1.0 What is the RCE-CLASSIC-SB

The RCE-CLASSIC-SB is a mounting plate designed for the RCM, RNC Keypads (sold separately). It offers three possible installation options to suit different applications.

1.1 Product Image

The RCE-CLASSIC-SB is in two main parts, labelled below:

2.1 Wall Surface Mounting

Step 1

Secure Part B to the wall using two of the four mounting holes. The fixings can be oriented horizontally or vertically.

Step 2

Ensure the RCM/RNC is aligned with the pry gap at the bottom of the RCE. Push the RCM/RNC keypad into Part A. Ensure that the aerial (highlighted red) is pulled to the front of Part A and threaded through the via hole.

Step 3

Turn over Part A and thread the aerial (highlighted red) through the channel on the outer edge of the plate.

Secure Part A to Part B using the four screws.

Step 6

Line up the coverplate clips to the fixing points on Part B and push down firmly to secure the plate.

2.2 Backbox Mounting

The RCE-CLASSIC-SB is compatible with UK or EU backboxes. The RCM/RNC keypad requires a minimum backbox size of 12mm.

Step 1

Mount Part B to either a UK or EU backbox using the vertical or horizontal fixings.

Step 2

Ensure the RCM/RNC is aligned with the pry gap at the bottom of the RCE. Push the RCM/RNC keypad into Part A. Ensure that the aerial (highlighted red) is pulled to the front of Part A and threaded through the via hole. Straighten the aerial in the backbox to improve the wireless range.

Step 5

Step 6

Line up the coverplate clips to the fixing points on Part B and push down firmly to secure the plate.

4.3 RCE-WDGE Mounting

The RCE-CLASSIC-SB can be mounted in the RCE-WDGE to create a portable and freestanding remote control.

Step 1

Secure Part B to the fixings on the RCE-WDGE. There are 2 adhesive pads at the top to help secure the RCE-WDGE to the RCE-CLASSIC-SB.

Step 2

Ensure the RCM/RNC is aligned with the pry gap at the bottom of the RCE. Push the RCM/RNC keypad into Part A. Ensure that the aerial (highlighted red) is pulled to the front of Part A and threaded through the via hole.

Step 3
