CATEYE Air GPS CC-GPS100 Cyclocomputer Quick Start Guide
Getting Started
This guide provides essential information for setting up and using your CATEYE Air GPS CC-GPS100 cyclocomputer. For detailed instructions, please refer to the online manual.
1. Setup
Initial setup requires pairing the Air GPS with a smartphone using the Cateye Cycling™ app.
- Install the Cateye Cycling™ app on your smartphone.
- iOS: App Store
- Android: Google Play
- Open the Cateye Cycling™ app and follow the instructions under "Setup" to pair your Air GPS device.
Note: Operations are described using an iPhone; screens may vary by device and OS version.
2. Measuring
The device displays various statuses during operation:
- Power ON: Device is active.
- Standby: Device is ready for measurement.
- Measurement starts: Indicates the start of data recording.
- Measurement in progress: Data is being recorded.
- Paused: Measurement is temporarily stopped. You can resume by pressing the button.
- Finishing measurement / Power OFF: Measurement has ended or the device is powering down.
You can switch the displayed measurement data by pressing the MODE button.
3. Viewing Trip Data
To view detailed trip data and other information, connect your Air GPS device to your smartphone and transfer the data via the Cateye Cycling™ app. You can view data in summary, graph, or map displays within the app.

The Air GPS package typically includes the main unit, bracket, dial, bracket rubber pad, USB cable (with Micro-USB connector), and a rubber cover for the port. The MODE button is indicated on the unit.

Important Safety Information and Precautions
Warnings (Risk of Death; Prevention of Accidents)
- Operating the Air GPS while riding is dangerous. Do not concentrate on the screen; always ride safely.
- Mount the bracket securely and check it periodically for looseness.
- Never disassemble or modify the device. It contains certified radio equipment and unauthorized modifications are illegal and may void authority to operate.
Cautions (Prevention of Injury, Damage, or Property Damage)
- Keep out of reach of children.
- If using with a light, mount it as far as possible from the Air GPS to avoid measurement interference.
- The device is rated IPX7 (JIS C0920) but should not be operated underwater.
- Avoid strong vibrations, impacts, or excessive force. Discontinue use if abnormalities occur.
- Use only specified voltage and polarity; do not short-circuit the battery.
- Do not leave the device in direct sunlight for extended periods or expose it to fire/heat.
- Clean with a soft cloth dampened with mild detergent, then dry. Do not use paint thinner, benzine, or alcohol, as they can damage the device.
Handling the Rechargeable Battery
First Use / Long Storage:
Recharge the battery fully before first use or after long storage, as self-discharge may reduce voltage.
Charging and Usage Cautions:
- Ensure the USB cable plug is free of dust before charging.
- Do not subject the device to vibrations while charging.
- Charging is not possible when the connected PC is in sleep mode.
- After charging, disconnect the USB cable and securely attach the rubber cover.
- Charging time and operating time are approximate and vary with conditions.
- High temperatures accelerate battery deterioration. Charge only between 5°C and 40°C (41°F and 104°F). Do not place near heaters or in vehicles.
- If operating time significantly decreases after proper charging, the battery may be nearing the end of its service life.
Storage Cautions:
Store in a cool, dry place if not used for extended periods. Recharge for approximately 30 minutes every 6 months.
Disposal Cautions:
Dispose of used batteries according to local regulations. Lithium-ion batteries are recyclable resources.
Smartphone Integration
The Cateye Cycling™ smartphone app allows you to:
- Change Air GPS settings.
- View or delete trip data saved on the Air GPS.
- Import trip data from the Air GPS.
Note: Downloading and using the app incurs communication fees; Wi-Fi connection is recommended.
Warranty Information
Limited Warranty: A 2-year warranty is provided for the Air GPS unit (accessories and battery consumption excluded) from the original purchase date. CatEye will repair or replace defects due to normal use free of charge. Service must be performed by CatEye or an authorized retailer. Proof of purchase is required. Shipping costs to CatEye are the customer's responsibility.
