be set within a range of ±50mV of the full voltage.
5. Charging Current
Move the cursor to [Charging Current] and use the [Slider] or [Scroll Wheel] to adjust the current in 0.1A steps. The charger supports up to 30A.
Tips: Set the charging rate of 1-2C according to the battery capacity. For example, for a 2000mAh battery, set the charging current to 2.0-4.0A. Refer to the manufacturer's guidelines for correct charging instructions.
6. NiMH Setting (PeakV)
When the battery type is NiMH, the PeakV value can be set, with a range of 3mV-15mV.
Tips:
- Only NiMH batteries can have the battery negative pressure value set.
- PeakV: The voltage drop peak value of each cell when the NiMH battery is fully charged.
Charging
When charging starts, the charger enters the working interface. You can view voltage, internal resistance, and dynamically set the working current or stop the process.
Display Content Description:
- 24.0V: Input supply voltage.
- 14.8A: Input supply current.
- 20Wh: Cumulative power consumption of the input power supply.
- 45°C: Internal temperature of the charger.
- 32.23V: Voltage of the main port of the first channel.
- 5.00A: Current of the main port of the first channel.
- 10:59: First channel working hours.
- 2000mAh: Cumulative capacity of the first channel.
- 1 4.200V: First battery voltage.
- 4 4.200V: Fourth battery voltage (Red mark indicates balance management).
- -.--V: No battery connected.
Slide the [Voltage Information] to switch to internal resistance information.
Tips:
- Ensure someone supervises the charging process to safely handle abnormalities.
- When charging lithium batteries, connecting only to the main port does not perform balance management. Connect to the balance port for automatic balance management.
- After charging, unplug the battery and insert a new one to continue charging/discharging based on the set mode. If a fixed number of cells is set, batteries with the same number of cells must be connected. If automatic cell number detection is enabled, verify the detected number matches the actual number.

- Automatically Continue Charging: When a battery is fully charged and unplugged, the device will automatically continue charging the next connected battery. This function can be started or stopped in the settings menu.
- Fan Stepless Speed Regulation: The fan speed increases linearly with internal temperature or power output, becoming quieter at lower temperatures or power levels.
- USB Fast Charging: The M8D supports USB fast charging protocols (PD, QC, AFC, FCP, SCP, PE, SFCP, VOC) up to 65W via the USB-C port. The 65W USB-C output is available when the input is between 10-36V.
- Manually Calibrate Voltage: Access this function in system settings. Use a voltmeter to measure the actual battery voltage, move the cursor to the corresponding value, and save the calibration.
- Fully Charged Replenishment: After "Fast charging has ended", if the battery is not removed, it will automatically trickle charge to a fuller state.
- Battery Destruction: For disposing of lithium batteries, this function completely drains the battery's voltage to prevent combustion risk from residual voltage.
Warning: This function should not be used during normal battery operation, as it can cause irreversible damage by emptying the battery.
