Trueplay™ Tuning
Trueplay tuning measures how sound reflects off surfaces in your room (walls, furnishings) and fine-tunes your Sonos speaker for optimal sound quality regardless of placement. Trueplay requires an iOS mobile device running iOS 8 or later. During tuning, you will move around the room holding your mobile device.
- In the Sonos app, navigate to ⚙️ System and select the room you wish to tune.
- Choose Trueplay Tuning to start.
Note: Trueplay tuning is unavailable if VoiceOver is enabled on your iOS device. Turn VoiceOver off in your device settings before tuning.
Auto Trueplay
Portable Sonos products, such as Sonos Roam and Move, can tune themselves automatically using Auto Trueplay. This feature uses the speaker's microphone to analyze the environment and make periodic adjustments for great sound anywhere. To enable Auto Trueplay for a portable speaker, navigate to ⚙️ System in the Sonos app and select your portable speaker.
