My G435 Gaming Headset Cannot Connect via Bluetooth to the Nintendo Switch

The G435 was developed before Nintendo released Bluetooth functionality. Therefore, the initial production run of the G435 could not establish a Bluetooth connection with the Nintendo Switch. This issue has been resolved for future production. If you encounter problems connecting the G435 to the Nintendo Switch, a firmware upgrade is required. The device firmware update is available for download here.

Firmware Update Process:

  1. Step 1: Ensure the wireless G435 LIGHTSPEED Gaming Headset is connected to the receiver and power on the device.
  2. Step 2: Check that the battery level is at least 30%. Steps to check the battery status are described here.
  3. Step 3: Run the downloaded EXE file. The following dialog box will appear. The "Logitech G435 LIGHTSPEED Wireless Gaming Headset Update Tool" window displays a headset illustration, prompts to connect the receiver and ensure the headset is powered on and has at least 30% battery, with a 'Continue' button.
  4. Step 4: Click Next and follow the on-screen instructions. The update tool then shows a progress bar labeled "Updating firmware. Do not unplug your G435 LIGHTSPEED Wireless Gaming Headset." with release notes mentioning "Apply optimizations and minor fixes".

Once the firmware update is complete, the screen will display a message indicating the update was successful. The final screen of the "Logitech G435 LIGHTSPEED Wireless Gaming Headset Update Tool" shows a headset illustration with a blue checkmark, confirming "You have successfully updated the firmware.", and a 'Close' button.

Note ?: If the firmware update process is interrupted for any reason, the update may fail. In this case, reset the headset by inserting a SIM-ejector tool into the reset button under the left earpad for 2 seconds until the green LED blinks. The reset button is located under the left earpad.
